Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Raleigh was born into an American Family, a branch of the Carlisle Family. His mother was English, but his father was American and they set their residence in their Father’s state from birth. He was a quiet and shy boy, comparatively to his siblings who were a little bit louder than he ever was. He came pre-built with a good sense of humour and high spirits, if you hung around enough to get it out of him.

As a child he would always be smiling, already laughing at a joke that he never had the courage to tell anyone else. There were a lot of jokes that he wanted to tell people, but his inability to break out of his quiet shell stopped them from ever reaching ears. Instead, Raleigh wrote them down in books. He loved books, not the reading but the writing of them. There was something about the feel of a crisp page under his hands that got him excited, the smell of ink as he opened a fresh bottle and started to write.

When he turned 11, he was sent to Salem Institute. A Knight, but not in the way that most of them were. Raleigh was interested in science, but he was not very interested in conventional medicines. He thought it was in all their heads, just like his own problems had always been just inside his head. He continued his passion for writing as he attended the school, slowly but surely becoming more fluent in the written word and starting to look into other languages.

He found some of them too difficult to speak, but he found speaking to be hard enough in his own language. Not because he was unable to speak it properly, he was quite fluent and eloquent with his words. But they were quiet, even when he tried to shout he would only reach a volume just below the average persons range. It was all in his head, he knew it. He always had.

His scientific interests came to light when he started to explore the world of candy, specifically unusual and rare types of candy that his family would send to him to try – as always, they received a generous letter in response. He spoke to his family more in one letter than he could in a Summer of conversation.

Raleigh kept to himself, graduating with one that he would call a best friend and a few others that he knew not-so-well.

Shortly after his graduation, he decided he wanted to travel. But, the global climate was not right for it just yet. Instead, he decided he wanted to move to London and try to get a job making and selling candy to the masses. These were rough and troubling times and Raleigh wanted to help in the only way he knew he would be successful.

Reply as your character to the following:

It was impossible for Dianne to stay out of trouble. It wasn't that she was looking for trouble, it's just that trouble always managed to find her. Today she wished she could find something equally familiar but more comforting.

The five-year old girl hugged her puffskein closer to her and brushed her face in its soft fur for comfort. She had named him herself and he was always her special pet. No she was certain she had never gone down this side street before. Her anxiety increased every second as darkness fell as she walked down the road. A loud noise came to her left and she buried her face in her pet's fur completely. The scared girl bolted the opposite way slamming the both of them into the wall of the nearest building. Tottering back a few steps she found a door a few feet to her right and ran to open it. What light there was inside spilled out into the darkness and she spilled into the room.

Once in, she was caught between the impulse to curl her cloak up more tightly around her and loosen her grip on it. She wasn't alone anymore but she was now among strangers instead, which was nearly as terrifying. Her puffskein had recovered from the shock of the wall and now was purring contentedly as the girl hugged it, causing a mildly calming effect on the girl. Gathering her courage, she marched up to the nearest person, pulled on the nearest clothing hem and blurted out in a loud voice:

"I'm lost and it's dark and I wanted to know where I am but I'm not scared but I am worried that Sambundeakin is scared because he's little and needs something to eat and wants to go home."

She paused to draw a breath in her nearly never-ending sentence, "He misses my and his mommy."

To explain the scared girl held up the custard-colored puffskein. Sambundeakin the puffskein, however simply purred as if nothing on earth was wrong in the world.

Roleplay Response:
His head was always buzzing loudly with things he wanted to say, but most of the time he just never got the opening to make his comments. Even if he did, there was always an important reason why he should not speak. At least, that was what he had convinced himself of, there was always an excuse for him to be silent and let the world pass around him. Tonight was no different, the boy was on his way to a meeting but he could not see the person in the restaurant at all.

Raleigh was considering asking the attendant if his business partner was here yet, or if they had heard anything. But, she looked busy. Or stressed, definitely stressed and Raleigh would have been horrible to interrupt her and make her night worse. It was best if he bowed out quietly and made his exit. He hoped he had not been an inconvenience.

Turning away, a young child grabbed onto him and started to shout and sob. It was possible that she was not shouting at all, but he often regarded anyone talking out loud to be shouting of some sort. His own voice was soft and quiet, often too quiet to be heard.

Raleigh kneeled down and smiled.

“Is she out as well, she might be looking for you?” he spoke quietly, like a whisper. “I can wait for you and see if she gets here.”

He looked over the attendant, considering asking for helped. But she looked too stressed for that again, Raleigh sighed and turned to the girl, offering his hand to her. He would try and help, but he was probably going to be terrible at it. People always told him that he was terrible at everything.
