→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.
Name: Elias Glass
Birthday: 18 May 1947
Hometown: Isle of Skye
Bloodline: Pureblood
Magical Strength (pick one): Conjuring & Summoning
Magical Weakness (pick one): Charms
Year (pick two): First (or Second)
Biography:
Elias doesn't know a lot of things.
He doesn't know his parents, for one. They died when he was very young of dragon pox, leaving him and his sister to live with their aunt and uncle on the Isle of Skye. He's been told stories of his parents his whole life, but never really felt a real connection with them, though he figures that they've affected his whole life. They are his parents, after all, and genetics will out in the end. But he's always felt more connected to his aunt and uncle, and especially to his older sister and the animals that also lived on the farm on the Isle of Skye.
He doesn't know why his sister is so crazy. Maybe she was born like that. Maybe it's because she actually remembers their parents and it messed her all up. But he loves her anyway and is always there to pick up after her and keep her from doing anything really insane.
He doesn't know why animals are better than people. He just knows that they are. Especially his horses. He isn't sure what he's going to do at school without them.
He doesn't know why he likes Vesper Delacroix at all. To be honest, she's kind of awful. But he still puts up with her anyway. At least, his other friends seem a bit more decent. Jack and PJ and Dore and all of them are pretty cool.
He doesn't know why people get so worked up about things that don't matter. It seems like people are always getting upset about stuff, whether it be other people or things breaking or whatever. Even when his sister had abandoned him to go to Hogwarts, even when his first horse had gotten sick and had to go to sleep forever, even when his grandmother had passed away, it wasn't really sad. It just was. It wasn't a big deal, it was just life.
However, Elias does know that Hogwarts is going to be the best. He's been counting down the days since his sister had gotten her letter. And now he has his and he's going to get sorted into the same house as all his friends and they're going to play quidditch and hang out with the animals. It's going to be great.
→ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.
House Request: Same as Vesper Delacroix, please.
Personality:
Elias has always been the more cautious and aware of he and his sister, perhaps because he’s been on the receiving end of more than his fair share of his sister’s pranks. But don’t worry, he’s not going to ruin your fun. In fact, some of his sister’s adventurousness has worn off on him after many years of being dragged along. He’ll just be sure to come prepared with all necessary supplies and a plan of how the adventure will go. Not to mention, lots of snacks.
Life on a farm and distillery has meant that Elias never turns down an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. He’s always been easy going and eager to befriend anyone he happens across, regardless of age or station. If you’re ever looking for someone to join you for just about anything, Elias is your guy.
But other people aren’t always around and able to hang out, so he’s learned to entertain himself as well. Creatures of any sort always make for good company and seem to respond to him well. He also loves adventure stories, playing the trumpet (the loudest instrument he could find), riding and training horses, or following Quidditch on the wireless.
Just don’t ask him to cook or make potions. You’re liable to have an explosion on your hands. And maybe don’t ask him to go on adventures in the dark. Ever since his parents died, he’s been nervous about not being able to see in front of him, always sleeping with a light on at night. You never knew what was lurking there.
It’s also advisable that you don’t try to get too deep with Elias. A callous individual since his parents’ deaths, he’s always avoided the touchy-feely stuff and never been good at handling emotions of any sort.

Option 2:
That rat of his was in for it now.
The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.
Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.
Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.
Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.
The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.
As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.
"You blasted rat! Where are you?"
He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.
Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.
Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."
The gardens at Hogwarts were much nicer than the functional vegetable gardens that his aunt and uncle had maintained. Elias had never really been one for plants or growing things or anything like that, but this place was incredible. He’d come in just for a moment to get out of the weather, only to find himself still there nearly ten minutes later, fascinated by all the colours and leaves and odd looking things around him. What were all these things? Maybe he should have opted to take herbology this term after all.
He was just inspecting a strange, blue flower when someone exploding pulled his attention away. Wait, not exploding. Was that a sneeze?
If it was, he wasn't entirely sure that person was going to be okay. Maybe they'd blown off their nose! He'd definitely want to see that. He started heading in the direction of the sneeze, wondering how the person would look without a nose. It was kind of an important part of your face, after all.
He found the other kid, a boy, who unfortunately looked totally normal, if a bit like he had a runny nose. He talked a bit like Vesper though, causing Eli to frown. It was one thing for her to do it, but he didn't like other people who talked like they were better than him.
"I was hoping you'd've sneezed off your nose," he said. "Instead, I just found a kid with boogers on his robes." It was very disappointing. "How come you're in the greenhouses if you're allergic?"
He was assuming, of course. Maybe the kid was just sick. Maybe it was his punishment for being such a pompous jerk.
