Biography:
Tiernan is a fun-loving 11-year-old from the green and pretty town of Blarney, Ireland. He’s the youngest of three kids, and the only one with bright red hair. He also the only one with magical abilities. His sisters are nice, but they don’t get his love of stories and make-believe.

Tiernan loves reading books about faraway lands and make-believe magic. He’s always dreaming up new adventures. He’s not the best at school, but he’s really good at thinking outside the box.

Another thing Tiernan’s really good at is imagining things. He can look at anything and see it as something else. Like, he’ll look at a cloud and see a dragon, or a rock and see a puppy. People think it’s weird, but Tiernan knows there’s something special about it. He’s excited to go to school with kids like him and learn to really change things, not just in his head.

Tiernan’s got a lot of energy and loves to laugh. He can be a bit of a prankster, but he’s also really loyal to his friends. He’s not scared to try new things, and he’s always looking for a good adventure.

Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

House Request: any really, I love a surprise

Personality:
Likes - Adventure (exploring new places, trying new things), Reading (fantasy, adventure, and anything about magic), Pranks (playing harmless jokes on people), Animals (especially mischievous ones like cats or squirrels), Food (comfort food like potatoes and bacon), Magic (obviously! especially Transfiguration)

Dislikes - Boredom (hates being stuck indoors or doing nothing), Rules (often finds them unnecessary and restrictive), Bullies (stands up for himself and others), Schoolwork (prefers practical learning to theory), Early Mornings (who doesn’t?)

Tiernan on a good day is a whirlwind of energy. He's full of laughter, quick with a joke, and always ready for an adventure. You'll find him bouncing around, full of ideas, and eager to try anything new. His mind is racing with imaginative stories and his eyes sparkle with excitement. He's the life of the party, always ready to make others laugh.

When Tiernan's having a bad day, it's like a storm cloud has settled over him. He's quieter, more withdrawn, and his usually bright eyes might be a little dull. He might be short-tempered or easily frustrated. While he'll still try to hide it, his mischievous streak might take a darker turn as he looks for ways to vent his frustration.

Tiernan's best trait is his boundless imagination. It's what fuels his love of reading, his talent for Transfiguration, and his overall zest for life.

Appearance:
Tiernan is a freckle-faced, red-headed kid with a mischievous glint in his eyes. His hair isoften standing on end as if it's got a mind of its own. He's got a slim build and is always on the move, so he's rarely still. His clothes are usually a bit rumpled, as if he's been in a hurry to get dressed.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
You come across one of these posts on the site. Please select one & reply as your character. Remember, you can only roleplay your own character's actions, not Evangeline's or Hugh's.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

Roleplay Response:
A sudden call beckoning someone named Emma Birch echoed through the damp corridor. Tiernan, a spiky-haired redhead, burst into view around a corner. His eyes were wide with a mix of fear and excitement. "What's going on down here?" he demanded, his voice trembling slightly. A mischievous glint flickered in his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by a look of concern as he took in Evangeline's frightened appearance.

He swallowed hard, his gaze darting around the gloomy corridor. "You shouldn't be down here alone," he added, his voice softening. "It's creepy. Really creepy." His voice cracked a little, revealing his own fear. He glanced nervously around the dark corridor, his eyes darting from shadow to shadow. "I heard a noise too. Maybe it was just a rat or something. Or a ghost," he added with a nervous laugh, trying to lighten the mood. "I don't believe in ghosts, though. Do you?"

Tiernan took a step closer, his hand hovering near his wand, but he hesitated to draw it. It’s not like he knew any spells to cast yet anyways. "We should probably stick together. It's safer that way," he suggested, his voice barely above a whisper. He glanced over his shoulder, as if expecting something to pounce. "I'm Tiernan, by the way," he introduced himself, his voice a little higher than usual.
