The family spent the next few weeks urgently saving up for the cost of the school books, as nobody really knew how much a cauldron would cost. They bought the rest of the necessary items before retiring somewhere for lunch where they discussed the upcoming school year. Mr. Fairchild seemed just as excited as his daughter and after dinner, they took a trip to the nearby sweet shop and Siobhan was slightly spoilt.

She also acquired a cat from a nearby pet shop and named it Leander, meaning lionlike, according to her Da, in Greek.

And the very next day, Siobhan and her feline companion made their way towards the Hogwarts Express.

Siobhan yawned loudly and stretched her arms out over her head.

She was exhausted and her divination homework was giving her trouble. She banged her fist against the table in agitation. She just couldn’t understand this and didn’t know why. Usually she did great in div and never had any problems before. She sighed and leaned back in her chair.

She needed to get some sleep, but then she would totally forget about her homework and the professor wouldn’t be to happy with her.

She longed to do something exiting, perhaps grab a mate for a game of chess to wake her up. But no, all of them struggled with the same homework and it was due tomorrow! She stood up and closed her book, tucking it under her arm. She didn’t understand and didn’t plan on staying up for the entire evening just to finish some stupid assignment. She’d never missed homework before she she was sure the teacher would let her off easy this time.

Well, she hoped so.

She left the library in quick strides, eager to reach her common room. Perhaps she grab something in the main hall to snack on before she went to bed. She nodded, agreeing that finding something to eat was probably the best idea she’s had since she started the homework.

“Hey!”

Huh?

Siobhan continued onwards, before turning slightly to the sound of the voice. It was defidently a female and Siobhan groaned in an attempt to block the sound of footsteps out. She didn’t feel like interacting with others at the moment and wished the girl would just understand her hint and leave.

“Wait up! It’s for the paper!”

Oh fine!

Siobhan turned, clearly annoyed and crossed her arms waiting for the girl to approach.

“What can I do for you…?” She asked, sounding bored.

“What do you think about serving frog legs at lunch? Some say it’s a delicacy, but others think it’s plain gross.”

She grimaced and stuck her tongue out. This girl had just ruined her appetite and she would be going to bed hungry.

“That sounds absolutely revolting. I mean, sure it saves money… But I doubt anyone will eat it…”

Hello darling, and welcome to HS.net!

Your profile is looking killer, and I can’t wait to get you on the boards, but there’s one small area I’d love for you to address.

In our plotline, back in 1974, there was a major event that brought the entire magic world back in time to 1937. It’s been a few years since this infamous time warp, but it’s still a very important part of many people’s lives: especially muggles. Because the time warp brought the magical community back, but no one of non-magical decent came with them.

Since Siobhan is a muggleborn and was close with her family, I imagine this would have a pretty large impact on her. I’d love to know how she handled it, who she might be living with now and how it’s affected her.

Check out this thread to learn more about the Time Warp, and the reactions of the community! Feel free to ask me any questions on PC as well, dear.

Once you’ve made the changes, repost your application as a reply to this thread and I’ll check it over again.

Can’t wait to see!

She also acquired a cat from a nearby pet shop and named it Leander, meaning lionlike, according to her Da, in Greek.

And the very next day, Siobhan and her feline companion made their way towards the Hogwarts Express.

Siobhan glanced outside of the window, tears streaking down her rosy cheeks. The taste of tears was so familiar now and she hiccupped slightly as the door opened. Da had always said his neighbors were where strange, but now she knew exactly why.

After her parents had simply disappeared without so much of leaving a letter for her. She wondered around feeling numb until she met Mr. Braeburn. He was the only familiar face she had seen since her parents disappeared. It seemed as though everyone she knew had vanished as well. All her old mates from muggle school and all her parents friends in the village. Everyone had gone and she had been left behind.

The man took her to their estate, nearby Siobhan’s own farm and explained what he could. They did not know what had happened either, only that non-magical folk had disappeared and things seemed to have moved forward. She didn’t understand and nor did she want to, her parents weren’t bad people and they would never have left her. She stifled a cry and was soon in the arms of Mrs. Braeburn who cooed her and smoothed down her hair.

The Braeburn estate was a familiar place to her. She had spent a few days there with her and she felt rather comforted there. Mr. Braeburn was a rather involved man and seemed deeply bothered by the disappearance of his muggle acquaintances. He sent enquiries out to his friends in London, but no news was received.

Siobhan moved into the spare room of the house and found it hard to settle in properly. Her things were gone and she couldn’t quite remember her clothing and where they had gone. Things were rather confusing for her and she couldn’t quite grasp a sense of time, however exhaustion took over and she fell into slumber.

Going back to school was even harder, most of the purebloods were totally unaware of what happened and simply shoved away the muggleborns sorrow, the school seemed divided and the badges made things worse. However she preferred to be at school then back in Ireland, living with strange people who had taken her in. She had even lost her little cat Leander.

It was hard to deal with, however she believed that she would come out stronger from these events and perhaps be a better person. However she refused to wear her badge and disagreed to the blood statues labeling. She had chosen a difficult path, but one she thought was right.
