Vivian Jangleton is the adopted stepsister of her elder sibling, Elena and as a young child has always looked up to her. She is originally from France having visited London a a young age while on a tour of the country but was snatched away by a couple of debtors who held her as ransom if her parents did not pay what was owed, a consequence of a buisness deal gone nasty. No attempt was made to find a solution until a raid by Muggle authorites on the safehouse secured her freedom. She was put into foster care services where she was eventually adopted by the Jangletons. She eventually ended up adopting their surname throwing away her orginal surname of Couture. Though it seemed, it was not as it seemed as she quicky boned with her siblings, Elena and Darren, the parents who overlooked al three children were known to be strong supporters of the Dark Arts engaging in shady dealings behind their backs and had Darren, their brother put on trial when he intervened too much though nothing came of the case. Her sister secured the payments and supplies needed when Vivian came of age for Hogwarts though her parents were strongly against sending her because of her blood status even lending her some old items of hers. Vivian was very academically studious in her first years and mingled little, which earned her the nickname "Nerdy V." Her instructors and those close to her encouraged her to get out there a bit more and she has accepted that challenge with a passion.
→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.
House Request: Ravenclaw
Personality:
Vivian is a very attention-to-detail person and ponders all of the possible choices in a situation before making a choice. She avoids confrontation at all costs prefering to back away though if cornered, she will stand up for herself. Vivian can tend to take a lot of time in doing things as she likes things to be picture-perfect, a flaw espcially when the situation calls for immediate action. She is deathly afraid of Choclate Frogs sticking to her belief that they are alive despite everyone's constant persusasion though if you bring up Quidditch or anything to do with core subjects, she will perk up instantly.
Appearance:
Vivian has shockingly white hair, a gene she inherited from her French mother and her eyes are an extremely blue color. A fact that causes many people to pay attention to her and can often be seen wearing a dark cloak with a pearl necklace. On her right hand , she often wears a gold ring with the letter E embedded in it,a person reminder of the person who went through great lengths to get her. She will rarely be seen with her hair down preferring to wear it in a bun though when she dresses formally, she can be quite the dazzling person to look at.

Option I:
The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.
A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.
The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.
Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.
Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.
If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.
Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.
"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.
Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.
"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"
The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.
Option 2:
That rat of his was in for it now.
The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.
Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.
Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.
Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.
The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.
As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.
"You blasted rat! Where are you?"
He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.
Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.
Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."
→ ABOUT YOU.
Option 2: There was a roaring commotion among the grounds. Something about a large monster biting and scratching at anything and everything it saw. Naturally, one would be curious to see just exactly was going on so Vivian did just that. Dodging a group of girls who ran the other screaming something about a horrid creautre, she quickened her step raising her eyebrow. A monster? Surely, it couldn't be that serious could it. The sight that greeted her was a most enertaing one to say the least. "What are you..?" She was momentarily confused.
A boy had his head stuck into a bunch of red flowers and seemed to be not in the greatest of moods. Had he said something about a rat? A RAT? It dawned on her now or at least she thought it did. She glanced back the way the girls had ran and the converstions she had overheard on the way here. Biting, scratching, large angry fanged face, it made sense now. A rouge rat, huh and she was more than willing to bet it was this boy's pet though he made his introduction very clear.
His head popped up looking at her, runny nose and everything. "I couldn't help but notice your furry little problem."She said nodding to the group of roses and flowers where the criminal rodent was presumed to be hiding. "It doesn't look like the greenery is doing you any favors either so allow me to save you some embarassment."
It had been causing quite a ruckus to be fair though this 'monster' was far less fearsome than what she had been expecting. The rustling of the rodent and his terrifed squeaks as it detected movement was enough to give away it's location. "No promises it' won't come out unscathed."She added kneeling down her eyes scanning the bushes. Ok, this looked harder than it looked.
A shift in the flowers caused her eyes to snap. There!
Her hand shot out feeling around for the notorious rodent. That was enough to cause a few screams from passerbys as they made a quick escape. The flowers and leaves of the plants brushing across her hand did not help her in her attempted extraction of thie rodent. She sincerely hoped her hunch had been right. She did not want to be the one who got bit by a rat. Those things carried diseases as far as the eye could see but here she was..helping...again.
