Biography:
“Mother you cannot be serious!” Persephone cried, dropping the journal onto her bed before turning to the cruel woman at the door. She glanced to her twin, a look that demanded for the support she knew was going to get—the look of Andromeda’s face screamed an equal outrage.
They were both doing just fine with home-schooling, and frankly she saw no need for change. All they needed was the other, and perhaps the occasional puppet to do their dirty work, to strive.
Clutching the pillow on her lap tightly, she huffed through gritted teeth, determined not to give her mother the pleasure of seeing her composure crack—that would be another victory for her. Instead, her expression morphed into such misery that would surely evoke some pity from her mother.
“But Mother,” she said, “There are muggleborns there!”
And there it was. The most sound argument she could provide.
“Are you scared?”
Persephone turned to the boy beside her, a smile edging onto a smirk on her lips. “Of course not,” she responded without hesitation, “Why, are you?” Her eyes dared, dared him push past the fear so clearly painted on his face (not that he knew, he was too busy trying to keep up that bravado of his). People were all the same; cowards lingering on uncertainties. She was better than them—not entirely foolhardy, of course, limits existed and she was aware of them—Persephone wasn’t chained back as those mouse-like beings were.
She would be great. Her and Andromeda were both destined for it.
The boy shook his head, an unconvincing action, “But you don’t know—”
“That’s the point!” She cut in, unable to hold back her irritation. Finally losing patience, she grabbed the boy’s hand, ignoring his yelp of pain, and dragged him forward. Andromeda, she thought to herself, would have been a much better companion for exploring. She was one of the only people who got it.
“Say that again.”
Persephone smiled sweetly at the girl who sat opposite her, resting her chin on the palm of her hand. The upturn of her lips was genial, pleasant, but there was a slight narrow to her eyes that screamed warning to the fool that dare cross her. Her friend stayed quiet, holding her gaze evenly.
They didn’t like each other. Not at all. Alas, blood was blood, and if her parents urged her to befriend this child unworthy of her purity then so be it.
But an insult to Andromeda was not something she would let pass—it was equally an insult to her. Grasping her twin's hand, her gaze was still trained in front of her. After some silence, she spoke up once more, harsher this time.
“What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue?”
Persephone lay supine on the sheets, eyes on her sister as she recounted the events of her day. Andromeda was starving for power; her ambition knew no bounds. There wasn't ever a day when she put her mission to quest so hearing about whatever step she'd made towards world domination that day was always interesting.
“I have a new friend,” she said, rolling onto her stomach before reaching out for her mug which rested on the floor. “Use her how you want.” Fingers wrapping around ceramic, Persephone lifted the drink to her lips and took a slow sip.
Friend. The word had lost all meaning to her. She could call anyone a friend, but that didn't mean she valued them in any way. Each familiar was another tool on her belt—things she could use to her advantage, but nothing worth her tears should she lose them. Andromeda and her shared everything (at least, that's what she expected), and she wasn't opposed to her sister utilising her friendships for her own good, so long as she could do the same.
“Want some?” She asked, offering the mug.

Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.
House Request: Gryffindor
Personality: A risk-taker who thinks before she acts, Persephone loves the satisfaction of making others believe she can defy the odds that had always been in her favour in the first place. She can act as sweet as any other wide-eyed child, and is willing to do so if it works out to her advantage. Friends, save a very select few, are viewed as pawns; means of getting her way, and she feels no remorse over this mentality. Above all, comes Andromeda—Persephone would never go against her twin, and expects the same from her. She has a fiery passion and will refuse to back down for anyone. Still, she is willing to branch away from her own standards in the name of ‘alliances’.
Appearance:
→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
It wasn’t uncommon to find Persephone frequenting the dungeons, though it was to find her walking around alone. Andromeda had gone off to make an advancement with her quest for power—more like find another unfortunate soul to wrap around her finger.
Her footsteps slowed, as she idly wondered who she’d be hearing about tonight. A charming Slytherin boy, perhaps, or a petty Hufflepuff girl. They were all pawns in her sister’s game of mastery.
"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"
“No,” she stated simply, clasping her hands behind her back, “At least she wasn’t, the last time I checked.”
Stupid.
A girl of red stood before her. Dark eyes coldly examined the way she cowered and flinched at every passing sound. She was one of them: the students unworthy of their ties, anomalies of the Sorting Hat. Such creatures drew out her curiosity and Persephone wondered many a time of how exactly, they were ever supposed to fit in.
Silence was boring, she decided suddenly, and held out a hand.
“Still, it’s always worth double checking. Care to join me?”
This girl wasn’t the most desirable of company, but Persephone was nothing if not adaptable.
