Biography: (100 words minimum.)

Augustus was not a planned child at all, he was a surprise to say the least at least for his birth mother who was young and perhaps a little foolish. What had been simply a fling with a young Muggle had resulted in a child and far too much sudden responsibility when Augustus was born. On June 24th in the year 1952, he arrived - born early, yet again another huge surprise, he was so small and ... helpless. His birth mother tried, she really did, for the first few months of his young life she did her best - but the responsibility of caring for a child, a baby - who relied on her for every little thing was just far too much for her.

It was this reason that she wrote, in a note that was tucked into the blanket that young Auggie was wrapped in, simply stating that his name was Augustus Donovan and giving his date of birth. With a wish from a young mother to give him a better chance at life than she felt she could give. Auggie was found at the doors of Hogsmeade Children's Home in the middle of winter, with just the clothes he was wearing and a blanket wrapped around him.

Despite not having a mother or father to raise him, Augustus - better known by those who know him as simply 'Auggie' has grown up happy, although a little smaller than some kids his age and possessing a slight stutter that is something he is trying his best to 'fix' - he has a love for life and a wonder for the world. He loves looking through books, particularly anything he can find on dinosaurs - he likes muggle stories just as much as the magical ones. Any kind of story and young Auggie would be hooked from the first words, pausing to ask questions multiple times throughout the story being told however - is something he is working on still.

Auggie is a bright little thing but he is still very much a little boy who loves to play around.  Being outside is one of his favorite activities other than dinosaurs and stories - from the age of four he found ways up to high heights. If only he could fly like the big kids did on their brooms...  More than once he has almost given someone a heart attack as he simply waves from wherever he was never really explaining the how in how he managed to get up to wherever it was.

He is always curious about something he deems interesting, but he is a very much sweet young boy with big dimples that stand out more so whenever he laughs and smiles. He perhaps is a little bit of a charmer at times, although he doesn't fully understand what that truly means, but he is known for using his adorable dimples and wide eyes to get himself out of trouble. Not that it happens all that often. He tries to be good, but sometimes he doesn't always think before he acts, he is only Seven though and has plenty of time ahead of him.

Roleplay:

Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:

Auggie was always happy to be allowed outside to play, although the park was by far one of his most favorite kinds of places to go - there was always something fun going on there. Usually there were even some bigger kids, who on very rare occasions would let him hover on their brooms, which weren't the toy ones - but the REAL ones that went a lot higher, and faster even.

But as much as he liked to play, and try to fly - he didn't like to get into trouble and he had been told to behave along with a few of the other kids from the home who were there with him - all of who had already rushed off to do their own things. Leaving Auggie on his own, his backpack hanging loosely from his shoulders - a little too big for his tiny frame but a bright red, slightly wonky - letter 'A' standing out on the front pocket made it his very own bag.

He had backups in case he wasn't able to find someone to play with, or something he wanted to play - but before he could try and even work out what he might want to do he was suddenly being startled as someone yelled out.

"You!"

It was a girl who spoke and oddly seemed to be addressing him, causing the youngster to look slightly confused before he nodded slowly, a little unsure about his own answer. The girl seemed rather upset though and he hated seeing anyone upset if he could help them in some way - maybe he could make her feel better.

"Uh... O-Okay, w-we can play." Dimples quickly showing as he offers a smile, one hand clutching a strap of his backpack as he steps a little closer, "What y-you wanna play?"
