Thanks! One last thing. When attempting to Register it's asking for a 'secret phrase' but I haven't been able to find one (I know it's probably something glaringly obvious I'm missing.) - J

I have one major question before I register as it affects the name I use, since Students open up in April (From what I read) should I wait? Or can I have an Elsewhere character and a student? If I can have both...how do I go about choosing a username?

Suggestions & Questions / Having a hard time getting into old account then having a hard time registering

Hi there!

My name is Elisabeth aka Liz and I've been an on-again, off-again RP-er here under many aliases, most recently Marnie Ennes, Aea Mullins, Edith McCullough, et al.  Part of the problem is that when I try to log in under ANY of my old accounts, it tells me I cannot log into a sub-account.  Then I tried to log into one I thought *might* be the parent and it told me the account had been deleted.

So I tried to register a brand new account, start afresh and all that jazz, and it's asking for a secret phrase.  I've combed through everything and see no mention of a secret phrase.  I know that was something that was done in the past but is it something you guys are still doing?  Obviously people are finding it if they are registering it, either that or the registration page hates me... possible with my luck, lol.

I'd like to start a new account, just be rid of the old one as I think the parent was deleted and I don't want to have someone try to sort that mess out.  I do plan to purchase a subscription plan to support the site.

Sooo... can someone help me out with this confusing stuff?  And please tell me I'm just blind and this secret phrase thing isn't the site out to confuse and befuddle me, lol.

Hello, I'm building a character and before I continue with their backstory I had a question about the Time Warp.

I read in this thread http://hogwarts-school.net/sortinghat/index.php?topic=3601.0, that muggles were left behind during the time change.

"Those outside of Wizarding Areas, however, found themselves, all of a sudden, standing in the exact same spot - 38 years earlier."

Would it have been possible that muggles went back with the wizards, if they had been in a Wizarding Area? For example, Hermione's muggle parents went with her to Diagon Alley, which is a Wizarding Area. So would it be possible for some muggles to have slid back?

Hi! I used to play here a long, long time ago and I'm interested in coming back... Since it's a few weeks before student applications are open, I thought I'd get back into the swing of things with an Elsewhere character. Everything has changed so much, and it looks amazing! Except that I'm finding it a bit challenging to prepare that character because the information I can access is a tad limited without accepted-character viewing permissions.

Primarily, I am wondering if there's an active shop listing for us new players to peruse. I may want this character to help in a shop, or possibly arrange to set one up if something similar to their interests doesn't already exist. The proposed shops seem to be up on this board, but accepted applications just say that they've been accepted. I'd like to know more about what sorts of opportunities there are to jump in.

Because this is such a huge community and what I presume is the main interest (the Hogwarts castle) has limited enrollment periods, it might be helpful for new players to be able to better know their Elsewhere options so they can get started. I was going to try Camp Loki, it looks pretty dead since the start of term. Perhaps new players could be given viewing but not posting permission for the Elsewhere forums in addition to Camp Loki while they're preparing their applications.

TL;DR I'm looking for some help in getting started with an Elsewhere character because I'm finding things a bit "black box" with the viewing permissions of a new player. Or should I just wait til April and apply my student?
