Name: Micah Wyatt Price

Birthday: June 7, 1926

Hometown: Winner, South Dakota, United States. Now resided in London, England. Stays at the Orphanage.

Biography:
It was just a black leather shoe. Atop his lap with the sun not yet fully risen lay a single shoe, black and glossy with worn soles and knotted black laces. The mahogany curved brown wood with its tall, thick black bristles was held firmly in small hands as he moved the brush over the side and front of the shoe, spreading the polish and giving the worn shoe its previous pristine look.

The shoe wouldn’t be able to fit Micah’s small feet but the sentiment was evident in the way he let the brush wash over the curved toe, the way his eyes filled to the brim with tears as he allowed himself to slip into his memories. It had belonged to his father before The Bad Thing happened, before everything he had known just vanished from existence.

Micah remembered his father being a tall, broad man with kind eyes and a steady hand. Simon had worked as a doctor in London but had went to South Dakota for a special case where he met Micah's mother, and of course his father had to bring her back with him. His mother was named Emily, a stay at home mother who was just as sweet and caring as one would usually describe their mother. From what he remembered of her she was stricter than his father but more open when it came to what was going on throughout the day. The rest of his family was around but explicit details were lost in blurs with the only real thing standing out was the small arguments around the holidays and over petty things. It was getting harder to remember things ever since The Bad Thing happened but Micah had grown into the habit of writing everything he was able to remember down so that at least he would be able to read about it later.

There were so many questions that were never answered along his journey to this orphanage. They had told him he was special, had magical abilities because he was a wizard like from those picture books he remembered gazing at. They had then told him everything would be fine and he would be going to school soon. But everything wasn't fine, nothing would truly ever be okay about this situation but despite this new predicament Micah had tried to show an up-beat attitude toward his new life. There was really no more room for tears, no use to stay tied up and dragged down by grief and questions.

It was only times like this, where he was alone, that he allowed himself to think back and let his shoulders slump and shake. When the window was cracked and a sweet whistle from the cool morning breeze ruffled the bed sheets did he finally let himself frown, let the cold seep into his bones and his breath shake.

Only when his reflection stared back at him through the dark leather did he put them back and tucked them deep under his bed. His shoulders would straighten and a bright smile would twist his lips, a renewed pep would take his steps place as he bounded down the staircase to greet the others for breakfast. There he would let rolls of laughter spill and bark jokes as he passed the potatoes, get even the newest residence to smile again because that is what you had to do.

The only way to not sink was to swim.

Personality:
Like both his mother and father he is extremely independent, preferring to do things by himself rather than call for assistance. Raised in an upper-middle class household he was taught to be polite which usually forced him to contain his curious and extroverted personality. Micah is an opportunist and is rather bullheaded in most circumstances. Despite his spontaneous outburst he is rather collected when he needs to be. If he took a step back he is capable of using his mind and his way with words to get him out of the most difficult situations. Even though he tends to be that social butterfly he only keeps very few people close to him which he will stick up for and defend. Most of the time you can see him chatting up a storm and laughing, having a very boyish attitude about him.

As an only child he is used to the attention of his parents and so once they were lost due to the Time Warp he’s at a loss. Now he is mainly just trying to find out what to do and being the optimistic person he is he usually doesn’t let it show how much the sudden loss has affected him.

In school he was never the best student but he was nowhere near the bottom either. Learning new things definitely spark an interest in him but the whole classroom layout usually leaves him disinterested and bored. Hands-on activities are his specialty and he seems to have a knack for numbers if he could ever concentrate long enough.


Appearance:
He’s a bit short for his age standing around 4’11” but a growth spurt could be imminent. From his father he obtained the same dark brown hair that appears black until the sun exploits its true colors; he also got his father’s brown eyes which Micah believes are rather plain and boring. From his mother Micah got his dark tan skin complexion from her Native American part of the family along with his heart-shaped face complete with high cheekbones and small curved chin. He is rather lean with muscles beginning to emerge as he grows older, mostly from his work-out routine he completes to stay in shape that he now does more vigorously as a way to cope with the loss of his family.

Taught to dress right with his father’s reasonable income, Micah could be seen seen wearing plain cotton shirts or the standard single-breasted suit with trousers on certain occasions. For more comfortable attire he wears knickers with knee-high socks and a simple shirt. Now after the loss of his parents due to Warp Micah’s fashion has had to decrease drastically but one thing he truly prides himself on would be his shoes. He takes great care in all of them, taking time to shine and clean them all before he goes to bed. He’s not partially vain but he likes to take care of his appearance.

Option 2

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!" Micah yelled as he spun on his heels to face the now deserted corridor, the echo of feet still bouncing off from every direction. A toothy grin pulled at the corner of his lips as he readied himself for the search. Hogwarts was a big castle with many passages, staircases, and rooms but Micah was confident enough in his skills. He had played it before at his old home with family friends and had won every time.

A winner was a winner, right? So he would win.

A single step set him off on his journey, energy and excitement encased in each foot he planted on the cool stone of the halls. Muddy eyes peered through the shadows of dark corners in search of familiarity, for his goal, so that he could let his pride fill up once again even if the source was something as trivial as a kid game of hide and seek.

Truthfully, growing up hadn't ever been a dream to look up to for him. What really was growing up? You got old and tired, you got more responsibilities with the expectation of doing it on your own with no ones help and those small things that used to amaze you begin to look as bland as the past you wished to grow up from. There was always happiness in the future but that innocent bliss that twinkled behind peoples eyes grew bleak and for Micah there was no rush for him to quicken that process.

"I'll find you, you know!" He hollered, a cocky tone laced in his playful words.   

“Hey!”

"Wha'? You aren't supposed to give out where you ar--," His mouth clamped shut as he turned to see an unfamiliar girl coming down the hallway toward him rather than one of his friends who he was supposed to be finding. The closer she came the more obvious it was how much she towered over the small boy, the strange look in her eye insisting that it would be in his best interest stay put.

“What do you think about serving frog legs at lunch? Some say it’s a delicacy, but others think it’s plain gross.”

"Really? Frog legs?" He inquired, taken aback but the question that was supposedly meant for the paper. "You write about that? That's pretty boring." Shrugging, he stuffed his hands deep into his uniforms pockets as his shoulders slouched down. "Why don't you right about cooler stuff, like my game!"

"Speaking of, have you seen anyone hiding? I have to find them so I can win."

His game was more fun and important than dumb frog legs, but that would be rude to say. Micah bet that she would rather help him with the game rather than write a boring article anyway. Who didn't like games?
