Biography: Clark is the eldest child of Elijah Harper and Nightingale Harper (born Hargreaves). His father is also a lawyer and they both work for the same practice, the Bennett & Harper Magical Law Firm, which was set up by his great-grandfather Ernest Harper and his then-associate, Humphrey Bennett. The eldest male of the Harper family has worked for the firm ever since; his grandfather Roy Harper, his dad and then, himself. His mother Nightingale is mainly a lady of leasure, but in her free time she volunteers for a charity in Cornwall which helps mistreated unicorns.

Clark has a younger sister, Aurora (21) and a younger brother, Emrys (17). Aurora has graduated from Hogwarts (she, too, was a Gryffindor) and is training in hope of becoming an Auror. As for Emrys, he is still at Hogwarts (Slytherin). Clark's years at Hogwarts are remembered fondly; though he is still bitter about never making it on the Quidditch team, he occupied his time with countless girlfriends and eventually with his role as headboy. He was a great student and performed well in most of what would be considered 'serious' disciplines by his father; charms, potions, herbology, dueling (kind of struggled at transfiguration but nothing too tragic).

He became his father's apprentice as soon as he finished school. He was keen to learn and prove himself, not only to his dad but also to his associate Edmund; show both men that he could be an integral part of the firm. On his first official case he successfully defended a witch who had been sued for accidental cosmetic damage to another witch, and upon his victory his father decided to make him a partner. He was 26! Although to this day, Clark still has his doubts that the decision was also taken in hope to soften a recent blow to his ego. A few months before, Clark's then-fiancee broke off their engagement and started seeing someone else. It was the first time Clark had actually fallen for somebody, so it was a pretty devastating event for him.

He has since banked on his professional success to multiply his conquests, but doesn't seem to enjoy the chase quite as much as he did before...

ROLEPLAY
Reply as your character to the following:

It was impossible for Dianne to stay out of trouble. It wasn't that she was looking for trouble, it's just that trouble always managed to find her. Today she wished she could find something equally familiar but more comforting.

The five-year old girl hugged her puffskein closer to her and brushed her face in its soft fur for comfort. She had named him herself and he was always her special pet. No she was certain she had never gone down this side street before. Her anxiety increased every second as darkness fell as she walked down the road. A loud noise came to her left and she buried her face in her pet's fur completely. The scared girl bolted the opposite way slamming the both of them into the wall of the nearest building. Tottering back a few steps she found a door a few feet to her right and ran to open it. What light there was inside spilled out into the darkness and she spilled into the room.

Once in, she was caught between the impulse to curl her cloak up more tightly around her and loosen her grip on it. She wasn't alone anymore but she was now among strangers instead, which was nearly as terrifying. Her puffskein had recovered from the shock of the wall and now was purring contentedly as the girl hugged it, causing a mildly calming effect on the girl. Gathering her courage, she marched up to the nearest person, pulled on the nearest clothing hem and blurted out in a loud voice:

"I'm lost and it's dark and I wanted to know where I am but I'm not scared but I am worried that Sambundeakin is scared because he's little and needs something to eat and wants to go home."

She paused to draw a breath in her nearly never-ending sentence, "He misses my and his mommy."

To explain the scared girl held up the custard-colored puffskein. Sambundeakin the puffskein, however simply purred as if nothing on earth was wrong in the world.

Roleplay Response: Clark had finally arranged all of his latest cases' papers in order, and with a flick of his wand unlocked the file cabinet and chucked them in the correct alphabetical compartment. It was a remarkably boring job he had been given; a case of disputed inheritance between two witches and their father's muggle widow. Clark knew he had to prove himself a bit further before taking on any big client, but sometimes he couldn't help but, lets say, aspire to grander things.

He left the downstairs office and made his way to the tiny kitchen at the back of the building, quite ready for a good strong cup of tea. He had just brought the hem of the teacup to his lips when he heard the backdoor opening, and felt a tug at the side of his trousers before he had time to turn around and investigate. Startled, he lifted his cup upwards and spilled some tea on the floor. A young girl, 4 or 5 at the most and clutching a blond puffskein, bursted into a hasty diatribe about how her little pet had lost its mummy and was quite scared. Clark never really had any afinities with children, but he gave the young girl what he thought was his friendliest, most reassuring smile.

''Hey little one, don't worry about a thing. What's your name? Here. We're going to find your mother; she can't be very far and she must be worried sick looking for you, eh?'' He pushed open the door from whence she came and offered her his hand to take.
