Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Born in the heart of New Orleans, Louisianna, Lavender Mae was the third child to Marshall and Jane Winthrop.

A wealthy lawyer and a socialite provided the best for their family, growing their own firm and various real estate properties across the country. The Winthrops had generations of law enforcement engrained in the blood, and they were damn good at it. They had three boys: Elliot, Lucas, and Adam, and two girls: Lavender and Winnie. There was no shortage of love in the southern household, despite the family trait of being hotheaded. That much was passed down from the patriarch, but Jane always dismissed it as being passionate or intense. It was something all of the children channeled into their respective careers, helping them climb to the positions they wanted, or felt they deserved. Though, truth be told, the family name surely helped.

Elliot and Lucas both worked for their father at the Winthrop & Co firm and done so since their graduation from Ilvermorny in 1954 and 1956. Adam had chosen a career with the MACUSA in 1957, and Winnie was the odd child out, choosing to play quidditch professionally in 1961. Though it had been a struggle to accomplish, eventually their parents allowed the youngest to do something different - as long as she married appropriately. Lavender was perfectly content with her ambitious career beside her brother in the MACUSA, but she soon decided to move to the UK in 1960 and apply to the Auror program.

Lavender was somewhat of a workaholic, almost always taking her work home. She was a driven, focused woman and enjoyed her job. Though her idea of fun was reading in the sand, the woman felt right at home in Manchester, wanting to stay away from the hectic life in London. Frequent trips back home brought her comfort and settled her worries about her family.

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:
Hands full with a mug of coffee and a sleek crimson red briefcase, a very obviously busy woman made her way through the various shapes and sizes of people. Blonde hair was neatly tucked in a high ponytail, bobbing as she moved quickly through the crowd. Lavender was not a woman that was typically late to any sort of meeting, whether it was personal or work related. That just wasn’t her - never was.

The woman’s mind was clouded - filled with the thoughts of the afternoon’s meetings, the files sitting on her desk, and the plant she had forgotten to water next to the window. Drats echoed through her mind, and as she went to take a gulp of her coffee, another voice cried out.

Light brown hues narrowed, her brows pushing together as she quickly looked around to see where the shrill pleas were coming from. Raising her arm above her head, quick feet moved closer without spilling the cup.

“Ma’am?” Lavender called out. “Are you hurt?”
