Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Lorenzo Tommaso Romano

Birthday: 20 September 1952

Hometown: Blackpool, England

Bloodline: Muggleborn

Magical Strength (pick one): Transfiguration

Magical Weakness (pick one): Conjuring & Summoning

Year: 5th, 4th

Biography:

Lorenzo Tommaso Romano was born to muggle parents in the fall of 1952.

Unfortunately for the couple’s fourth and final boy, he would not know his parents. Marilyn and Francesco were both killed in a tragic car accident on their way home from the hospital. Their mother was nearly killed during the last home birth and so the family decided to go to a hospital. (Later in life, Enzo chalked it to fate and destiny, that it was her time to go.)

Valentino, Leonardo, Gabriele, and Lorenzo were all born a year apart from each other. Oddly enough, all four boys were blessed with magical abilities. It was hard for them to understand, without the guidance of their parents, but their mother’s sister did what she could. Marigold Conwell was barely an adult when the boys were thrust upon her but the woman did as much as she could in terms of money and patience. She loved them as brothers, despite the actual relation.

Once the boys started shipping off to Hogwarts each year, the house felt more and more empty so she began to date, hunting for single wizards whenever they did the back to school shopping. It was gross to watch but it meant that Enzo could wander off on his own. Exploring London was one of the few things he looked forward to during summer. The hustle and bustle of the busy streets fueled his energy, the sparkle in his eye apparent.

Enzo enjoyed Hogwarts - mainly the girls. Had a couple mates, but kept his circle small. Didn’t want to be popular or fit in, so to speak. He just wanted to have a good time and get through the school year so summer could come around again. He enjoyed spending most afternoons out on the grounds, lost in the gardens or sneaking a snog behind the greenhouse.

Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: Hufflepuff, Gryffindor

Personality:
Enzo is one, if not the, of the biggest flirts in the castle. He enjoys making others blush or squirm in his presence. Typically, a very happy go-lucky teen, it's very rare to see the teen without a smile on his face. Always goofing off and have a good time, he strives to make everyone laugh. Once he's upset, he will shut down and close himself away until his mindset returns to what he calls normal.

Appearance:
Standing at almost six foot (definitely six foot), the teen usually has a nice even tan, something he was a little too proud of. A head full of dark hair curls he loved to let friends play with. Vibrant, curious grey eyes shifted to blue or green from time to time, depending on the situation or whatever strong feeling engulfed his mind. He does care about his appearance, but likes to be comfortable and look casual, always opting to get away with his tie or robes as often as he can.

Option 2:

That rat of his was in for it now.

The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.

Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.

Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.

Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.

The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.

As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.

Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.

Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

Roleplay Response:
Lorenzo was supposed to meet Cherry behind the greenhouse to swap some sweets. Despite his thirst for adventure, he hadn't been able to shake the cold last Hogsmeade weekend and didn't go with his mats. Instead, he laid up in bed and became best friends with tissues and sleep. It was much to his friend's dismay, as they weren't able to tear through the village with Sola, causing havoc with their shenanigans.

And so the pair had planned to meet up after breakfast for the swap in one of their favorite places. The sun was shining, and there was a cool breeze. It was a perfect day to be outside and he wanted to take full advantage of it.

As Enzo made his way towards the destination, the heavy scent of florals filled his senses, bringing a smile to tug at the corners of his mouth. He walked slowly, basking in the sun, looking at all of the students thinking the same thing. A ruckus grabbed his attention and he looked to see another student really going a struggle. He stopped for a moment, watching the chaos unfold and then a tint of pink lit up his cheeks at being caught.

"S-sorry. Do you need help with something?"

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
Another day alone in the park while his aunt smooched all over another wizard, trying to find a place in a world where she so obviously did not belong. However, that did mean there was no supervision to be had.

And Enzo was not going to complain about that bit.

The boy laid in the grass, book in hand, eyes stuck to the page. The sun was a nice change and it felt good against exposed skin. It warmed him as he took in each word, fantasies swirling around in the clouds. A pleasant smile settled in, something fairly unsure for the budding teenager.

But that quickly changed with fits of yelling echoed and a sharp tongued girl could be heard. Lifting his head slightly, he thought for a moment that she was talking to him but just to be sure, he turned slightly to see if anyone was behind him.

“Me?” he asked with a grimace.
