Strength and weaknesses (details please):
By far Timothy's greatest strength is his desire to understand the things and people around him. This has given him an exceptional ability to retain information and put it into practice just as much as it has created a profound sense of empathy within him. He is a problem solver and uses everything he's learned to his advantage when he's confronted with various scenarios in life. He rarely finds himself facing something that he can't think his way out of and when he does, he still assesses his situation to create some sort of course of action be it successful or unsuccessful. His empathy stems from this desire to understand. He takes time to get to know people and how they think and act. He is able to recognize someone's happiness, sadness, or anger and able to adapt to those moods so he's not contributing to making anyone other than happy.

His primary weakness stems from this desire to understand as well. Timothy is incredibly outgoing and not afraid to ask as many questions as he can think of until his curiosity has been calmed. This can get on some people's nerves and indeed some are uncomfortable with Timothy's questioning, despite it coming from a good place. He knows and understands personal boundaries absolutely, but he doesn't always know where the best stopping point is for inquisitions.

Beyond his primary strength, Timothy also is strong in leadership although he won't always volunteer to be the leader. He learned how to properly lead from observing his parents and grandparents leading groups in their lives be it their job or leading a household. Timothy enjoys being a leader, but as mentioned he won't always volunteer to be depending on the situation. However when he recognizes he needs to be the person in charge, such as he would in a classroom situation, he has no problems filling that role.

A secondary weakness, present but not as noticeable as his primary weakness, is that he's antsy. Timothy can't sit still for long and prefers to be standing when he can to allow himself freedom to move around a room when he speaks. This can sometimes be an annoyance to some as he seems almost as if he never runs out of energy.

Physical description:
Timothy was raised to take pride in his appearance, but not to be vain. As such, Timothy keeps himself well kept but doesn't draw signifiant attention to himself. He wears his black hair a tad on the longer side, but never any longer than just above his ear. A curl is known to slink down and hang over his face and he can often be spotted tucking it back into place when it becomes a nuisance.

He is caucasian, but he generally stays somewhat tanned due to the amount of time he spends outside. He is well built, but not exactly muscular. Most of the muscle he does actually carry stems not from exercise, but from helping lift things around the house for his mother or working in his garden at his home. Timothy shares his mother's green eyes and prides himself on them as many members of his family on her side proudly display green eyes.

By far the most striking thing about Timothy is his height. Standing at just above 6'2", he is instantly recognizable in a crowd. He gets his height from his father's side where almost all of the men stand above the six foot mark. The lack of bulk on Timothy and his more slender frame make him appear even taller than he actually is. His height is all in the leg, his mother often joking that he'd only stand a foot tall without them.

Timothy for the most part refrains from dressing particularly flashy. In the summers, he can be seen in simple black shoes with black socks and black ankle length pants with a white shirt with rolled up sleeves tucked into them. In the winter time, he keeps the shoes and pants but replaces the white shirt with a long sleeve sweater of either blue or red. When he dresses up for a special occasion, he relies on his favorite dress robes of a gorgeous deep blue.

Personality (nice, rude, funny etc. Paragraph please.):
Timothy is by far one of the kindest and most outgoing people that you'll ever meet. From a very young age, he was talkative and wanted to be friends with anyone that he came across. He believes kindness is the key to life's great mysteries and tries to show it even when it isn't shown to him. He has a quick sense of humor and appreciates a good laugh. He is quick on his feet with his own humor and can more than hold his own in that department. Timothy is also gentle, believing strongly that anger and a quick temper leads to more harm than good. He chooses to approach serious situations with a brighter outlook, looking for the positives instead of focusing on the negatives.

When he has to administer any sort of discipline, like he often had to with his younger cousins, he would much rather try to understand the person rather than coming at it with anger and a refusal to listen to someone's side of the story. When he needs to be, he can be firm and leave no doubts as to who is in charge of a situation, but he gives everyone a chance to not have to see his more firm side and only brings it out when it is absolutely necessary.

Hopes and dreams. Why are you teaching at Hogwarts?:
Timothy hopes above all else to leave the world behind a little better for him having been there. He believes that the world is changed by the so called "small ones" in the world and that you don't have to hold a position of significant wealth or power to make a difference. Timothy chooses to make a difference by sharing his fondness for learning and understanding with the world. This desire to share knowledge and inspire understanding of the world around us all is what has led him to Hogwarts. He spent his years at the school seeing and feeling the impact that his professors had on him and his surroundings and wanted to do the same with his life. He also recognizes that students learn best when the professor is passionate for what they're teaching and Timothy puts passion in everything that he does.

Timothy has a lot to share with the students of Hogwarts be it the subjects of his lessons or just the lessons of life in general. When he was in school, he longed for a professor that he could connect with as peer as well as a mentor and Timothy believes he can offer that to the students as well. He doesn't want to give off an air of superiority as he knows that can make the classroom experience awkward. Instead, he wants the students to feel mutual respect and feel as though they're recognized for their own ability. To Timothy, that makes learning more likely and makes the classroom experience more positive, something that he believes could really be useful at Hogwarts.

He dreams of growing old doing something that he loves and there's little he loves more than learning. As a professor, you're not only sharing information, but getting new information shared with you all the time. To Timothy, that sounds like heaven on earth and something that he could lovingly spend his days doing.

Biography (500 words minimum. There is never such a thing as too much.):
True to the spontaneity that ran rampant within his family, George Winchester proposed to his girlfriend Dorothy out of the blue at dinner one evening. True to the romantic nature that ran rampant within her family, she lovingly accepted and the two were married before the Christmas holidays came knocking in 1936. Though they were both comfortably in their prime (George was all of 24 and Dorothy was all of 22), the two immediately began to dream of a full house of children of their own. Dorothy was particularly fond of the idea having spent her younger days caring for her younger siblings. George had dreamed of having a boy to call his own from a young age as well, having grown up loving to hear stories of his father's youth, something he longed to pass down to a child of his own.

The couple was elated to discover their dreams of a family were going to come true when Dorothy proudly announced she was pregnant in May of 1937. Though their excitement never dwindled, pregnancy was far from easy on Dorothy. Her small stature made carrying the child something of a chore as the weeks ticked by and the illnesses that are commonly associated with pregnancy plagued her, untouched by the magical efforts of her mother and George's mother to ease the symptoms. But no matter the pain she felt, she never let a smile leave her face. The patience of both George and Dorothy were paid off on January 9, 1938, when their healthy and happy child Timothy was born.

George and Dorothy were elated to finally have a child of their own and the love they had for him consoled them through the advice of the healers at St. Mungo's that Dorothy refrain from having another child or risk her health. Though they had wanted a great many little ones running around, Timothy kept them busy. A very curious child, in the time before he could speak, Timothy would work to become acquainted with his surroundings via touch and observation. When he could speak, his favorite words were "why" and "how". Always longing to know why things were as they were, why things happened, where things came from, what things did, Timothy seemed to be constantly at his mother or father's ankles to learn more about his world. And though the questions were constant, both George and Dorothy were happy to oblige and answer as many questions as Timothy could throw at them.

As he grew, Timothy developed a particularly close relationship with his father. George delighted in telling Timothy stories of his days growing up not too far from where they currently lived, as well as the stories told to him by his father. That's not to say that Timothy wasn't also close to his mother, as he very much was. Dorothy taught Timothy how to cook all manner of things and, much to the joy of them both, how to dance like nobody was watching. Timothy loved his days at home with his parents in Alfriston, so much so that he didn't take much notice that their home was small or that he didn't often get new clothes. In fact, he was almost completely unaware that his family wasn't wealthy until his school days arrived.

Timothy received his Hogwarts letter promptly and he found himself looking forward to his time at school. He had all of the things he needed, not noticing the looks of nervousness on his mother's face any time a new supply was rung up. When he was at school, he noticed that his things were not the nicest nor the newest, but he didn't mind. For a mind that was obsessed with knowing "why" and "how", Hogwarts was a paradise. It seemed that every minute of every day was spent learning something new and exciting. In the summers, he'd return to his wonderful life in Alfriston. George and Dorothy would ask if he was making friends, and Timothy would happily respond with an emphatic yes. They would ask if he was ever teased for his lower quality supplies and he honestly said he didn't notice.

Those sorts of things weren't particularly important to Timothy. Through his skills of observation, Timothy recognized that his parents wanted to make a life for themselves, be self sufficient. He knew that his paternal and maternal grandparents were well off finically, one look at their homes could indicate that, but George and Dorothy didn't want to be handed anything in life and as he grew up, Timothy didn't either. He wanted everything he owned to be something he earned and that never disappeared.

In school, Timothy excelled in all of his classes but he was particularly talented in Transfiguration and his favorite class, History of Magic. Around his fifth year, Timothy became incredibly interested in magical law and spent his free time reading up on the subject and the various laws and decrees that existed in the world. Timothy graduated with his class in 1956 and happily returned home to Alfriston to take some time off before pursuing his dreams.

Timothy has a desire to do all manner of things be it become a historian, work at the Ministry for Magic, secure a job in the legal system, or take up teaching at Hogwarts. At the moment, he's not done much but get his own home in Alfriston not too far from his family, however he believes his future comes more and more into focus every day and he's more than ready to take the big steps needed to start the rest of his life.

SAMPLE ROLEPLAY

It was the largest office in Hogwarts and, perhaps to students and newcomers, the most intimidating. The shelves were filled with various odds and ends, with a place of honor for the Sorting Hat, and the walls held all the portraits of past Headmasters and Headmistresses.

In the middle of the room sat a large desk. Everything was in order, for the current occupant had always despised a messy desk. It was the sign of a messy mind, and she had always favored neatness.

A clock sat on the desk, which currently showed the time to be 2:05. The meeting was supposed to begin at 2:00 precisely.

Along with order, Anneka valued punctuality. She was a very busy woman these days. Even during the summer, she had a number of matters to attend to. Interviewing and hiring staff was only of those matters. The newest potential member of her staff wasn't making a good impression.

She paced the room, black heels clicking against the stone floor. When the door finally opened, Anneka turned, her expression reminiscent of a Russian winter. "You are late."

Explain yourself was what her face said.

Roleplay Response:
Timothy felt in the pit of his stomach that he was quickly wasting the good will that came along with the acceptance for a meeting with Hogwarts' headmistress. He was late, not something characteristic of the young wizard, but it seemed that the world wanted to keep him from meeting the most important appointment of his life. He decided the moment he walked through the gorgeous entrance hall of the school that he'd spent seven wonderful years learning in that he wouldn't make a single excuse and be nothing but honest with his hopefully soon to be boss.

Timothy walked swiftly down the corridors of the great castle, messing with his hair and straightening his robes as he did so. He knew the way to the headmistress' office by heart and allowed his feet to do all the thinking. This left his brain free to work through several different hypothetical interview questions. Timothy had spent the last week working through dozens of questions to be absolutely prepared for the interview. Of course, he knew that nothing could really replicate the experience, but there was no harm in trying.

He arrived to the entrance of the great office, passed for a moment to collect himself, and strode confidently into the room. Miss Ivanova wasted no time in acknowledging Timothy's lateness. And Timothy wasted no time explaining himself. "Indeed I am, ma'am and I'd like to apologize. I left my house promptly and with plenty of time this morning but down every road there seemed to be a slow moving crowd or something to slow me down. I'd spent so much time making sure I was prepared for the interview that something as simple as a portkey or a simple floo trip slipped my mind until it was too late to make either of those a possibility. It's not at all like me, I can assure you that. My sincerest of apologies, headmistress."

Timothy flashed a smile to hopefully cut some of the tension, although he wasn't so sure it was successful. Timothy waited patiently at the door for Headmistress Ivanova to invite him to sit in the vacant seat across from her desk. If his mother had taught him anything it was to always await permission to make use of another's things, never just assume it's free for you to make use of. As he awaited the invitation, he tried to control his fidgeting which became increasingly more difficult the longer he stood to stew in his nerves.
