Transfiguration

Magical Weakness (pick one):
Conjuring & Summoning

Year (pick two): First and Second

Biography:
Amalthea had been in the foster system for as long as she remembered. All she ever did her whole life was run. Never had she stayed in a foster home for more than two weeks. She was never treated properly in any of the homes, and never felt accepted. This made her a dull, sarcastic and shy girl and she became an introvert. She hid her pains from all those she knew, and talked lesser and lesser each day. She had no friends, and it was seldom that anyone would be kind enough to cheer her up. Amalthea lost hope and no longer wanted to live this life.

Until one day, on her 9th birthday, a family came to take her home. She thought it would be just the same as the others. But after a living for a month with them,  Amalthea realized that she had found her family. The one which will always have her back and love her.

Since then her life has been great. To her and Ramirez family's delight, she was adopted by them. She studied in a muggle school for 2 years (until she received her Hogwarts letter) in London. Her relationship with her family became better and better each day. The once mean Amalthea was now a kind-hearted and happy girl.

She had a few ups and downs then though. Her sister, Benita Ramirez, fell seriously ill and passed away. It broke the whole family. They recovered soon after, but Amy was still heart broken. Benita and Amy had become very close after Amy was taken into the family. Amalthea again became the sarcastic and mean girl that she was before. But fortunately, over a few months, she too moved on.

Amalthea and her brother, Jackson Ramirez received their Hogwarts acceptance letter on Jackson's 11th birthday, which became a turning point in Amy's life.

House Request: Ravenclaw

Personality:
Amalthea's a shy and quite girl. She isn't much of a people person. She can be sarcastic at times, depending upon her mood. You could say she has a little temper. Some may find her a little bossy, but she doesn't mean it.

Amalthea was in the track team at her school. She loves running. Many a times she likes to go on long runs in the woods to get away from everything. Playing the piano  has been her passion since the beginning. She is very good at it but refuses to play in public or in musicals, mostly due to the fact that she's shy and prefers to keep to herself. She is also interested in photography. She has always been fascinated by nature. That's why the woods are her favorite place to be.

But above all, she loves reading and learning. Take her to a library and she will not leave without reading atleast one book. She loves to dig deeper into various subjects and try to find out as much as she can. Keeping her grades up has never been a problem for Amalthea.

Appearance:
Standing 4'8", the 11 year old is fairly tall for her age. The pale ivory skinned girl has a heart face with a softly shaped jaw, a button nose, and thin lips. Her eyes, as black as night, are hooded. She has short, dirty blonde hair which is usually messy. She has strong arms, firm hands and long legs, overall a sporty body.
Amy doesn't really care about her looks. But she is a little insecure about the scar that runs along her wrist. She doesn't like talking about it.

Option I:

The dungeons. A place eleven-year-old Evangeline had not yet travelled since her arrival at Hogwarts.

A place she really was just fine with not knowing; but it was too late. The dare had been accepted, even if it had been done in fear of being kicked out of Gryffindor, like the older girls had said she would because Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

The air changed instantly when she hit the main corridor of the dungeons. The dampness was almost too much for her and she instinctively took a deep breath to avoid the sensation of being suffocated. There was also a sour burning smell which Evangeline assumed was from many, many Potions lessons.

Further and further she walked, her steps so slow and gentle they made no noise against the stone walls and floor. The feeling that she wasn't alone crept up her spine and raised the tiny hair on the back of her neck. Shivering, Evangeline wrapped her arms around herself. Suddenly, she missed the warmth and comfort of the Gryffindor common room. The fire was always going and it made her feel at ease.

Why had she let those girls talk her into this? She was only eleven, she didn't have to be brave. Surely the Headmistress would not kick her out of Hogwarts for not being brave.

If only she had these thoughts while being dared to search for the ghost of one Emma Birch, whom supposedly haunted the dungeons. It was not, Evangeline had learned, the place where the sixteen-year-old girl's life had ended but as she had been from the house with a snake as its mascot, it was the place her spirit had returned to. That common room was down here somewhere, she'd been told.

Something - the small blonde girl wasn't quite sure what - but something made her stop in her tracks suddenly. There was a low, dull thumping noise. Or maybe that was her heart beating so loudly she thought it was coming from outside her body.

"H-h-hello?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Remembering that she was supposed to be brave, Evangeline tried again.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"

The sound of her own words bouncing back at her off the walls made her jump.

Reply:
Amalthea managed to sneak into the Gryffindor common room successfully without anyone knowing. She was planning to pull a nasty prank on the third year Gryffindor boy who had tripped her up for fun in the morning. But as soon as she was going to execute her full proof plan, she saw a few fifth year girls cornering a first year girl. She went a little close to hear what they were saying...

Amy could feel rage bubbling up inside her. How could they! She watched as they bullied the girl and threatened her to go to dungeons. She wanted to tell them off but she decided against it. It would blow her cover. Amalthea crept out of the common room being as quite as possible and followed the first year girl.
Merely catching up to the girl, Amy's footsteps echo through the hallways as she  hurriedly stumbles behind the girl.

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?" she heard the girl say afraidly. Poor girl... Amy thought, she shouldn't have come here. "Hi, I'm Amalthea. No need to be frightened, we'll get out of here as soon as we can." Amy says shyly, as she herself wasn't very good new people.

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
Amy's cat had wandered off again. Her black fur always blended into the surroundings which made it even difficult to find her. Amy was tired of going around the house searching for her almost everyday. "That's it! I'm not going to search for you anymore, Artemis!" She marches out of the house and goes for a walks in the fields.

Wandering about for a bit, Amy sees a lake, but what was intriguing about it was the fact that it was all dried up. There was a lot of heavy rainfall for the past few weeks and all the other lakes were overflowing. Amy carefully trodded over the mud and went closer to take a better look. But, to Amy's distress, she slipped over it and fell onto the wet mud. Trying to stand up without slipping again, and failing several times, she finally balanced and stood up. Amy didn't didn't quite bother about the mud, it was not new for her. She could be very clumsy at times.

Just then, she heard someone say "Do you want to play?"
Amy turned around and saw a little girl standing there with a broomstick. The girl looked quite annoyed. She looked up to see three boys playing quidditch. Smiling slightly she said, "Those boys givin' you trouble? I don't mind playing with you, what do you want to play though?"
