Biography:

Elliott and Angela Pierce were born on July 31st, 1943 to Elizabeth and Lawrence Pierce. They were married three months into Beth's pregnancy in a tiny church in Beth's hometown. They'd planned to spend the day in the studio recording songs for their first album, but reluctantly cancelled for the wedding. Recently their band (made up of the two of them plus their close friend Annie Morgan) had gotten a record deal and released several very successful singles. Some called it unlucky or even careless of them to have children just as their career was blossoming but Beth and Lawrence had never been the type to care what anyone said about them.

Since their parents were almost always busy with their careers Elliott and Angela were raised by a series of nannies. It was a constant game for Elliott and Angie to drive their nannies insane. Though Elliott always thought Angie was the most annoying person on earth (and honestly, not many people would argue against that) for some reason he still enjoyed her company sometimes and they had a blast together. They were nearly always teammates rather than rivals.

Living in a London penthouse with famous parents didn't exactly make it easy to make friends, especially since Elliott wasn't the most social. When he wasn't plotting the demise of one of their nannies or tutors with Angela he mostly kept to himself and taught himself a variety of instruments. He spent the most time on guitar and trumpet, though he also knew the basics of saxophone and loved to sing and harmonize with Angie.

For as long as he can remember, Elliott has dreamed of making it big like his parents. He figure's it began with wanting to please them and get their attention for once, but after putting so much time into it he couldn't help but begin to truly love music. When he reached age 16 he decided it was finally time to start putting things into motion. Since he didn't really know anyone else, it only made sense to recruit Angie. She had a beautiful voice and all it took to convince her was the promise of fame. He's ready to do whatever it takes to start his own band and reach stardom. But he realizes fans don't appear out of thin air.

For years, their parents had always said that an education at Hogwarts was inferior to what they could be given with private tutors, although Elliott was only mediocre at magic and lagging behind in academics. Elliott and Angela spent many hours trying to convince them but were always unsuccessful. However, when they proposed going to Hogwarts as an opportunity to start up their new band and build up a fan base, their parents' view changed. Both Elliott and Angela were elated at the chance to get away from their boring everyday lives and go to the school they'd heard so much about. Sure, they were going to start their band, but they were going to have a lot of fun at Hogwarts too.

He's a little pale from spending so much time indoors, but not so much to be considered unusual.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

Elliott was lost. Again.

He still wasn't used to living in a place this huge. Everything was so confusing at Hogwarts- the staircases moved, the paintings talked, rooms were there one minute and gone the next... He was beginning to realize how he'd taken for granted the ease of living someplace where everything wasn't magic. He thought it would be extraordinary and exciting, which it was sometimes, but more often it was just hard to get from one place to another.

The dungeons always seemed to be a little cooler than the rest of the castle, and even in his sweater he shivered. He wanted to get out of here and back to the safety of his dormitory. But every hallway looked the same and every door looked like a million he'd passed before.

But then he heard a voice. It was faint, but it was something.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

Elliott turned a corner to see a small girl, probably a first year. She must have been the source of the voice. "Emma Birch? Haven't heard of her, sorry. I'm new here. Is there any chance you know how to get out of here?" he said. It felt like he'd been stuck in this stupid dungeon for hours.
