Tessa looked at him, eyebrows bunched together. "I took the colour out of it," she said, "What about yours?"

Thijs' shoulders shrugged. "I was born with mine. I've always been colourless."

"Are you still? Colourless?"

Thijs watched her turn over the cards, and raised his eyes to hers. Their colours mixed inside his head; white, navy, baby blue. "Not anymore," he said.
