Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Marie Jones was born on February 2, 1940 in Boston. Her mother being a muggle, and her dad being a wizard, she was a bit different than the other children. At the age of 7, her family moved to London, England. She was always wanting to play healer with her father, as she had no other siblings.

At the age of 11, her Hogwarts letter arrived. She was nervous to go to Hogwarts because she didn't really know anyone else her age. She was sorted into Slytherin at the Welcome Feast her first year. She was unsure why, but as time went on she realized it was because she wanted to be a Healer and wouldn't stop until she became one. At Hogwarts, she took the extracurricular to work in the Hospital Wing. She loved the experience so much, she did it throughout all seven years of her education at Hogwarts.

She wanted to work in the Maternity Ward, Orphan Ward, or Magical Psychology. As she went on at Hogwarts, she was always top of her class receiving all O's. She almost graduated top of her class, but was topped by two other students.

She decided to take a gap year to get herself settled in Wizarding London. She started looking for Magical Medical Schools, but was having trouble forming a list of them. She was very excited to become a Healer, but was still deciding what route she wanted to go. Her mother is a Healer in the Muggle world, so Marie looked to her mother for inspiration. Her father works in the Department of Mysteries for the Ministry. She was unsure if she had wanted to move closer to her parents, but she could also Apparate.

She was quite worried about Magical Medical School, thinking that she wouldn't be good enough to become a healer. She wanted to take an internship at St. Mungos, but didn't know where to apply.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:
Marie was walking through Diagon Alley to get a pet owl from Meg's Owls. As she was getting closer to the store, she heard a voice call out that their heel was broken. Wanting to help she made her way towards the voice.

As she was walking, she saw a redhead girl on the ground with a broken heel. She got closer to the ground and picked up the heel. "I heard you yell from down the street, so I thought I would help you out."

Marie got her wand out of the bag she was carrying. She placed the heel next to where it had broken off. She knew that she could use the Mending Charm. "Reparo." She said while pointing her wand at the shoe. She saw that the shoe was now fixed. "Do you need anymore help?" She asked the redhead nicely.

Hi Marie!

Your application is coming along nicely! However, there's one small detail in your rp sample that will need to be changed. You state that Marie fixes Amelia Nixon's broken shoe. Fixing, breaking, or otherwise altering an object belonging to another character is considered a mild form of powerplaying. Since Amelia is not a real character, and you can't ask their permission for the reparo spell to be successful, you could instead frame the action as an attempt (ex: "Reparo." She said while pointing her wand at the shoe, hoping to see it fixed.) This would give Amelia the opportunity to decide whether or not her shoe was fixed, or if she would prefer it remained broken.

Also, you've only used up 28 of your allotted 32 magical adult levels. You are free to add in the extra 4 if you wish, though this is entirely up to you.

Once you've made the required change, please post your entire revised application below and we'll be happy to give it another look.

Thanks!

Hi Marie, thanks for making those edits, your RP sample looks good now.

Just a couple of things we’ll need you to edit before we can get you accepted:

Under the ‘Age’ section, you state that Marie is 17 and that her birthday is in February 1943. If this is the case, then she is still a student at Hogwarts for this term and cannot be a Healer until the 1961-62 term begins in January 2020.

For her to have graduated Hogwarts in 1959-60 (last term), she would now be 18 years old, which means her birthday would have been in February 1942. If she’s already taken a year out after graduation, then she would now be 19 years old and her birthday would have been in February 1941. In your actual biography, you note that her birthday was February 1940, which would currently make her 20 years old.

Could you edit the ‘Age’ section and the first line of your biography to ensure that the two birthdays match up, and could you also ensure that you select the right birth year for her age. You will need to edit her age from 17 if you want her to have graduated already.

You also still have 2 levels remaining to use up, should you want to (you have used a total of 30 levels, but can use up to 32). However, you don’t need to use these last 2 levels if you would rather stick to 30 levels in total.

Once you’ve made the required changes, please repost your entire revised application below, and we’ll be more than happy to take another look. Thanks!

      Hi Marie,

      Thanks for fixing the age!

Your biography still states that her birthday was in 1940 -- to ensure that your biography is consistent with your age section, please could you edit this to correct the birth year to 1942?

Once you've made the required change, please repost your entire revised application below, and we can get you accepted. Thanks!

"Reparo." She said while pointing her wand at the shoe hoping that it would be fixed. She hadn't used the Repairing Charm since she had graduated from Hogwarts

      Hi Marie,

      Thanks for making those changes.

It looks like you've dropped down from your previous total of 32 levels to 31 levels again. Was this a typo, or do you want to stick with 31 levels? I can add the missing level back to your Divination (or to any other category) if you prefer.

If you can comment below confirming your final level distribution (no need to repost the whole application), we can get you accepted. We can't retrospectively add levels that were not claimed in the initial application, so it's important that we get this right before accepting you. Thank you for your patience so far.
