Pureblood

Magical Weakness (pick one):
Divination

Biography:

Three years. Three years of either getting kicked out of school or forcefully moved. Taylor Hart had a reputation that clung like uncomfortable moisture to his skin.

Stereotyped, judged and misunderstood.

Most guys his age had a notorious appearance of trouble. The type of brutes who were caught smoking in the men's restroom, snogging a blonde behind the school or punching a bloke's face in after the final bell rang. Roughed knuckles, eye rolls and perfect finger gestures were the roll that Taylor locked himself into. It was better that way, right? So then no one had the curiosity to dig further and find the true.

His truth.

The truth that tormented him every time the moon cycle shifted, that sickening porcelain orb shining its full brightest. A moon that his peers often were at ease staring at late at night, kissing a crush under it's beautiful shimmering rays.

Not for Taylor, Taylor spitefully dreaded when the full moon cast it's horrifying spell over the night. Creating a long, painful, agonizing night for transitioning into a monster. A monster with hair covering every inch, pointed doberman like ears and slobbering yellow canines. All it had to take was being in the wrong place at the wrong time to change the rest of his life forever.

His could still remember the cheering of his peers, three years earlier on a full moon. A few of the kids had slipped out late at night on a perfect friday, ending the long boring school week with a bang. Thirteen year old Taylor had been dared to jump down in the lake, his chest all puffed to impress the three other girls there. His mates cheered and with a leap of courage, he made the jump.

What he hadn't been ready for was the creature waiting near the treeline below, watching. The kids had claimed to have heard bloodcurdling screams after Talyor Hart had jumped. How they all ran off in fear thinking he was either being attacked by a bear or fell poorly on rocks. One quick trip to St. Mungos after seeing their son stumble into the kitchen with his arm glimmering a new bite mark, his parents were alerted and Taylor never saw his friends again, moving to a new location.

They never stayed in one place.

The more things got too comfortable, the quicker his parents were to leave. His little sister Lila never really understood why they left, due to the fact his parents didn't want Lila to accidentally slip up. Eventually things landed up back to his father's home country, living off the secluded isles of Scotland til Taylor got a hold of his new transition.

His parents finally braved a submission for his placement at Hogwarts, in hopes that due to their past situations, they could potentially house their son in a safer environment. But a looming unspoken thought seemed to follow Taylor as he boarded his first train to the new school, reminders about what happened the last time a werewolf roamed throughout the corridors of Hogwarts.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
You come across one of these posts on the site. Please select one & reply as your character. Remember, you can only roleplay your own character's actions, not Evangeline's or Hugh's.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

Roleplay Response:

His hands dug deeper in his robes, shouldering past huddles of students as they made their way to the Great Hall for dinner. For himself, Taylor preferred to work on his classwork in private and as far from most students as he could. The quiet silence of the dungeons provided great coverage for him to read or write.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?" Except for when the little kids tried to play brave.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Taylor silently groaned at the sight of a smaller girl peering around corners. He could get the fearful appearance of the dungeons, dark and wet wherever you stepped. Almost a creation of halloween itself wherever you walked, especially in such an old creaky castle.

With a roll of his shoulders, the tall dark haired brute quietly made his apperance towards the first year as her gaze was stuck towards the walls, in search for some Emma Birch.

Whoever the bloody hell that was.

Bending a little so his head was closer towards his ear, Taylor's canines glistened in a small smirk.

"Boo."
