Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Any onlooker would assume the best of the Greenberg family, the doting Joshua and Jamie made sure all of their children had the best opportunities. From the outside, they looked like a very well put together, tight-knit family with a very well praised reputation. But not everything was as it appeared - every family had its secrets, discourse, and issues. Especially those as well off as the American lineage was.

Bobby Greenberg was the eldest child of the pair, adopted from a shady orphanage in the heart of New York City when he was two years old. The first couple of years as an only child were the best, as having the sole attention of his parents would make any child happy. There wasn't a want or a need that went neglected with his new family, and soon the boy didn't remember his birth parents. Even when his siblings came along, Jack and Aspen, Bobby felt whole. There were two more people to love, and he had grown to like how loud the house was when they were younger. Despite the very apparent difference between him and his family, Bobby never felt out of place until he was a teenager.

Navigating Ilvermony alone had been difficult - Jack had once been the one to sort of ground him in a sense. Despite their four-year difference, Bobby adored his brother from the first moment he laid eyes on the baby. But as the pair had grown into their own personalities, Jack had drifted away from his older brother, and had been sent away for stirring up too much trouble. Both the weight of being the heir and the 'good' child, Bobby slowly built up a wall of resentment towards his brother. He had tried so hard to be the best his parents demanded, showing his worth was far more than appearances or ‘the charity’ that other influential families whispered about.

Robert Simon Greenberg did not have time to deal with the trivial, immature issues that Jack seemed so hell bent on causing within their family. He had baby Aspen to look after and protect while the middle child was gone gallivanting all over Europe. Though the baby girl was spoiled enough, Bobby took every opportunity to continue well into adulthood. It was certainly a way to cope with the rift between him and his brother, despite him continuing to  pretend all was well between the boys.

He was there when Jack graduated both Hogwarts and Ministry training, and when Aspen graduated from Ilvermony. The family got together more than a handful times every time, making sure to be kept up to date on everything going on within their lives. All of the Greenberg children went on to different paths, but still all made their parents proud.

Bobby worked extremely hard for years in order to achieve his Vice President status of their family's company, as well as owned various properties through the southern parts of the United States and in England. He enjoyed the culture more in the United Kingdom and often stayed there most of the year. There was a small part of him that was fearful that despite all of the work he had put into his father’s company, it would be ripped away at any moment. The high societal circles their family was a part of didn’t shy away from the fact Bobby was the blood heir to the fortune. Of course, Joshua Greenberg would never let anything stop blood from his son achieving anything. But the irrational fear was still there.

The man was single but did enjoy himself more often than not. He was very picky about who he brought around his family and had only done so one time when he was freshly graduated. But soon, it would be time to really think about settling down but finding the time was proving difficult.

Roleplay:
You come across one of these posts on the site. Please select one & reply as your character:

Option One -
Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:
Another day, another dollar. Or something like that.

Bobby had been traveling to meet Aspen and Jack for lunch in London. He didn’t want another meal at the Leaky Cauldron, but the eldest child had been outvoted. He hated when they did that - especially just to spite him from getting something he wanted. Aspen definitely took enjoyment out of it and Jack, well who knew what Jack got out of it. All he knew was that he didn’t want to do it.

But Bobby Greenberg always did shit he didn’t want to do. For the sake of family.

As the man strolled down the cobblestone, he heard a cry for help. Brows furrowed as he looked around the crowds before spotting a woman on the ground. A light jog carried him to her in no time at all.

Extending a hand,”Here, let me help you up and we can fix it, yeah?”

Hi Robert,

Your application looks great, there's just a couple of things to clarify before we get you accepted.

Firstly, if Robert is currently 32, he would have been born in 1935, not 1936. If he was born in 1936, he will currently be 31, not 32.

Secondly, can I just confirm that you have permission from Jack Greenberg's player to create this character? The character backgrounds/family history are very similar, so I'm assuming that Robert is Jack's brother!

No need to repost your whole application, if you could just respond to confirm the correct age/birth year for Robert and that Jack has given permission for you to create Robert, we can go ahead and get you accepted. Thanks!
look out! look out!
