Biography: (300 words minimum.)

She had grown up in Venice.

Her earliest memories had been racing the gondolas, light brown hair whipping wildly around her and a broad grin plastered upon her face. She had not know of the magical blood that had run through her veins, and neither did her parents. Mr. and Mrs. De Luca both came from perfectly normal families, muggle through and through. Mr. De Luca ran a nearby bakery while Mrs. De Luca was a tailor. They had hardly suspected that their daughter was any different.

She was a quiet child, rarely speaking and preferring to keep to herself. She was never very popular due to an accident, which resulted her in setting a fellow classmates hair on fire in her primary school years. The other children avoided her, even if no evidence came to light that she did in fact accidently do the deed. She was almost as shocked as her classmates when the flames erupted, charring the tips of another girl’s ponytail before vanishing.

She avoided telling her parents, however the two had clearly noticed their daughter solitary behavior. The did their best to supply her with things to keep her busy, resulting in he becoming rather artistic, spending most of her time with paintbrushes and poetry. She grew quite fond of writing as well, and tended to write down her thoughts and feelings when she had the time.

On her eleventh birthday, she received a most peculiar letter to a magical school in France. Her parents were thrilled to have a witch in the family and eagerly helped her with everything she needed, traveling with their daughter to France to buy school supplies. She received her first wand, and a rather excitable little owl to carry letters for her. She excelled in Beauxbatons, receiving rather impressive grades that even stunned her parents.

Marzia had found her muse, where she was able to fit in perfectly without a feeling of being different. She grew quite popular during her years there and gained a rather plentiful amount of decent friends. She was quite easy on the eyes and wasn’t exactly single for long periods of time. However, she never grew attached to the boys, they were accessories, useful at times and lovely to look at.

She was no longer the quiet little Italian girl, popular soon made into someone vain and rather arrogant. She had her fair share of enemies, mostly girls really from silly catfights and jealousy issues. When her parents received the letter stating their daughters’ inappropriate behavior, they were stunned and extremely disappointed. She was shipped to England the next year to live with relatives in hopes that Hogwarts would straighten her out.

Her parents disappeared sometime around them, and the family she had been staying with. The girl was forced into looking after herself. She completed Hogwarts that year and bought an apartment in Hogsmeade, studying Magizoology: Particularly Winged Horses. Her studying paid off as eventually she was certified as an Equine Veterinarian, specializing in the magical kind of course.

She is currently writing a book about the structure and mind of Winged Horses, an in depth novel directly teaching the reader to properly care for the beasts and to notice sighs of sickness.

Roleplay:
Option Two

Roleplay Response:
It was a particularly cold morning in Diagon Alley and Marzia had made sure to wear the thickest coat she could retrieve from her messy cupboard. It was quite mission as her idea of putting things away was stuffing them wherever there looked to be available space, and where she hopeful wouldn’t trip over during the evening.

She buttoned up the coat and laced up her boots before heading out and making sure to lock the door behind her. She wasn’t quite in the mood to have some strangers hit the jackpot in her unlocked one room apartment. She may not have much, but what she did, was valuable. It was a curse really, preferring the finer things when clearly affording them was quite the issue.

It wasn’t everyday she got a call about a sick horse, people simply preferred broomsticks nowadays. She, on the other hand, still felt quite a thrill riding a Winged Horse, especially an Abraxan, they were her favorite. But then again, horses did have a mind of their own while broomsticks did not. She wasn’t exactly sure a horse would wait around while its owner decided to take a stroll around Diagon Alley.

She trotted down the stairs towards her Apartment buildings exit, quickly glances one more time in a mirror nearby the door, she exited. Her food supplies had run low and she had been forced to butter herself a slice of toast for supper. It was rather disappointing coming home and finding nothing in the fridge. It was almost end of month and she had hoped for another appointment before she did monthly shopping, sadly Merlin was not on her side.

She stuck her hands in her pocket, shivering slightly as the snow landed lightly on her rosy cheeks. She noticed a rather frazzled looking man making his way down the street, politely asking people to move. She didn’t think much of it, continuing on her way. That was until tinsel rained over hair.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!"

She struggled to keep balance as the box caused her to trip and stumble over the icy hill. She gave a shout before landing a couple of feet away from the man who had accidentally thrown the tinsel over her.

"I am so sorry! This blasted snow!"

She smiled, shaking tinsel from her hair.

“Oh, its no problem. I’ve fallen plenty of times down this blasted hill. Do you need a hand?”
