Biography: (100 words minimum.)
Adelaide is the youngest of five Lisbeth sisters, all named after saints: Catherine (10), Helena (14), Irene (18) and Victoria (21). The Lisbeths are known for their poetic beauty and grace. Her parents, Paul and Camilla Lisbeth, are wealthy pureblood elitists. They both work in the Ministry of Magic’s Department of International Magical Cooperation and are rarely at home. During their lengthy absences, the girls are looked after by Eleanor Vernier, a young French governess, coming from an impoverished pureblood family. Presently, Adelaide and Catherine are the only two sisters still residing in their suburban Wizarding London mansion. Helena and Victoria are away to Hogwarts, and Irene and Victoria live alone in downtown London. Adelaide has a white Persian cat called President.

Naturally, Adelaide is the most spoiled sister, often being referred to by other members of the family as “Princess Adelaide”. She is intelligent, manipulative and a superb drama queen, but is also very sensible and supportive to her sisters. She is the only one who is able to speak to and comfort Helena during her depressive moods. She admires Victoria for her beauty and demeanor and aspires to become like her one day. Out of her four sisters, the only one Adelaide doesn’t get on well with is Catherine. She resents her tomboyish behavior, her fondness of muggleborns and her overall easy approach to life. However, with Cathy’s departure for Hogwarts next fall, Addy will be left alone. This realization has led her to try and repair the broken strings in their relationship. Addy is terrified of being left alone. Without her older sisters there to protect her and cover for her, she will have to learn to fend for herself. Given her spoon-fed upbringing, her natural laziness and lack of responsibility, as well as the fact that she’d never until now felt the need to make any friends, Addy’s ninth year is bound to be filled with hardships and disappointments, as well as many valuable lessons.

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:

Adelaide hesitated over her answer. She was taken aback by the other girl's sharp voice, but also intrigued by the sight of the curious toy. None of the Lisbeth sisters had ever played Quidditch, due to their mother's strict forbidding. She thought sports weren't ladylike and dismissed them as a waste of time, which was why objects such as Quidditch broomsticks always caught Addy's attention.

She remembered another one of her mother's strict prohibitions. Mrs. Lisbeth didn't allow her daughters to communicate with non-purebloods, unless it was absolutely necessary. A rule her older sister Cathy was known to consistently violate. Addy contemplated asking the girl about her blood status, but that would mean risking her chance to play with her fascinating toy. After struggling with the decision for a few seconds, Addy finally decided it was too good an opportunity to miss out on.

"Sure, let's play," she answered nonchalantly. "But on one condition: you let me ride on that broomstick first, and then I'll decide which game we should play. Oh, and I'm Adelaide, by the way. Adelaide Lisbeth."

Addy was only eight, but she had already learnt to announce her name with such poise, you would say she had been trained for this all her life. She was a Lisbeth, after all.
