Bloodline: Unknown (Actually Muggleborn)
Magical Strength: Charms
Magical Weakness: Transfiguration

Biography:
Her mother, Ira, had lived with her father, Charlie, for some time in the Irish town, Swords. She later had three children, two daughters and a son. Her youngest daughter, Kyra, was born a year before her father died. The family went into a disarray, and the young child's mind thought that it was her fault for the mourning family. While her mother and siblings did their best to keep the family together and under control, their quality of life remained the same, enough to survive and live without too much discomfort, but not enough to leave the lower middle class that they were stuck in.
Back to Kyra, though, her mourning and working family hardly gave the young girl much attention. She spent most of her time wandering the calm streets of Swords, glancing into candy shop windows. But she always felt a feeling of guilt over her father's death, despite having only been one.
One of her teachers, noticing her downcast glances and wandering throughout elementary, decided to teach her how to defend herself. For the next few years, she spent her after school hours quickly finishing any homework assigned before joining her mathematics teacher in learning how to properly kick and punch to help her in case she ever got in trouble. While she never found any use for this newfound skill, it did help distract her from the guilt of her father's death.
Her first experiences with magic happened when she had been practicing her self-defense. Practicing one of the kicks, she scrapped herself on one of the nearby desks. The sudden pain had caused her to jerk back, scratching herself further on the desk. The long scratch bled for a bit, before neatly closing itself off right before her eyes. She had glanced up to see if the teacher had seen it as well, but he had been off to the side, unaware of what had happened.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
House Request: Gryffindor
Personality:
Kyra was always the tomboy. She enjoyed playing around in the dirt, as well as learning self-defense. She was generally quite shy, although she would be quite forthcoming whenever she could play sports. Her father's early death and some time on the streets caused her to be a little suspicious of everyone. While she might not have been outwardly showing this, her few close friends illustrated this characteristic. Her shyness allowed her to become very passionate about her interests and some of her opinions (although she was never very good at expressing her opinions).
Appearance:
Kyra was an average height, although slightly underweight. Her thin frame confused some, thinking that she would be weak. The opposite, in fact, was true. While her thin frame might not have allowed her to join any sports, her muscle certainly did.
Kyra has slightly wavy auburn hair that goes to the middle of her back. It is generally tied in a ponytail or bun. She has a soft jawbone with no distinguishing marks asides from her blue, almost purple, eyes.
SAMPLE ROLEPLAY
Option I:
The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.
A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.
The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.
Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.
Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.
If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.
Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.
"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.
Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.
"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"
The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.
Response:
Kyra had wished to explore the new potential home. It felt odd to her that after 11 years of living in Ireland, she would have to suddenly move to get a magical education. But if this was her fate, then she knew that she wanted to explore every part of the massive castle before she has to leave. And what better place then to start in the Dungeons. So, having previously been at the entrance, she quickly treaded down the stairs into the basement of the school.
When she was nearing the end of the stairs, she furrowed her eyebrows, stopping suddenly. She was almost sure she had heard something, but she couldn't quite place where it had come from. The young girl crept down the last few stairs, glancing around, before hearing the voice again. It was female. Kyra stood up, glancing at the girl. Although she had never been good at reading emotions, she guessed that the girl was afraid. Examining the room, she could understand why. It seemed dark, and cold below the school. Even the chatter that she had heard one floor above seemed to have dissipated, leaving the Dungeons to remain suspicious. She couldn't understand how people would be willing to live down here.
"Hello. I'm Kyra. Who were you trying to talk to? And why are you down here? It's quite cold." Kyra furrowed her eyebrows, glancing sympathetically at the other young girl. Her curiosity overlooked her shyness, but her suspicious nature held.
