Tessa’s frowned. "There's plenty of competent Aurors at the ministry. Why don't you ask them?"

"Because they'll refuse if I ask. Besides, if it takes them months to find a new ministre-- I don't want to consider how long an investigation might take."

Adeline stood, and the cards shifted like an invisible hand moved them, back towards Tessa’s side of the table. "If you cannot help me, I will find someone who can," she said, and moved towards the door.
