I'm having problems trying to edit my other app, but here is my brand new, revised app, so if the other thread could be deleted that would be wonderful? I'm not sure how to go about handling that.

[/center]

THE BASICS
Name: Chase McKnight
Tibbles Beard of power

Former Character's Name (if you had one): N/A

CHARACTER DETAILS
House Request: Choose based on my personality/history I guess.

Year: I think he would be best suited as a 6th or 7th year,

Bloodline: Muggleborn

Magical Strength (pick one): Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one): Divination

Biography:

Chase Alexander McKnight was born to Broadway Actress Johanna McKnight and a 'drunk, no good, dirty liar of a father' as his mother would put it. Chase's mom, who only wanted the fame and fortune from Broadway, often had a young Chase looked after by nannies and tutors.

Spelling bees, Math competitions, Science fairs; it didn't matter what part of education Chase was competing in, but he was taking courses in High school at the age of nine. There was always one secret that Chase kept from the world... and it was that things happened that shouldn't happen.

Chase's mother died in a car accident when he was 10 years old, and when his father was confirmed KIA during the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Chase's only other living relative was his grandfather's brother, Barnabas Pleasure, a retired Auror who spent the rest of his days inside of his estate's gigantic library, like his mother, Barnabas often had House Elves watching Chase.

The Elves showed Chase the world of magic, and helped his understanding  of the history of Magic as much as a 10 year old kid could comprehend. At this time, Chase struggled with depression from the loss of his parents and the feeling of being alone and cut his face with a knife while staring blankly at himself in the mirror, only stopping when his Uncle intervened.

After a few Shrinks and some medication, Barnabas was relieved when the Owl from Hogwarts came and he could finally ship Chase off to Hogwarts...

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Personality: Often spending his day and nights with his nose in a good book, Chase often avoids conversation with everyone else, unless he really wants to get his opinion in the open. His intelligence speaks for itself, but because of the scars of his past, Chase sometimes lacks the ability to forgive others, and sometimes makes decisions that some would consider cold. Often speaking in sardonic tones, riddles, or quoting famous poems, Chase is truly looking for someone to confide himself into.

Appearance:

Height: 5 ft 10 inches
Weight: 170
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown

Chase's eyes are the color of coffee with cream, and his hair is a disheveled mop of medium length, taupe colored brown hair. His body is slender but very lightly muscled from Quidditch and soccer, and he had the similar good looks of his mother.  He has a long and thin scar from the cheekbone on the left side of his face all the way to his chin.

SAMPLE ROLEPLAY
You come across one of these three posts on the site. Please reply to one only as your character would.
*** Remember, you can only roleplay your own character's actions, not James' or Astrid's.

Option I:

Blimey, the Great Hall was packed. It seemed like everywhere a guy looked there was some clown waving around a House banner or yelling about the game.

'Can you believe it?' 'No way!' 'This must be the biggest upset in Hogwarts Quidditch history...'

Stupid Quidditch.

James flopped into an empty seat at the end of the table, shoved an empty plate out of the way, and let his head sink onto his crossed arms, squishing his freckled nose down flat against the tabletop. He wasn't sure why he'd even bothered to come here, since he definitely wasn't hungry. He'd probably never eat again, in fact. He didn'tdeserve to eat. He hadn't stopped in the locker room to change out of his muddy, sweaty uniform after the game either, because he was pretty sure he probably didn't deserve to be clean too; and anyway he couldn't stand to see the looks on his team mates' faces after he blew their chance at winning one of the biggest games they had ever played.

Just one lousy shot. That's all it would have taken. If he could have just got that one stupid foul shot to go through that one stupid hoop, they could have won and he wouldn't have been the biggest blockhead in the entire school.

As if to prove the point, half the people at the next table suddenly broke into a loud victory chant. James pressed his face further into his arms to hide the bright red blotches he could feel creeping up his cheeks. That was it. He was just going to have to run away and move to Nova Scotia. He'd just cost the three-year-in-a-row Champions the Quidditch Cup! How do you ever live that one down for crying out loud? He was only a second year and he was going to spend the rest of his life as 'that dumb cry-baby kid who dropped the Quaffle!'

It felt like every set of eyes in the room was boring into him, and James couldn't stand it anymore. He jerked himself back up from the table and stomped right back out of the Hall the same way he had come in. As he stormed into the quieter hallway outside, he could hear footsteps somewhere behind him. James rounded on the sound and began to shout, his brown eyes shining with tears. "WHAT! Haven't you ever seen a loser before? Why don't you just take a picture!"

Sample Roleplay Response: Type in your response here.

Chase had unwrapped a piece of toffee  and was in the process of letting the delicious chocolate confection melt away in his mouth as he slowly walked down the corridor with his shoulders hunched, as was his usual habit. Out of nowhere the boy walking in front of him turned around and went of on a ridiculous tirade that he couldn't even comprehend for a few seconds.

"Excuse me?" Chase asked, quickly swallowing his food before interrupting the boy, whom he knew as James, before he could speak, "I heard of your performance during today's game and it's very tough luck, but Quidditch is just a stupid game that means nothing, and to hang your head in such manner is pathetic. Weren't you singing joyously in the Common Room last night about how easy it was going to be today?"

James went to speak again, but Chase held up his hand as if to silence him yet again, "One bad game, however, isn't the end of the world, and I think Hufflepuff wanted the Cup badly this year."

Chase pulled another toffee from his pocket and offered it to James who stood there dumbfounded, rejecting it, and Chase merely shrugged and then popped the toffee into his mouth and continued on his way; leaving James to ponder for a few moments.

I have a question regarding my bio, I know that it's less then 300 words, but I'm capable of doing 300 easily, and would like to fix it, but I can't seem to find an edit button.

Yes, the apps don't have edits, though we do allow edits for posts on the other boards. All you'd need to do is reply in this thread with your new biography and we can look at the new one. When we put your biography on the board we'll post the most current one. I'll go ahead and archive the other thread for you. :)

EDIT: One quick note. In your roleplay response you are currently controlling "James's" actions in addition to your own character's. (Saying the James rejected the candy, for example). On the boards, we are only allowed to write our own characters' actions without permission from the other players, so if you could tweak that part for me I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

I...

I'm not sure why my computer is acting up like this...that wasn't even what I wanted to copy paste...sigh... I'm sorry, I swear that I'm not normally this messy.

Spelling bees, Math competitions, Science fairs; it didn't matter what part of education Chase was competing in, but he was taking courses in High school at the age of nine.  He never fit in socially though, and Chase had a hard time making friends anywhere he went. Chase pulled another toffee from his pocket and unwrapped it, popping it into his mouth, he grimaced one last time before nodding to acknowledge James one last time. He stepped into a side-corridor; leaving James alone to ponder...

OOC: This better?

Would like to throw in that I changed my personal year choices to either be 6 or 5, and not 6 or 7.
