Biography: (300 words minimum.)

An eventful life often starts uneventfully. Megan was born in Switzerland to German parents. They had managed to leave before the events of the war and all that ensued. Her family spoke French and German.

Megan looked and acted rather ordinary. Expect for her intense brown eyes.

The fact that she was magical was just assumed. But they still sighed in relief when she accidently magically burned her green pees. Her least favourite meal.

As she grew, her brown eyes mirrored Megan's intensity. Which was only rivaled by her fascination with policis (she was a vicious campaigner for fifth grade president) and her sharp tongue.

Once she was eleven, her parents sent her to Durmstrang. There she thrived. She fell in love with Divination. And with Potions. The subject was beautifully precise. Everything was cause and effect. It just made total sense.

Then she took a Wandlore class. The subject really captured her imagination. And she knew what she wanted to do in her life.

She graduated with very middle grades, and really no leadership experience. She she spent all her time reading about wands and in the potions area.

Then, her dream came true. She had been accepted into a training program in Copenhagen with a premier wandmaker.

She discovered that wand making was a rather poor way of making money. After all, there was a huge flurry every summer. But the rest of the year was spend preparing and acquiring materials.

Which gave her an idea. Why not use her Potions skills to make some money on the side? It involved a lot of similar ingredients. And required similar unrivaled precision.

Plus, she could work for anyone, since she could easily use her status as a wand maker to get her hands on things.

That worked for her training period.

Then her mentor discovered that she was managing a rather seedy potions business on the side. Using her status as a upstanding wand-maker as a cover.

And he basically threw her out his business (which was a big blow, as she had just finished extensive training with him and was about to begin a partnership), telling her that he would not be associated with her dealings. Honestly it was a miracle that he didn't call law enforcement.

But the fact that she had been fired by her mentor ruined her reputation.

That was when she saw an advertisement for an abandoned shop in this place called Diagonally, or at least that was what she thought it was called. Apparently it was a popular place.

She knew that it would be a good place to begin again.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:

Megan, in her confident strides down the alley in her all blue attire. As if there wasn't a problem in the world. But inside, she knew that this was the most important day of her potion making side hussle.

Megan then heard the kerfuffle. Undignified, she couldn't help but think. With an accompanying eyeroll.

But since she wanted this scene to be over, she went over. She extended her hand in assistance to the woman.

Megan knew that she had a deal that needed to be done. There was somebody coming that had very valuable potion ingredients. And she wanted those, badly. She knew that the person would be scared off if this pesky reporter stayed any longer.

Megan restrained her normally sharp tongue and smiled at the woman. "You know, there is a big press announcement at the other end of the alley. About a high ranking official being on the new galleon coin."

There wasn't a conference. But she was a follower of politics, so she did choose something that could pique the interest of any worthy reporter.

She then attempted to cast a "Reparo" on the woman's heel.
