Oops, I wondered if that would be a problem. I've posted the ticket with the request now, so thanks for telling me where I could do that. :)

Application for Hogwarts School

→ CHARACTER INFORMATION.
Name: Zoe Dalton

Birthday: May 7th

Hometown: London, Victoria.

Bloodline: Pureblood

Magical Strength (pick one): Charms

Magical Weakness (pick one): Divination

Year (pick two): First year, Second year.

Biography:
Zoe was born on the 7th of May, to a young witch and wizard. She was the first born, and as it would turn out – the last. Being the only child of a pureblood family, Zoe soon became to think of herself as the Dalton Princess. This belief was only supported by the presents her parents and their friends constantly gave her. Growing up, as most purebred children do, Zoe was kept at home and homeschooled by her mother, rather than being sent to Muggle primary school. The days spent at home were long and boring, and filled with lessons of how to be the perfect Dalton Princess. As much as that was the title Zoe believed she deserved, she always thought that, as a princess, she shouldn’t have to abide by these stupid rules – such as how to stand, and how to properly greet a host at a party. As Zoe grew up, however, she soon realised that the only time she spent with her mother was during these etiquette lessons. Far from making her concentrate more, Zoe started to rebel – just slightly – to try and gain attention from her mother in other ways. It never worked. As a young girl, Zoe could often be found exploring and climbing trees. Whenever discovered by her mother, Zoe would always jump down from her branch, dust off her dress and smile daintily, saying ‘Oh, hello Mother. I did wonder if you would come looking for me. Since I was walking past this tree, I noticed a bird and thought I should greet it, as it is the host of this tree. It’s proper etiquette, you see.’ – A phrase that gradually grew more and more sarcastic over the years. Finally, at eleven, Zoe received her letter to Hogwarts and started getting more and more excited to leave. A castle for the princess, with no parents to tell her what to do? Brilliant.

House Request: Slytherin

Personality: Zoe is, in reality, quite a pleasant young girl. She loves to laugh, and have fun, and play pranks on as many people as possible. She wants and almost needs everybody to like her – though this does not mean that she necessarily has to like them, or even make the effort to pretend she does. Zoe could seem to many as being spoilt. However, compared to many others, she is given more presents and things she wants than many could dream of. In Zoe’s view, however, she feels herself to be neglected, and so often demands attention from those around her, getting annoyed and upset when she does not receive it. She is reasonably smart, but will only try if there is some sort of way that she can win, or prove that she is the best. Zoe is ambitious to be the best, to move away from home, and create her own perfect life. Her biggest fear is a combination of both being trapped at home, and failing. Although vulnerable just as most other people, Zoe learnt that pretending to be confident usually tricked everyone into believing it, and so this is what she does. However, it can be perceived as arrogance. Being brought up as a pureblood, the rights and wrongs of social etiquette have been drilled into her head, so naturally she stands tall and speaks eloquently, however she wants almost nothing more than to just run riot and live her life how she wants, because it’s hers to do whatever the hell she wants with, and no one else can tell her what to do, which also means she tends to say whatever she thinks.

Appearance: Zoe has dark wavy brown hair, reaching to a couple of inches below her shoulders. Her eyes are green, and nearly always encircled by dark eyeliner. A petite body, though no skinnier than is healthy, Zoe is quite short at only 5”1. For clothes, while at school Zoe will wear her uniform with pride, but generally prefers to don dresses – as despite the rebelling, almost all of her lessons stuck with her. If not in a dress she will usually be wearing shorts and a camisole, and plimsolls. It has been known for Zoe to use her height to her advantage – acting younger and more innocent than is truthful, simply to get her own way.

Blimey, the Great Hall was packed. It seemed like everywhere a guy looked there was some clown waving around a House banner or yelling about the game.

'Can you believe it?' 'No way!' 'This must be the biggest upset in Hogwarts Quidditch history...'

Stupid Quidditch.

James flopped into an empty seat at the end of the table, shoved an empty plate out of the way, and let his head sink onto his crossed arms, squishing his freckled nose down flat against the tabletop. He wasn't sure why he'd even bothered to come here, since he definitely wasn't hungry. He'd probably never eat again, in fact. He didn'tdeserve to eat. He hadn't stopped in the locker room to change out of his muddy, sweaty uniform after the game either, because he was pretty sure he probably didn't deserve to be clean too; and anyway he couldn't stand to see the looks on his team mates' faces after he blew their chance at winning one of the biggest games they had ever played.

Just one lousy shot. That's all it would have taken. If he could have just got that one stupid foul shot to go through that one stupid hoop, they could have won and he wouldn't have been the biggest blockhead in the entire school.

As if to prove the point, half the people at the next table suddenly broke into a loud victory chant. James pressed his face further into his arms to hide the bright red blotches he could feel creeping up his cheeks. That was it. He was just going to have to run away and move to Nova Scotia. He'd just cost the three-year-in-a-row Champions the Quidditch Cup! How do you ever live that one down for crying out loud? He was only a second year and he was going to spend the rest of his life as 'that dumb cry-baby kid who dropped the Quaffle!'

It felt like every set of eyes in the room was boring into him, and James couldn't stand it anymore. He jerked himself back up from the table and stomped right back out of the Hall the same way he had come in. As he stormed into the quieter hallway outside, he could hear footsteps somewhere behind him. James rounded on the sound and began to shout, his brown eyes shining with tears. "WHAT! Haven't you ever seen a loser before? Why don't you just take a picture!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From her current position in the great hall, Zoe remembered exactly why she liked Quidditch so much. It wasn’t necessarily that the boys were hot, or that she loved to watch her house thrash everyone else – though those were definitely bonus points. Nope, this was the best reason for liking a sport. The chaos it caused.

Watching everyone arguing or laughing, everybody having claimed a side – It was chaos and it was perfect. Resting her elbows on the table, and her face in her hands, Zoe continued to watch the various people in the hall, smiling just slightly.
A movement in the corner of her eye caught her attention, causing the young girl to twist slightly, just in time to see a figure stomping from the hall, still clad in a dirty muddy Quidditch outfit. Narrowing her green eyes a little, Zoe’s smile widened as she realised the identity of the stomping figure. The one who ruined his house’s winning streak. The one who everyone was talking about. The one who created this – perfection.

Quickly blowing a few kisses at her friends in way of goodbye, the girl carefully slid out from the bench and started to follow in the direction that the boy had been heading. Quickly taking a left just outside the great hall doors, Zoe found the noise and chaos seemed to melt away, as she headed into quieter territories.
After a couple of minutes she reached an empty corridor – empty apart from the boy. Smiling again, the girl began to step towards him, only for him to suddenly spin round and yell, "WHAT! Haven't you ever seen a loser before? Why don't you just take a picture!"

Zoe automatically winced at the noise. Slowly and deliberately she raised a hand to her ear, and rubbed it slightly as though in pain. That done, she lowered her hand and raised an eyebrow at the boy. “First rule of social etiquette – Don’t yell in corridors, or anywhere else, really. It’s just not good behaviour. Never let people see your breakdowns. That’s not something they’ll respect you for.”
Moving closer, Zoe glanced the boy up and down, before suddenly breaking into a smile and sticking out her hand as though to shake his. “I’m Zoe, and you are? Anyway, it’s lovely to meet you. I just wanted to say that that was a lousy shot you did. But that’s beside the point. You created this chaos and drama. That’s pretty much the best thing anybody could do for entertainment around here. You’re not half bad.”
