Biography:Growing up in Los Angeles was like a dream. At least that’s what Amber thought. Between her and her oldest sister there was never a boring moment.  She first manifested her abilities when she was eleven when she made her sister float. After that her parents decided to have her privately tutored until they felt she was ready. 
Growing up Amber pretty much did as she pleased however, she was never bratty. She was always taught to respect others and not see people only for their differences. It’s because of this Amber never felt the need to conform to societies standards. As a result she dressed like a boy and even acted like one.

Amber’s sunny personality earned her a lot of friends in L.A. and made her popular among her peers. Her dorky antics earned her the title of resident goofball and her strange chewing habits are the reason she was nicknamed “Llama”. Her sister, when she would visit home, would tell Amber all types of grand stories of traveling the world and Amber would listen filled with wonder.

As she grew older her wanderlust grew just as well. It eventually led her to begging her parents to send her to Hogwarts to let her experience life outside of Los Angeles. Her parents quickly agreed, not wanting their daughter to feel they are stifling her dreams, and sent her to finish her studies at an actual school.

When she first arrived the new sites, sounds and people she met amazed her. Though she seemed aloof and scatterbrained she quickly changed peoples with her personality and study habits. Her time went without a hitch for the most, except for dress code violations. Though she never rebelled, per se, she refused to wear the girls school uniform. In her own defense she felt more comfortable wearing boys clothes and felt that the girls uniform was too revealing. The only dark cloud that loomed over Amber was her questioning sexuality. Though many people assumed what they wanted about her, based on appearance, she never denied or confirmed anything. She has kept her questions and confusions to herself and is content to keep them there for as long as she can.

Appearance: She has short hair, styled like a boy, that she dyes different colors every once in a while. She has earrings and deep whiskey brown eyes. She's pale but during the summer she tans easily. She favors boys clothes because they are extremely practical and quite comfortable.

The Dungeons... dark, smelly, creepy and all together unpleasant. It was the last place you'd expect to find a bubbly 16 year old but yet there was Amber roaming around without a care in the world. she had been in Hogwarts for a solid two months and had barely ventured into the dark chasm.

The first thing that hit here was the smell. It reminded her of when her mother forgot to throw out spoiled left overs from their fridge. the second thing that hit her, literally, was the wall.

She scrunched up her face as she held in growl.

"That's why you use lumos you idiot."
, she scolded herself. She quickly took out her wand and whispered said spell through gritted teeth.

The darkness dissipated under faint blue light. Amber glared at the wall and kicked it a few times as her form of "revenge". When she had finished her childish antics she heard a small voice call out from somewhere in the Abyss,

"H-h-hello?"

Amber cocked an eyebrow and she took a step forward, only to trip on a risen piece of stone, effectively landing face first. Luckily she had fast reflexes and caught herself before she damaged her handsome face,

"Oh you've got to be kidding me."
, she scowled as she got up dusting herself off. Her attention was caught by the same small voice,

"Hello! Is Emma Birch here?"


, Amber giggled,
 "No there isn't an Emma Birch here...but there is an Amber Liu!"

First of all, on our site, we do not allow the use of names that belong to celebrities or characters from other series; similarly, we do not allow roleplay of celebrities or characters from other series. Secondly, I'm a little curious as to why Amber wanted to go to Hogwarts specifically. What drew her to Hogwarts? For instance, did anyone she know attend the school and praise it in front of her? If you could expound on her reason for wanting to attend Hogwarts, that'd be great! The more we know about her story, the better.

Thirdly, I'm also curious about Amber's crossdressing and its effect on her life. As you know, the era we are in was much more conservative than our present era, even in the more tolerant USA. Did Amber experience anything negative as a result of her crossdressing? I imagine that more than a few people would’ve looked past her wonderful personality and only seen her for her unconventional appearance. If you could talk about this a little more, that would also be lovely!
