Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.

Name: Ritcher Rinehardt Jr.

Birthday: 04 Dec 1952

Hometown: London

Bloodline: Muggleborn

Magical Strength (pick one): Conjuring and Summoning

Magical Weakness (pick one): Transfiguration

Year (pick two):First or Second

Biography:  Ritcher’s family is one ordinary but happy muggle family. His parents Carl and Emma are engineers and work at an auto repair shop that the family owns. His parents had met at Hertfordshire Technical College in 1950 and were married immediately after graduation. RJ was born in the winter of 52 and had the life of a normal kid in the big city of London, this however hadn’t lasted long.

It had been in the middle of afternoon last year when a man dressed in a funny looking cloak had come to his house and had handed him a letter. The Rinehardt family never had a witch or a wizard in the line so every single aunt and uncle was shocked that RJ will not be attending middle school or high school for that matter. But after all the talks died down, RJ’s parents assured him that they were proud of him and would continue to be on his side no matter where he goes or what he chooses.

Without a doubt RJ had chosen to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he was hoping to discover a brand new world.

→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.

House Request: Hufflepuff or Gryffindor

Personality: RJ is a young bubbly soul who can sometime seem very old and boring to his peers. A less known fact about RJ is that he had made a firm decision to bring out the real RJ who had been hiding inside forever, all thanks to a British school education.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

This morning RJ had woken up determined to try and use the latest muggle contraption his father had brought him from France. The small rectangular object had two even smaller round knobs. As RJ understood, turning these would create an image on the blank rectangular space.

Getting dressed he wondered is the images he drew on the object - RJ still hadn't gotten used to it's name - would be all magical and move like the photos in the wizarding world did. Even if they don't move on their own, I'm sure a little magic could help RJ thought to himself. Determined to achieve the impossible he hurried towards the library, however it was not long before his tummy rumbled and he was forced to head for breakfast.

By the time RJ was done with breakfast - and had now completely given up on trying to get the images to move - he decided that he would head to the dungeons to look for something to capture as art. He was sure that he would find something interesting in the dungeons of a really really old school for magic.

A significant amount of time had passed since RJ's arrival at the dungeons and unfortunately the most interesting thing he has come across was green moss on a grey wall. It was when RJ was almost about to give up on his drawing adventure that he heard a noise, in fact RJ could have sworn that it was someone saying "H-hello". Trying to find the source of this mysterious whisper he spotted a blonde girl, who now spoke more clearly, "Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

RJ knew that Emma Birch was a student who had been murdered at Hogwarts but had she really turned into a ghost and did she really hang out in the dungeons? May be this could be something interesting he thought to himself. What he could not understand was why was an little girl from Gryffindor looking for her. Having seen the girl jump at the sound of her own voice RJ approached her carefully.

"No, but I am" he said holding out his hand, "Ritcher Rinehardt, and you are?"

Stuffing his muggle contraption into his robes, RJ hoped that his coming to the dungeons might not have been a total waste of time after all.

Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.
Name: Ritcher Jr. Reinhardt

Birthday: 13th March. 1957

Hometown: Liverpool.

Bloodline:
Pureblood

Magical Strength (pick one):
Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one):
Divination

Year (pick two): 7th or 6th

Biography:
The seventeen year old looked at the huge and old castle. He took a deep breath, trying to capture every detail in his mind. This would be the last time he was going to stay in the castle. It was Ritchie’s last year at Hogwarts.

RJ was too upset to leave the school however he was happy that his family and extended family was full of witches and wizards (purebloods) and he wouldn't be missing magic at home unlike some of his muggle born friends.

His thoughts wandered to the girl who he had always admired but had maintained his distance from her. RJ knew he wasn't made for relationships and other commitments. He quickly brushed aside those thoughts from his mind.

He thought about his siblings in the school. His sister, Eden, had two more years left to enjoy at Hogwarts. "Mother of merlin" RJ rambled under his breath, as he took his eyes away from the castle and mounted the carriage that like always was drawing itself.

This was his last year at school. The though struck him hard as he saw the other students in the carriage all of them younger than him. He had to make the most of it. He had tried quidditch last term but had failed miserably. The school paper he thought was for queers. That meant there was only one thing left for him to do. Dueling. That was it. That would be his calling this year.

RJ was a shy boy. He loved playing the violin but anyone at school hardly knew that. He had never bought his four stringed instrument to school. There had been rumors about a band being formed last term but nothing had happened.

He had taken almost all classes except divination and history of magic. He had no idea what classes he would take this term or what he wanted to do with his life after he passed out of school.

The carriage reached the castle and the tall boy with black hair got down. Six years of attending the school and he knew that his luggage would already be in his dormitory. He made his way to the great hall and took a seat at thesis house table. The sorting was about to begin and then speeches followed by the feast. After that his last year at Hogwarts would begin for real.

Option 2:

“Oh, come now!"

Astrid Bixby’s voice carried down the corridor, the tall blonde girl not far behind. Her interviewee – or victim, depending on perspective – turned a corner and she frowned. They were always soelusive when she needed them. Sure, they would talk as if there was no tomorrow during class, but once she actually needed them to say something, they were nowhere to be found. Gryffindors.

Flustered, Astrid stopped in the middle of the corridor and stared, her parchment hanging limply from her hand. She was a good reporter, really, and she always did her best to make sure that everything she wrote was accurate. She glanced down to the quill, eyeing it with disdain. It wasn’t her fault if her quill misquoted. How was she supposed to know? It made for interesting articles, at least, and if she had misquoted the Head Boy last term as saying he had a love for stuffed animals, then that gave him personality. Astrid sighed.

A pout formed on her lips as she turned away, discouraged. The corridor was mercifully empty, though the doors to The Spellbound – the school newspaper – were ominously closed. Corbridge was a mercifully sweet editor, but Astrid was terrified of disappointing her all the same. She hadto come back with quotes.
Her eyes, blue, trailed her surroundings before choosing a new path, and she turned down a new corridor. A figure was ahead, and her eyes lit up, an impossibly rosy smile blossoming across her lips.

“Hey!” Astrid called, her voice light and singsong. She trotted to catch the person, her shoes clicking on the stone floor. “Wait up! It’s for the paper!” Her legs aided her admittedly poor running, and Astrid gasped as she came closer. “What do you think about serving frog legs at lunch? Some say it’s a delicacy, but others think it’s plain gross.”

RESPONSE:

RJ came to a halt and turned around as he heard a melodious voice call behind him. He stood face to face with a tall blonde who he suspected to be in 5th year. HE sighed as it reminded him of his last year at Hogwarts.

Between breaths the girl told him that she waanted something for the schoo paper. and then came the extremely weird question, "What do you think about serving frog legs at lunch? Some say it’s a delicacy, but others think it’s plain gross.”

RJ blinked at the girl. He had never worked for the school paper in his six years. He lips curled into a small smile. His was glad that he hadn't tried to get into Spellbound. RJ cleared his throat, he assumed that acting dumb would make short work of this interwiew. "Ummmm... I think they should serve frog legs. As long as they don't harm any student's frog."

Ritch looked for signs of disappointment on her face. He waited for a reply, smiling to himself. His actions would depend on the way the girl would reply.
