Biography: (300 words minimum.) Kai Knightlock grew up with one passion: flying. From the moment he first kicked off the ground on a broomstick, the sky felt more like home than the ground ever did. At Hogwarts, he quickly earned a spot as a Chaser on his House team, known for his sharp reflexes and fearless flying. He was fast, confident, and a natural with a Quaffle in hand. His skill secured him a place on a professional Quidditch team after graduation, where he was on track for a long and successful career—until everything changed.
During a crucial match, Kai was in a mid-air race for the Quaffle when another player lost control due to turbulence or a failed maneuver. The impact was brutal, slamming into Kai at full speed. His shoulder took the full force of the collision, dislocating on impact. Though he managed to break his fall, the injury never fully healed, leaving him unable to handle the strain of professional play. His career was over.
For a while, Kai refused to accept it. He spent months in recovery, pushing through rehab, telling himself he’d be back on the pitch soon. But the truth was undeniable—his shoulder was too damaged, and the game had moved on without him. He considered coaching, but most teams weren’t looking for an injured ex-player with unfinished glory.
He drifted between jobs, always close to the sport but never quite back in it. Every match flyer, every roaring stadium, every glimpse of a broomstick in the air felt like a reminder of what he’d lost. Then he heard Richard Garrison was selling Speedy’s Flying School.
Though he and Richard had only been acquaintances, Kai saw the opportunity as a second chance—not to reclaim his past, but to build something new. He could still shape the future of Quidditch, passing on everything he’d learned to young flyers. With the school under his control, Kai could dedicate himself to turning the next generation into top-tier flyers. Roleplay: Option Two - The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.
And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again.
Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.
"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!"
This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was downhill.
"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.
"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.
Roleplay Response: Kai had just finished visiting the haunted remains of the school that he was about to acquire and was now at Diagon Alley to gather supplies to start restoring the place. He made his way carefully across the street swiftly and deftly, avoiding the hordes of people who were in his way. Kai almost moved with the grace of a swan his feet sliding in the snow. Years of playing quidditch had trained him for this.
The man winced at the thought of Quidditch and his hand reached across to his shoulder instinctively.
“…..arrrrrgh!”
Kai looked at the older man who was now covered in red and gold, Kai took a look at himself and realized that he was in the same state too. Kai tried to offered the man a hand as he stood up from the ground and apologized. “It’s okay,” Kai said softly, dusting his clothes, “the snow can be too much to handle sometimes.”
Kai held his hand in front of him offering a handshake, he hadn’t planned on being in a tinsel explosion today but if that meant he could possibly make a new friend that was okay. “I’m Kai, Kai Knightlock,” he smiled, “Do you need any help?”
Kai looked at all the tinsel around him, trying to lighten the mood he added, "You know I. might soon be in need of some decorations my self. I'm setting up a new business at Hogsmade," his smile widened, "May be you could come to the opening!"
