Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Angela Pierce

Birthday: July 31, 1943

Hometown: London, England

Bloodline:
Muggleborn / Halfblood / Pureblood / Unknown

Magical Strength (pick one):
Divination / Transfiguration / Charms / Conjuring & Summoning

Magical Weakness (pick one):
Divination / Transfiguration / Charms / Conjuring & Summoning

Year (pick two): Sixth (preferred) Seventh (alternate)

Biography:
On July 31, 1943, Angela and Elliott Pierce were born to newlyweds Elizabeth and Lawrence Pierce. Both parents were musicians and their band (which comprised of Beth, Lawrence, and their good friend Annie Morgan) had just had its first taste of success. The couple was not particularly pleased when their careers were interrupted by Beth's pregnancy.

Because of this Angela and Elliott didn't see their parents much. They were always busy with their careers and weren't home often. The twins were raised by a series of nannies and tutors and they did their best to bother them as much as possible with pranks and general annoyances. Angela's favorite game was always to make up stories about herself and try to convince a new nanny or tutor that they were true. Once she lied to a nanny about being colorblind and kept it up for two whole weeks.

Nannies and tutors weren't the only people she lied to. Ever since she was a toddler Angela had been a social butterfly. She was charismatic and made friends quickly and easily often by lying to make herself sound more interesting, or more approachable, or more trustworthy. Keeping those friends was another matter, however. Whether it was because they exposed her lies or she just grew bored of them, she never kept friends for more than a week.

When the twins were fifteen Elliott became determined to outshine their parents' band with a band of his own. Angela took after her mother and had always loved to sing although she had never considered it more than just a hobby. However, in Angie's mind, there was nothing more glamourous than being a famous singer and Elli recruited her easily with the promise of fame.

Angie and Elli's parents had always been against their children attending Hogwarts because they insisted they could get a better education from private tutors. However, their minds were quickly changed when Elliott suggested that attending Hogwarts could provide a good opportunity to gain a fanbase for their new band. Angela was ecstatic to escape her boring life to experience the school she had heard so much about, yet she was even more excited to meet new people. Angela was ready to cause some drama!

(Note: Elliott Pierce's application says that the twins were 16 when they started their band. This was a mistake and this application has the correct information. The twins started the band when they were 15, which corresponds with their birthdays and going into sixth year. (Though if they are accepted for seventh year then they will have waited a year after starting the band before going to Hogwarts.) Elliott has approved this.)

House Request: Let the sorting hat decide

Personality: Angela Pierce is nothing short of shallow. She is obsessed with being well-liked and laces every other word with (sometimes not so) white lies. Angela lives from one thrill to the next with no concern for others' emotions. She spends every moment in the present and is uninterested by talk of the future or what-ifs.

However, Angela is not all bad. No one can deny she is charming, fun, and exciting. She can enchant an audience with a turn of phrase and when you're around her you can always count on a good time.

Appearance:
Tan, blonde, and blue-eyed, Angela considers herself the ultimate beauty. She is slightly taller than average, standing at five foot five. She has a slim yet not particularly athletic build and a fairly symmetrical face that she perfects with lots of makeup.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.

The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.

Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.

Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.

Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.

The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.

As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.

Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.

Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

Angie had been hanging out in the gardens, trying to catch the eye of a particularly cute boy while at the same time pretending she didn't see the said boy when the sound of a massive sneeze startled her. She jumped and let out a small squeak as her finger caught on a thorn adorning the stem of a rose she had been inspecting.

Blood started to leak from the small cut and Angela popped her finger in her mouth to hopefully stop the bleeding. She glanced around to see where the noise had come from and found herself staring at a rather disheveled looking boy. He looked to be a bit younger than she was, maybe a fifth or fourth year. Probably a fourth year as he was currently wiping his nose messily on his sleeve.

"Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

"Oh! My apologies," Angela said with a rather forced smile as she tried to hide her disgust. "Do you want my handkerchief?"

Hopefully, the boy she was after would notice her spontaneous good deeds and realize she totally girlfriend material.
