Biography: (100 words minimum.)
It was a stormy day and the twins were screeching and wailing. The children had not even been named; their mother had decided to wait one-hundred days to name them, like her adoptive parents, who were Chinese had waited with her. It was just traditional.

The woman could not handle herself, and her children. She made a choice, that while her husband was out she would go take the children to the orphanage. So, she did, except her husband had come home early and agreed with her, he'd even helped take them to the orphanage.

There was not a note, nor a name. The babes were just left there, in the tearoom at St. Mungos.

Six Years Later

The hospital staff had named the little babes, Gabriel for the boy, Lucifer for the girl. Why? As they had aged it was clear that Gabriel was more caring and sane than his sister, who was this little evil whirlwind. She caused so much trouble for everyone else - who was not her big brother. They got the last name Winchester, because Lucifer and Gabriel seemed to have come to the hospital on a day that sounded like a gun was being fired; and colt just did not sound right.

Gabriel and Lucifer hope to be adopted; everyday they go and Gabriel makes Lucifer behave as best as she can, just hoping that someone will take them in. They want to go together, they've decided, especially since Gabriel is the only person Lucifer lets touch her.

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Roleplay Response:
Lucifer stared at the other girl, her green eyes wide. She said nothing, she simply cast her gaze to the ground. She was afraid of this girl. Where was Gabriel? He had promised he would be back as soon as he got some food for them!

It was often that Lucifer was left in the park so that her big brother could go beg for food, but rare that she was left alone for as long as he had left her this time. She was crying; she often cried when left alone. She curled her arms around her small form and shook her head hard. She did not want to play! Why would she want to play?

Winchester Twins,

Thank you for your application. We are always excited to get new characters at the forum but there are some issues that we would like to address before your application is accepted.

First of all, in the site rules under character creation guidelines it says:
Quote
Please do not take names or characters directly from other books, series or movies and apply as them here. We are a roleplaying site interested in your original characters, not reinterpretations of pre-existing and copyrighted ones.
Although the names you have chosen are not exactly copies of any character in particular, there are still quite a few similarities. If you would please think of changing either the twins first names or last names, this issue will be resolved.

Secondly, we understand that your characters are twins, but that does not mean you can use the same biography twice. Gabriel is an entirely different character than Lucifer, we would like to see this in the biography. Please rewrite your profile giving us more insight on how the two are different.

Once your applications are edited and names changed please post them again in the topic. Thank you for your time, and we hope to see you rping on the site soon.

Satin was named de Carosol, because Satin seemed to fit the velvety-skinned child, with her eyes of green.

When Satin was three, she disappeared from the Orphanage for a playdate with her 'friends'. She simply followed her imaginary friends outside of the orphanage, and into the streets of London. She was found by a furious Ministry-worker, who'd been pulled off his case to come find the missing child.

When Satin was five she got free from the orphanage again. They had taken the children to Godrics Park, though Satin thought it would be fun to leave the group when they passed by Knockturn Alley. As a result, she was later found by one of the older children who had chosen to take it upon themselves to find her, with a cursed toy in her small hands. She was blue; her eyes were opened, clearly she was in some sort of shock.

She was taken into surgery as fast as they could get her to the hospital (which was pretty fast once one of the Ministry workers found them). The cursed toy had been lost during the apparation, and so, they could not determine what kind of curse she had gotten a hold of, thusforth, her surgery was done by hand [meaning they had no idea what spell to use to help her, so they did it like muggles. <<]

It should not have lasted so long, but it did. She had too many bleeders when in-surgery, and those had to be resolved to keep her alive. As a result she has a scar that goes across her throat, where her vocal cords [which were damaged during the surgery to get her throat to stop swelling] used to be. She cannot talk because her vocal cords had to be removed.

She was in a coma for a while, but eventually she woke up [seven weeks after her sixth birthday]. She now looks and depends on her big brother for everything.

x3 Jane? Do I send in a Help Desk to 1.) Have Lucifer deleted, so I can make Satin or 2.) Can they change her name for me?

Hi Satin!

First thing I've noticed is that you edited Satin's name and biography, which is wonderful. To answer your question, go ahead and submit a helpdesk ticket for the name change; one of the admins can do it. We need the helpdesk ticket because name changes require a password reset after they're complete, so we prefer you know they're coming.

There's just one tiny - teensy thing - we'd like you to address. You mention that Satin has a scar across her throat. The idea of her having no vocal chords is really interesting, and we encourage you to play that out! That said, any extensive or visible scars require a special request, which you can find here. For the time being, if you could take the reference to the scar out of the bio, we can go ahead and get you accepted.

Thanks so much for bearing with us and making the changes. You're doing great!

- Ophelie
