Biography:
Cassie's early childhood was normal enough.  Her earliest days were spent with a nanny, as her parents were often busy with other things.  As she aged, her time was spent in pursuits that benefitted a pureblooded lady of some status.  Classes such as  ballet lessons, etiquette lessons, and basic magic skills filled her days, and when her parents were available, tested.  Pushed daily to be the best that she could be, Cassie soon learned that failure was not an option and was grounds for punishment.  In most wizarding households, the arrival of a Hogwarts letter would've been met with happiness and celebration.  When Cassandra's letter arrived, it was acknowledged as a reminder that she would have to work hard and not embarrass the Williams name.

Shortly before she was to leave for Hogwarts, her mother pulled her aside for what she called an important conversation.  With sadistic glee, the woman Cassie had called mother for eleven years proceeded to let Cassie in on a family secret.  While her older brothers were the children of both parents, Cassie was the product of an affair.  In the interest of protecting the family name, Annette had had faked a pregnancy while keeping the young witch hidden in the family's manor.  After the pregnancy, the witch had been quietly disposed of, and Cassie raised has her own daughter.  While Jacob hadn't wanted to tell her, Annette had argued that Cassie needed to know. Not for Cassie's sake, but for her own hurt pride.  Annette reasoned that she had swallowed her own pride to raise Cassie as her own, at the very least Cassie should be aware of who she was.

Reeling from this information, several things clicked into place for Cassandra.  She now understood why her mother had seemed to care more for her brothers than her.  After confirming the tale with her father, she decided then and there that not only would she no longer call Annette mother, and she wouldn't give her the satisfaction of seeing her pain.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Personality:
Cassandra is at heart, someone who wants to get ahead and succeed no matter the circumstances. An overachiever and perfectionist, she dreams big and plans in great detail. Cassandra wants to work in Wizarding Law with the end goal of serving on the Wizengamot. Her desire to work in law doesn't come from any sort of altruistic motives, but rather a desire to have a lucrative career. Of course the status that comes with the position is an added bonus.

Status is something that Cassie values greatly. She feels that at the end of the day it's not how nice you are that gets you ahead, but what you've accomplished and who you know. Status is a way of getting ahead and opening doors that might have otherwise not been opened. Cassie has no problem using her father's influence and her blood purity to get what she wants. It's not that she can't be nice, Cassie just has a little patience for those she deems unworthy of her time.

One of Cassie's greatest strengths is her drive to succeed. She is one of those people who will work, sacrifice, and if need be throw other people under the bus to get ahead.  Detail oriented, she makes it a point to no the ins and outs of any situation she finds herself in.  Cassie is someone who likes to have a backup plan and an escape route planned for any venture she undertakes.

A part of her strength is also one of her weaknesses. Because she is so rational, she tends to miss out on the bigger picture. Cassandra can, and often does, focus so closely on the tasks at hand, that she forgets to take time for herself or others. It’s not that she doesn’t or can’t form emotional attachments, rather it’s that she sometimes forgets that she should.

Appearance:
Like her brothers and father, Cassandra has dark, naturally curly hair.  She often prefers to wear it down, but will pull it up if it's being unruly or if the weather is bad.  Fair skinned, she burns easily and uses creams to avoid looking burnt and peeling in the summer.  She tends to dress in classic, clean lines as befits a pureblooded lady. She prefers dark colors as opposed to bright ones, and isn't found in jeans, though slacks are occasionally ok.

Option I:

Blimey, the Great Hall was packed. It seemed like everywhere a guy looked there was some clown waving around a House banner or yelling about the game.

'Can you believe it?' 'No way!' 'This must be the biggest upset in Hogwarts Quidditch history...'

Stupid Quidditch.

James flopped into an empty seat at the end of the table, shoved an empty plate out of the way, and let his head sink onto his crossed arms, squishing his freckled nose down flat against the tabletop. He wasn't sure why he'd even bothered to come here, since he definitely wasn't hungry. He'd probably never eat again, in fact. He didn'tdeserve to eat. He hadn't stopped in the locker room to change out of his muddy, sweaty uniform after the game either, because he was pretty sure he probably didn't deserve to be clean too; and anyway he couldn't stand to see the looks on his team mates' faces after he blew their chance at winning one of the biggest games they had ever played.

Just one lousy shot. That's all it would have taken. If he could have just got that one stupid foul shot to go through that one stupid hoop, they could have won and he wouldn't have been the biggest blockhead in the entire school.

As if to prove the point, half the people at the next table suddenly broke into a loud victory chant. James pressed his face further into his arms to hide the bright red blotches he could feel creeping up his cheeks. That was it. He was just going to have to run away and move to Nova Scotia. He'd just cost the three-year-in-a-row Champions the Quidditch Cup! How do you ever live that one down for crying out loud? He was only a second year and he was going to spend the rest of his life as 'that dumb cry-baby kid who dropped the Quaffle!'

It felt like every set of eyes in the room was boring into him, and James couldn't stand it anymore. He jerked himself back up from the table and stomped right back out of the Hall the same way he had come in. As he stormed into the quieter hallway outside, he could hear footsteps somewhere behind him. James rounded on the sound and began to shout, his brown eyes shining with tears. "WHAT! Haven't you ever seen a loser before? Why don't you just take a picture!"

Cassandra quickly made her way towards the Great Hall.  Like the rest of the school she had spent the afternoon watching the quidditch match.  She of course wouldn't think of playing, but she did enjoy watching and cheering on her House.  Cassie was lost in thought as she maneuvered her way around clusters of students, before making the final turn that would lead her into the hall. Raising an eyebrow at the boy's outburst, she couldn't help but let out a huff of annoyance before responding.  "Of course I have, I did watch the match after all."  Normally Cassandra wouldn't have bothered responding, but the boy really was being silly.  Yes he made a mistake that cost his team the match.  Instead of whining about it, he should've been working out ways to keep it from happening again.  Why wasn't he out on the pitch practicing for Merlin's sake? Glancing back up at him she added "Really, whining about it and shouting at unsuspecting people in hallways isn't the way to go about it.". With that last bit of advice, Cassie stepped around him, and continued on her way, not waiting for a response.
