Biography:
Jayden comes from Chinatown, London where he lived with his lovely parents and older sister. For a while, the kid was still rather cheerful and all smiles, being treated well by his family.. until that age came where his grandparents started to put a lot of pressure on the boy.

"You must get top grades, you must keep excelling in sports, show them what you've got!" was what they kept telling; they wanted Jayden to be the best. He was their only male grandchild and there still was a lot of pressure on him. That was what gave the start for the young boy to begin changing. Less smiles, more frowning, not so much joy anymore.

It also didn't help that Jayden felt as if his dad preferred his sister more. One of the reasons why the boy was much closer to his mother. But oh, what could he do?

Eventually the kid with the big smile turned into a serious boy, not showing that smile of his so often anymore. It's not that he was very pessimistic, sad or angry, just serious. He started to like studying and it stopped being a thing to complain or worry about.

At around age 10, when he felt like things started to become more stable, his father died. It was sudden and shocking, an event that really threw Jayden out of his tracks. It was something that made the boy rather bitter and sullen. He knew he'd have to get over it eventually, but he was having it hard for awhile.

Perhaps going to Hogwarts will help him lighten up again.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Personality:
Jayden is a serious boy. Due to constantly being pressured by his grandparents to be the best, it somehow eventually became a natural want to study and excel. Although he is not the most sociable kid around, Jay knows how to stand up for himself. Seldom friendly, he likes being sarcastic and often likes playing with people's minds just so he could laugh at them in the end.

Jay likes studying and reading books. He's also very determined to use any means necessary to achieve the things he wants. The boy likes to take part in arguments, which he tends to win easily by backing up his words with knowledge. He isn't exactly a cold person, even if he shows his smile more often when someone else loses.

He does have his nice moments.

Appearance:
  • Messy black hair
  • Brown eyes
  • 5'2"
  • Lean

SAMPLE ROLEPLAY

Option I:

Blimey, the Great Hall was packed. It seemed like everywhere a guy looked there was some clown waving around a House banner or yelling about the game.

'Can you believe it?' 'No way!' 'This must be the biggest upset in Hogwarts Quidditch history...'

Stupid Quidditch.

James flopped into an empty seat at the end of the table, shoved an empty plate out of the way, and let his head sink onto his crossed arms, squishing his freckled nose down flat against the tabletop. He wasn't sure why he'd even bothered to come here, since he definitely wasn't hungry. He'd probably never eat again, in fact. He didn'tdeserve to eat. He hadn't stopped in the locker room to change out of his muddy, sweaty uniform after the game either, because he was pretty sure he probably didn't deserve to be clean too; and anyway he couldn't stand to see the looks on his team mates' faces after he blew their chance at winning one of the biggest games they had ever played.

Just one lousy shot. That's all it would have taken. If he could have just got that one stupid foul shot to go through that one stupid hoop, they could have won and he wouldn't have been the biggest blockhead in the entire school.

As if to prove the point, half the people at the next table suddenly broke into a loud victory chant. James pressed his face further into his arms to hide the bright red blotches he could feel creeping up his cheeks. That was it. He was just going to have to run away and move to Nova Scotia. He'd just cost the three-year-in-a-row Champions the Quidditch Cup! How do you ever live that one down for crying out loud? He was only a second year and he was going to spend the rest of his life as 'that dumb cry-baby kid who dropped the Quaffle!'

It felt like every set of eyes in the room was boring into him, and James couldn't stand it anymore. He jerked himself back up from the table and stomped right back out of the Hall the same way he had come in. As he stormed into the quieter hallway outside, he could hear footsteps somewhere behind him. James rounded on the sound and began to shout, his brown eyes shining with tears. "WHAT! Haven't you ever seen a loser before? Why don't you just take a picture!"

Sample Roleplay Response:
Jayden had seen the Quidditch match. Although sports weren't at the very top of his interest list, he didn't mind to go watch it from time to time. He was one of the first students to return to the Great Hall before everyone else did.

Soon enough the quiet Hall flooded with people, the bigger portion of the crowd yelling cheerfully, all smiles. Those were obviously the winners of the match. Well that's nice, but it was time for the youngster to leave the Hall because it was getting too noisy to his liking.

As he stepped outside, he heaved a sigh, feeling content with the current quietness in the hallways. Jayden slowly walked forward, though before he turned around the corner, he stopped when someone started shouting. Not exactly startled by it, the black-haired male turned to look at the person who just shouted.

A small smirk spread across the boy's face. "I've seen plenty." he answered. "You're not a big deal in my opinion." he narrowed his eyes at him. "If you're worried about people remembering you as one, stop making a big deal out of it and be the one to forget it first. Things not always go right in life and this 'loss' of yours is just a grain in the sand so far."
