I'm gonna make the best ice cream ever.
I'll be famous and everyone will know Verve is the wizard that makes icecreams and he's rich.
Probably.
Maybe I'll be a chaser instead.
Mum and dad don't mind, just so's long as I'm happy and don't hurt no-one and do my chores.
Tricks on them cause I won't do any chores after I change the ice cream world.
Or the quidditch world.
I didn't decide yet.
I don't have to decide until I'm old and have a wand.
It's soon.
The wand bit.
Also the old bit.
I'll make my sister's do my chores then.
Probably not but.
I'm bigger so I'm sposed to do things that are good for them.
Never mind about making them do chores.

Sometimes we go out to the cliffs and I'm allowed to take more.
Some days I don't get to get more rocks but mum reads her books out loud.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.
Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.
It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.
"John, I said
wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.
Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.
Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby. "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.
"...Do you want to play?"
Roleplay Response:"You!" She barked, sharp enough to draw blood.
Maybe Verve had stepped on her foot. Sometimes that happened without him noticing- stepping on things, or barreling into things. The former seemed more likely. She didn't look barrelled-into.
Verve readied an eager gaze, felt his lipcorners curl despite the oncoming storm of this stranger who might turn his bones to bread. A tiny giant, he reflected, is the preferred type of giant.
"...Do you want to play?""I do," his runaway grin shot out like a gnome over a hedge, "I do want to play!"
Similarly, unexpected play was the preferred type of play. He had lucked into a kind of preferred-circumstance-circumstance, which was a preferred circumstance.
"I gotta get my ball first," Verve flailed in the direction of the errant quaffle which had brought him to this corner of the park, "and then you can tell me about the rules. Okay?"
