Hello, great gaping void of the interwebs.
Anyway.
I'm new here, and I've been trying to sign up for Charms for about half an hour now and I keep trying to 'select the code' but I'm not sure how, and all of my attempts have made my computer a bit frustrated. Would anyone mind explaining how to correctly sign up for the class, code included?
Thanks.

Application for Hogwarts School

CHARACTER INFORMATION:

Name: Victoria Theia Tempus

Birthday: June 29th, 1925 (12 years old)

Hometown: York, England

Bloodline: Pureblood

Magical Strength: Charms

Magical Weakness: Summoning/Conjuring

Year: First/Second

Biography:
From a young age, Victoria's parents, John & Athena, were sent away from home nearly constantly because of their jobs at the Ministry. Thus, she was mainly raised by her father's mother, a strict, old-fashioned woman named Helena Tempus, and her mother's father, a sweet, kind retired broom-maker named Thomas Farthorn. She was never the friendliest person, but made up for her lack of many friends by an extreme closeness with her twin, Ophelia, and her midnight-black cat, Nyx. As much as her family doted on her twin, a sweet yet sometimes overly kind girl, her father's family, a group of wealthy socialites, tended to look to Victoria to carry on the family name and the pride associated with it. Victoria never really strayed far from her home, and instead saw the world through the eyes of various characters in books and in the stories her grandparents would tell her of the outside world. Her house and her family seemed to be stuck in some strange ancient time period to begin with, so the only notice Victoria took of the time warp was that she could have sworn the publishing date of her favorite book was a few years off.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

House Request: Slytherin

Personality:  Intelligent, creative, ambitious, proud, somewhat stubborn, and a bit cold to those who don't know her. Secretly a bit proud of her ability to scare others, especially when the 'others' in question are not quite of the best character. Extremely aware of socially awkward situations, viciously loyal, yet only trusts a few, and can be prickly on bad days. Doesn't give second chances, doesn't quite understand why others can't be emotionally detached from certain situations, and ultimately is an advocate for self-preservation.

Appearance:
Long, wavy brown hair, with hazel eyes. Slightly above average height, normal weight. Almost always looks like she's thinking about something.

Sample Roleplay:
Victoria seriously considered pretending she didn't hear the obnoxiously loud shouting and continuing on her way. She disliked socializing with strangers, and especially disliked socializing with strangers who happened to write for one of the most inaccurate, biased excuses for literature she had ever encountered.
Perhaps she could just turn a corner and sprint to the library, or, better yet, sneak back into her dormitory. She didn't think she recognized the girl from her table at the great hall, but then again, she didn't really care to pay attention to the frivolous comings and goings of others. However, the whispering voice in the back of Victoria's mind she had decided was probably her conscience brought her to a halt. After a deep breath, Victoria gave her reply in the cold tone she specially reserved for strangers claiming to be from the press.
"I wouldn't be particularly quick to judge the cultural habits of others, and I definitely wouldn't bring your opinion up in a public piece. I don't have an opinion formed on frog's legs at the moment, but I suggest you try to keep that article as unbiased as possible. And if you attempt to quote even a single syllable I've uttered, I will be sure to take the necessary actions to ensure the removal of the content and anything else that is deemed to be non-consensual that appears the publication."
Perhaps that was a bit harsh, but she hated nosy people, and liked nosy people trying to pass for writers even less. Perhaps someday they would talk again, but Victoria certainly didn't plan on it. She wasn't the social type, and most didn't much care for her stark honesty. Satisfied with her answer, Victoria turned her heel and strode to the library, not bothering to look back at the stranger in the distance.
