Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Juliette Eloise Lisse knew that she was different when she was a child. She didn’t get to go outside and get dirty like most other children her age, and she always had the prettiest of dresses and the best quality toys to play with. There were always fancy parties to attend and etiquette training. If she was good during the parties and the classes, she always got something special: usually a new toy, a new dress, or a piece of candy.

Along with her etiquette training and regular school (which she excelled at), Juliette fell in love with the ballet. Her mother and father took her to see the ballet adaptations of the Fountain of Fair Fortune and the Warlock’s Hairy Heart as a young child and she decided then that she wanted to dance on stage like that. She demanded to see other ballets, including muggle ones, and when she was seven she enrolled in the best dancing school in France. Even when she was older, Juliette showed an incredible ability to be at the top of her class in both ballet and Beauxbatons.

But when she was fifteen, things shifted a little. Her brother Lucien, five years older than her, died and – to make things even worse – her sister Chloe was not only kicked out of Beauxbatons but also out of the family. The sisters, who once were close when they were younger, now were on opposite sides of the family. Chloe had become the black sheep, and Juliette was now the prized child who Renée and Mathis regarded as the future of the Lisse family.

Juliette graduated at the top of her class at Beauxbatons, and moved to Paris; she had received a spot in the corps de ballet in the Paris Opera Ballet company, and she had a feeling that is where Chloe ran off to when she left the family home, so she was hoping she would run into her at some point. A year after beginning with the Paris ballet, she was promoted to the position of soloist. Her mother and father were immensely proud of their youngest daughter achieving what she had at such a young age, but they continued to put more pressure on her to settle down and find someone she could continue the Lisse bloodline with.

While Juliette did have hopes of having a family someday, she knew that she only had about ten years left of her dancing career before she would have to retire, and having a baby would potentially ruin her chances of achieving everything she wanted to achieve. So while she was thrilled to receive the coveted position of principal at the Royal Ballet in London, her mother and father were not so thrilled. Still, they purchased a flat in London for their daughter with the promise that she would seriously consider the suitors they sent her way.

So that is what Juliette does; she accepts dates with men that she is not interested in so she is able to live for free in London. She continues to attend parties to represent the Lisse family, sometimes with her mother and father accompanying her, but her passion lies with dance. If she happens to find the perfect man in the process, then her parents will be happy.

Option Two -
The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response:
The colder months were Juliette’s favorite time of the year; winter fashion was her forté. She loved being able to wear her expensive winter jackets with her cloche bucket hats, and the perfect pair of tall boots. Being the youngest Lisse, the ones her parents were counting on the most to carry on their bloodline, she never left the house without first making sure she looked absolutely perfect. Even finding a hair out of place would make her late for any outing.

Juliette’s high heeled boots clicked on the cobblestone as she made her way, with purpose, down Diagon Alley. She was wearing a long dark brown corduroy jacket that was tied around her slim waist, matching dark brown boots, and a dark purple cloche bucket hat. Her long brown hair was down, in wispy curls, catching some flakes of white snow as she walked. She was on her way to have dinner with some friends – other dancers that were part of the wizarding world.

She found herself deep in thought, daydreaming about the upcoming season of dance as a principal ballerina. Juliette was so excited to try out for the lead roles that she had been dreaming of her whole life, to finally see her name in lights and in the papers. But her thoughts were interrupted when suddenly she heard a voice behind her call out, causing her to stop moving and turn around. She saw a man scrambling to his feet, covered in tinsel. That’s when she looked down at herself and saw tinsel lying on her jacket, along with some flecks of glitter. She furrowed her brow for a moment, then looked at the man.

“If you weren’t in such a hurry, you might not have slipped,” Juliette responded to him, pulling the strands of tinsel off her jacket. The glitter would have to stay for now, as she knew her gloved hands wouldn’t be useful at cleaning it off. “Perhaps you ought to slow down?” she suggested and looked up at the unsteady box that was floating above their heads.
