Biography:

Eva Pevenso was a bright, friendly child whose life seemed surrounded in odd happenings. Like when she was a toddler and spent nearly every day pointing out passing owls. It wasn't the owls that puzzled her parents, Ryan and Georgette, so much as the time of day. They questioned all their friends about the daylight habits of owls, but finally wrote it off as some strange, animalistic quirk. Then there were the times her parents wanted to replace her tattered old rag doll, Lizbet. No matter how they tried to dispose of the original, though, it always managed to appear back on her pillow by bedtime.

Nothing could top the incident on her ninth birthday, however, when Eva knocked her mother's prized vase off the mantel. Everyone in the room could have sworn they heard the sound of shattering, but when she went to clean it up there it stood completely unharmed. It was all very strange, and after ten years her parents were running out of rational explanations.

Then, a few months after she turned eleven, Eva received the strangest correspondence her entire family had ever seen. It was a letter, written on parchment and delivered by owl no less, inviting Eva to study at a school in France they had never heard of. A visit from a Beauxbatons Academy representative soon followed, and the Pevenso family suddenly found themselves immersed in the secret world of magic.

The representative explained everything. It was a lot to take in at first, but Ryan and Georgette Pevenso felt nothing but pride for their eldest child's unexpected abilities. They also felt a bit relieved to finally have a explanation for all of Eva's unusual predicaments. Eva's first trip to Diagon Alley soon followed, and that fall, after bidding her family a tearful goodbye, she left home for her first year at Beauxbatons.

Eva is primarily an artist. Her first love is sculpting, though she also dabbles in a bit of painting once in a while. In addition, Eva follows the Pevenso family tradition of music making, and plays the violin.

Long before she ever received her school letter, Eva was the subject of interest of a certain Beauxbatons professor. This professor, the head seer at the school, was practicing some mindless scrying exercises when a vision of Eva was unexpectedly caught in the professor's crystal ball. The professor then took a special interest in the girl. Eva was subsequently added to the list of future Beauxbatons’ students, despite living in England. Unfortunately, the professor passed away before Eva's first year, before they had the chance to meet. Eva has been told the story, though.
