Biography:
Edgar Warrington moved from London to America in 1772. The quiet, but easily angered, man opened up a small hospital in Boston…  Without knowing it, Edgar brought on a legacy of practicing Healing to his children, and many grand-children.
In the late 1800’s, the Warrington’s moved to New York for their small Healing business. Later on, in the early 1900’s, Michael Warrington settled his family unit of four witches and wizards in Providence.
Here, a baby girl named Leaf Elaine was born to the Muggle Mae and the wizard Joshua. Leaf grew up in a two-story, but compact, apartment with wrought-iron stairs and exposed brick on the corner of West Minister and Ridge Avenue. As a small girl, Leaf would sit by the windows in the cozy apartment and doodle. Soon, when a love for reading developed, Leaf would sit on the window sill and flip through books. Her love of drawing stayed intact throughout the years and she would also practice her sketching there, too.
This bibliophile’s life revolved around books and drawing. Leaf enjoyed sipping mint tea and consuming the poetic words of Shakespeare. She enjoyed listening to bands on her iPod, all the while letting the tip of her pencil run across a page in her sketchbook.
When Leaf turned ten she became more involved with the workings of the small Warrington Healing business. Feeling left out on the expansive information that her father knew in the field, Leaf began reading medical books from the local library. But the Muggle tomes would never satisfy for that of a Healer’s needs. Thus, Leaf began sneaking away the texts from her father’s business. This became a trained and easy practice, leading her to late nights enveloping herself in the words of Healers by flashlight.
One gray and rainy day, Mae, her Muggle mother, sat Leaf down. Leaf remembers exactly how he placed her warm, delicate fingers on her shoulders and led her to the living room. Leaf had plopped down, crossing her legs at the ankles.
“Leaf?” Mae questioned gently. Her voice was a caress to the ears: soft and patient. Mae was a nurse at the local hospital, and used that caring voice often with her patients. Leaf was very familiar with it.
Leaf rubbed the palms of her clammy hands on her blue jeans. She must have figured out that she was stealing from her father’s stash of medical novels.
But, instead, Mae had questioned her on the plans for the future. “Think about it,” she told her. “When you father gets home, we’ll talk more.”
So Leaf retreated to the window and curled up on the sill. Her cheek fell in place against the cool glass and her hazel eyes watched the cars stream up and down West Minister. She pondered her options for a long time, though Leaf knew all along what she wanted to do with her life.
Dinner rolled around and Leaf had sat on her chair, eyeing her parents eating. Finally, she took in a deep breath, one that shook slightly from buzzing nerves, and said: “I know… I know what I want to do.”
Mr. and Mrs. Warrington looked expectantly at their daughter. Mae’s pale blue eyes crinkled as she smiled thoughtfully and Joshua’s hazel gaze was steady and calming.
Running her fingers down the side of her silver fork, Leaf blurted out that she wanted to be a Healer.
Mr. and Mrs. Warrington accepted this news with open arms and open hearts.
Sooner or later, Leaf was sent off to the Salem Institute for her first year of learning. Before parting ways with her parents, Joshua clapped a steady hand on his daughter’s slim shoulder and whispered playfully, “I knew all along about the books.”
Leaf’s first few years at Salem went by exceptionally. She excelled in her classes, for the most part, but the nice grades came with much late nights and hair-pulling. Leaf, although she’d miss her friends at Salem, welcomed the summer vacations with bubbling joy. She spent her most of vacations on the chilly beaches of the Northeast. But her favorite part of summer was helping in the Warrington Healing building.
Now, Leaf will be entering her next year of magic lessons.

Note: This section is optional, and is up to you to complete.

Society Request:
Knight

Personality:
Leaf is quiet and shy. She’s as timid as a mouse and is unable to so easily make friends like most girls. Leaf is not bubbly, nor is she artsy or funny. Thus, she was never quite interesting to her classmates. Nd she wasn’t even positive how to be the one to make the first move. How do you even attempt to carry on a conversation after “hello”? Nonetheless, Leaf was able to welcome a few friends into her circle. And they like her. She is sweet to a fault, silly, and always happy. Leaf welcomes jokes with soft giggles and sparkling eyes. She’s studious and works hard to earn her grades. Leaf is one to always look at the good, and ignore what is bad. Caring and kind, many students come to her for advice, or, at the least, a shoulder to cry on. Dependable and nice Leaf is also a bit of a day-dreamer. Focusing in her classes takes difficulty when her mind just wants to drift off to the fantasies. This day-dreaming also leads her to be quite clumsy. Many assaults against walls fill her history.
Appearance:
Leaf stands at an average height with slim, rounded shoulders and slightly long legs. Her collar bone is quite prominent and her neck is long, giving it a swan-like image. Her heart shaped-face is decorated with arched brows, a straight nose, and bow-shaped lips. She usually wears her golden hair down with a hairband. Leaf’s hazel eyes are wide and innocent-looking. They crinkle like her mother’s when she smiles and laughs. When Leaf is deep in thought, a v-shaped wrinkle carves itself between her slender brows. Leaf holds herself lightly, seemingly floating rather than walking.

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
Please reply to the Sample Roleplay below.

Leaf was thumbing through the pages of a dusty book when Simon spoke. She rubbed the edge of the worn tome. The cardboard material of the hard cover was beginning to show through the blue threading. The witch wondered momentarily what travels the book had gone through. How many students spent late nights poring of the printed text, cramming for a test the next day? Did another witch or wizard flip through these yellow pages in search of information for the same essay topic?
Leaf blinked suddenly and focused on the question at hand. Simon was just simply offering to do the work himself. Her hazel eyes drew upwards and she studied the young wizard. “But…” Leaf blushed lightly, her shyness taking control of her. She could feel it make her heart pound and her hands clammy. “That’s not fair...”
Leaf dropped her gaze to the page. Lines of black lettering stared back up at her. A sketch of a Muggle soldier sat in the upper right corner.  Her finger traced the precise lines of his boot. The artist was quite talented. Leaf pursed her lips, suddenly itching to draw. But, once again, the girl pulled herself back to the assignment.
“It’s not fair,” she repeated. “We’ll work on it together…” She blinked, blushing pinker when a sudden realization grasped her. “Unless… you don’t…” Leaf pulled on the hem of her skirt, smoothing out the wrinkles and attempting to wipe away the perspiration that had bloomed on her palms. “…Want to work with me.  Then I guess we could just split up the work. I’ll… do some paragraphs, and you’ll do the other half.” Leaf ran her fingers up her quill and waited for Simon’s reply.
