CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character name: Azra Ceylant

Previous and/or Current Character(s) if applicable: Elena Jangleton, Vivian Jangleton

Character age: 35

Character education: Beauxbatons Academy of Magic

Strength and weaknesses (details please): Azra's strengths and flaws both go hand in hand. Some of her more stronger qualites include her ability to think on her feet, calm and composed and has this natural ablity to make anyone perk up with her bubbly attiude though on the flip side, this can work against her as some say she is too much of a talker and does tend to have an extremely short fuse when irritated and is rather unorganized in her errands, there is some sense to the chaos though.

Physical description: Azra' features are rather alluring though some might suspect she has some Veela heritage, this is not true. She has a shock of long black hair that reaches her shoulder with a faint red tinge to her cheeks and dark eyebrows. Her skin is a cool tan which compliments her darker features nicely and her face never ceases to stop smiling.

Personality (nice, rude, funny etc. Paragraph please.): Azra Ceylant is the embodiement of happiness. It is rare that you will not see her hopping around perhaps striking up converstation out of the blue and she is more than open to requests for aid and help going out of her way to help others. Althought, sometimes, this happy-go-lucky helpful attidue of hers can wound up having her bear more than she can manage although she refuses to let this allow her to give up. This is where you can see more of her stubborness and hot temper began to show as defeat is something she can't accept even if the situatoin seems impossible.

Hopes and dreams. Why are you teaching at Hogwarts?: Azra Ceylant seeks a role at Hogwarts School of Withcraft and Wizardy for a singular, simple reason. The Turkish woman wants to experience the differences in education between how she was taught and how it compares to another school. In essence, she sees it as a personal challenge having been exposed to more traditiontal styles of teaching back home in Turkey and France and hopes she can use some of that foreign knowledge and turn it into a useful life experience for the students she will encounter.

Biography (500 words minimum. There is never such a thing as too much.):

Born in Söğüt, Turkey, Azra Ceylant grew up in a rather prosperous town and while she had no immediate family, she resided with her grandmother. As far as Azra knew, her parents worked for the Turkish Ministry of Magic but seemingly just faded off the grid one day after the culmation of recent political tension in the area that led to a new leadership being ushered into the Ministry. Knowing full well that they wouldn't be able to reside safely within the nation due to these events, Azra at a rather young age along with her grandmother made the trek to France where they were taken in much to her surprise. Taking up a role in a tailor's shop, she eventually saved up enough to earn her a education at Beauxbatons School of Magic.

She had an illustrious school record although this streak of glory was hindered a little bit in her last year after her grandmother's passing, someone who had stuck by her side for the totality of her life and now left Azra totally alone in this brand new world. The tailor she had worked for had gone out of buisness after she had left for school as Azra was one of the few good workers who had kept the buisness afloat and now here she was, a Beauxbatons graduate and alone in the streets of France. She decided to return home for a short while but was shocked to find her citizenship there had been suspended when Azra had agreed to remain with French borders, a fact that did not sit will with the Turkish Ministry.

Lost and at the point of no return as soon after that, the French Ministry also revoked her citizenship after learning that she had willfully and intentionally traveled to Turkey, what tension the two countries had, Azra did not know but she turned to the only other major country she knew. England, managing to secure a ferry trip there by some underhanded methods, she managed to wind up in London working jobs here and there to make ends meet. She also had another purpose for visiting England as it had been rumoured, this had been her parent's last assignment before they had gone missing so maybe Azra could find some clues here.

Using this as her primary motivaton and skulking around for clues, her graudation from a wizarding school also made her an ideal canidate for any Ministry so Azra decided to try her luck and shoot for a role within the Ministry. The first two times, she was denied due to still being recent within the country but the third application granted her a spot within the Department of International Magical Cooperation serving as a diplomat and advisor as her Turkish heritage was highly sought after and Azra served more than happily in this role as a bridge to Turkey and it's surrounding countries on the national stage in any matters concerning England.

Now, a senior employee for the department, Azra still has no leads on her missing parents and is hoping to use her influence as an advisior in an attempt to regain her citizenship back home though the idea of such a thing happening is less than ideal and only time will tell if either France or Turkey will accept her again with open arms.

SAMPLE ROLEPLAY
(Please respond to to this in third person past tense. Do not write the other characters' reactions. Only your own.)

It was the largest office in Hogwarts and, perhaps to students and newcomers, the most intimidating. The shelves were filled with various odds and ends, with a place of honor for the Sorting Hat, and the walls held all the portraits of past Headmasters and Headmistresses.

In the middle of the room sat a large desk. Everything was in order, for the current occupant had always despised a messy desk. It was the sign of a messy mind, and she had always favored neatness.

A clock sat on the desk, which currently showed the time to be 2:05. The meeting was supposed to begin at 2:00 precisely.

Along with order, Anneka valued punctuality. She was a very busy woman these days. Even during the summer, she had a number of matters to attend to. Interviewing and hiring staff was only of those matters. The newest potential member of her staff wasn't making a good impression.

She paced the room, black heels clicking against the stone floor. When the door finally opened, Anneka turned, her expression reminiscent of a Russian winter. "You are late."

Explain yourself was what her face said.

Roleplay Response:

Azra didn't need the comment to know she was late.

She knew it the moment her watch had shrieked at her. She knew it the moment she had tumbled out of bed still silently cursing. Hell, the woman knew it the minute she had taken a glance out the window and saw the streets flooding with people. She had been due for an appointment at Hogwarts for a Professor post and Azra was not making a very good first impression.

As the woman tumbled through the door, her hair still in the process of sorting itself, the Headmistress's words caused her to pause a bit before she conjured up a smile. That stare however, Azra certainly didn't want to be on the recieving end of that anytime soon. "My apologies, Madam. It will not become a habit, I assure you." She replied hoping it would do something to alleivate her concern.

In one hand, she had a folder tucked beneath her arm which contained all of her paperwork, documention and necessary relevant materials for this interview though frankly, all of that would be for naught if she was thrown out on the spot for being late. A few flipping minutes, that was all it had been.

Of course, it had to be this very day that everything went to hell in a handbasket. "Better late than never, no?" An attempt at some humour, though whether humor would work on this woman was beyond Azra. This person held the fate of whether she got hired or not so she had to tread carefully here.

"Last time, I promise." Pinky promise, cross her heart, whatever. Why couldn't anything go right for once?
