She would be the typical little Ravenclaw with a lot of intelligence and creativity. She is constantly being creative or designing her room outside with a bed in the middle of two trees like a hammock. She has always been extremely smart and full of wit and would rather go by what’s in a book then the possible error a teacher could make. Ebony is a little more practical then theory, but all the same, learning is her forte. She is competitive in classes and will not settle for anything less than perfect. She is most likely to correct someone or a professor on what they actually know in order to feel comforted that she is learning correctly.
Year: First year, and then second.
First year would be far more suited as I plan to continue on with this character and I want her to learn from the start.

Biography:
Ebony’s mother and step-father wanted her to have a completely normal life growing up so Ebony was never informed of the wizarding world up until she received her letter to Hogwarts.
Ebony is eleven years old and has no brothers or sisters. She likes attention and correcting the teacher or arguing with them until they see her point of view but when it comes to homework or a test she will do everything at her best despite the teaching abilities she would believe a teacher to have. Loves learning and is very competitive, wants to be the best, not close to it. Very happy girl and she is nice and friendly. A young girl whom usually ‘accidently’ gets up to mischief, (only for the sakes of learning though) and finds logical ways of getting out of trouble with a teacher. She is too smart for her own good and that’s usually the problem. Despite what she thinks, if the teacher won’t listen to her she won’t go off and do her own thing she will continue to pay attention to instructions.
At Hogwarts she would most likely find quidditch to be ‘frightening and irrelevant to learning’ and would mostly likely attempt dueling and give it her all, as it is learning. Has a pet owl named Antonio she plans to bring to Hogwarts.

Personality:
Very intelligent. Would rather go by the rules and instructions in a book then the possible error a teacher could make. Has always dreamt and fantasized about mythical beings and has read fantasy novels since she was very young, is overwhelmed by the realism of it all. She has the potential to be extremely knowledgeable and very smart as she grows older and learns more although she won’t try to learn something if she isn’t interested in it. She is still just a kid. If she was to participate in a class about political events or even politics of magic she would only be interested in the practical part. She likes attention, If the teacher doesn’t notice her *outstanding* work or how hard she is trying; she will try to capture the teachers attention whether good or bad. Her weakness is that she likes attention, and she likes having friends. She would do anything to fit in and she would do anything to be noticed. She can be a little too smart for anyone’s liking, if she gets an answer wrong she will keep at it until the teacher becomes reasonable and understands her point. If she gets into trouble she will try and find a logical way out of it. Ebony would spend most of her time adventuring or studying in the library. Maybe not like every other (promising Ravenclaw), Ebony prefers the practical side to things, she would rather ‘live’ in this magical world she’s always dreamt about rather then read about it. But either, either, she would be very good at both. Very competitive. She likes to be the best, not just close to it. Eb is a very happy cheerful girl overall and loves to make anyone happy, but not if it interferes with her work or her own time. She is afraid of heights and afraid of failure. She dislikes seeing anyone accomplish something better than her. She likes decorating and being creative, making friends and learning.
Appearance:
Straight and sometimes wavy long, Golden brown hair that darkens up over the years. Light blue eyes. Is of the average height. She has quite a small build; she is thin but not too thin. Clear skin, most likely because she is still young, but still.

A sense of claustrophobia crept over her. Ebony pushed her way through the great mass of students chattering on about the Quidditch match. It seemed a considerable portion of students were indignant, fired up and infuriated over just some quidditch game.
Quidditch was irrelevant, especially when learning was critical. Well it seemed critical when you compared the amount of time to do it with having to sit about some game due to the loud mounts of chaos corrupting your study time.
‘Of what use was flying broomsticks anyway? And what, in Merlins world, was a quaffle?’ Ebony pondered, certainly oblivious to any slight distractions throughout the year that didn’t relate to work. Ebony made her way out in a rush through the more deserted part of the hallways with her small, ruffled satchel swung over her shoulder and banging against her hip with every forward movement.
It was the muffled sounds of footsteps in that direction that made Ebony turn away, away from the disapproving clutter of students. Instead she brought herself feet away from another student.
"WHAT! Haven't you ever seen a loser before?” The boy spoke quite aggravated and upset.
“You are not a los-”
“Why don't you just take a picture!"
“If you insist.” she joked.
“Look I don’t know what you've just been through, or whether you’re accepting any comfort? But I need to find a quiet place to study, your welcome to join?” Her voice was spoken gently and comforting, edging closer to the boy and if he refused, right past him.
She tilted her head slightly, observing the boy, awaiting a decision because Ebony didn’t have much time. She never did. Time is valuable, work is critical.
