Biography: (300 words minimum.)
At a young age his parents knew he was destined for trouble. It's why they sent him off to France to live with his uncle. Although he never really got straightened out. He spent his school years at Beauxbatons, not at Hogwarts like the rest of his siblings.

At school he was constantly in detentions and didn't really abide by the rules. Hell even as an adult he never abided by the law. If it wasn't for his family paying off the headmistress he would have been expelled on multiple occasions. They for sure didn't want him at Hogwarts, messing up their family's name.

After school he moved to London where he got into the illegal potion trade. He excelled in potions during school so why not make money off of it?

At the age of twenty he was arrested for selling illegal potions. During his time in Azkaban he made several friends with the wrong type of people. Murderers. Thieves. And everyone in between became his allies. A smooth talker with big plans for when he got out of the wretched prison. He said he wanted to get out and follow in his father's foot steps. He  said he had learned his lesson.

He didn't though. He lied through his teeth as if he were telling the truth. When he finally did get out he started back into his old habits.

With an influx of new customers business has been booming since he returned to civilization a year ago.

Although he's never been quite the same.. Even though he didn't smile much back then he definitely doesn't smile anymore (unless he's doing something bad). He prefers night to day and generally happy people nauseate him. The only person's smile he actually enjoys is his niece, Vesper.

He lives in a small flat in London now with a roommate. They get kicked out and move around a lot. Staying in one place too long isn't his thing. With both places and girls.

Roleplay:
You come across one of these posts on the site. Please select one & reply as your character:

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:
Bastien's eyes scanned the crowd as the shuffled through Diagon Alley. People watching was his favorite hobby. One could tell a lot about a person by the way they dressed. Even more by the way a person acted.

One person in particular caught his eye as he sat. A reporter for the prophet who definitely couldn't demand attention. One that was particularly needy. It was entertaining in the least, but that's not why he was there.

He needed information and she was the perfect target. Reporters knew information. Even if they weren't particularly good ones. They knew dates and events most people couldn't even fathom knowing. Purebloods loved a good press release.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!”

This was his chance. Throwing his cigarette down on the ground he stamped it out with his foot before jogging on over with a smile on his face. Anybody that knew him knew that his smile never meant anything good.

"Let me get that for you!" He said as he grabbed the shoe and tried to get underneath her shoulder to hold her up so she could hop on one foot to the table where he had been sitting.
