Hi Kiasa, We're currently playing out the 1972-1973 term. April will be the summer of 1973. In May, we will be starting the 1973-74 term. This thread will always be updated to show the current year.

Hi Tina!
Thanks for your interest in our site. Before we can accept your application, there are a few changes I'm going ask you to make.
- Can you expand on Tina's bio? What are her parents like? Does she have any siblings? Where did she grow up? Why doesn't she enjoy talking about her blood status? What are some of her favorite things? Does she have any hobbies? The more we know about her past and her personality, the easier it will be to sort her into the right house.
- We write our roleplays in past tense here. So instead, it would be 'Tina flinched...' etc. Also, Tina walking away would theoretically leave James with nothing to reply to. It would be great it you could also add more to your response. Where was Tina before this happened? How did she run into James? Did she see the game and feel sorry for him?

Hi Camilla!
This is only a sample roleplay. If you were involved in an actual thread with another player, they would be responding to what you wrote, so you would be able to interact with them. If you were doing a real thread with James, you might write that Camilla invited him to sit with her. He would then reply, saying that James did decide to join them and he sat down. You would reply after, maybe having Camilla talk to him some more. The series of posts would allow you to have a conversation with him.
What we're asking you to do here is to write the sample rp as though James is going to reply. So you can have Camilla talk to him and ask questions, but you shouldn't write anything about how he reacted or what he might have said.

Your application looks better. There are a couple more changes I'm going to ask you to make before accepting it. - Can you expand on your biography? How did Mandy feel about her parents divorcing and being separated from her sisters? Did she like moving to Florida? What was her life like there? Did she make any close friends? What about the woman who found out she was a witch, how did she know? Why did Mandy end up at Hogwarts instead of a wizarding school in the United States? The more we know, the easier it will be for us to sort you into the correct house. - In your RP response, you should give James something to reply to. If this were a real thread, Mandy walking off would have ended it. Check out our sample applications to see how others have done this. Post your changes here, and we'll look over it again. Thanks!
