Biography: (100 words minimum.)
Karina was born to her mother and father in a quaint home near the outskirts of London. Her father worked at the Ministry, while her mother stayed at home and took care of Karina. They were an average family, living their normal lives. Karina loved nothing more than to play with friends and lead a carefree life. She was oblivious to the war around her.

She had always loved to watch her older family members and friends do magic, and she was especially pleased when it led her to getting something she wanted. Her one dream was to go to Hogwarts and become a witch just like her mother and her aunts and grandmothers, and basically any other witch in the family.

The day of the slide had been nothing that special.  It had just been a normal New Years eve. Karina had been seven or eight at the time, and thought nothing of it. As 1974 became 1937, all the Karina felt was different was that she was having trouble remembering details she once could describe easily.

Now, Karina lives as if she had always lived in the 30's. While she couldn't remember everything she did before the slide, she was happy to be alive, despite the war against the purebloods and the muggle borns. Karina was excited for the new year, a new start.

Karina was taught to ignore the muggle borns,  and to outcast them from her group of friends, Karina had no problems with them. They were still people, and as long as they were nice to her, she didn't care who their parents were, especially since most of them didn't have any.

Karina still wanted to go to Hogwarts, especially because she still had the hopes of becoming a great witch. She could not wait to get the letter telling her what to buy down in Diagon Alley. Even though life for the adults seemed tough, Karina was sure she was ready for it.

Roleplay:
Reply as your character to the following:

Godric Park.

Overhead, the sky was a crisp blue, for once clear of the ever-pervasive spongy clouds and rain. The sun was a lemony-yellow presence, high in the Eastern sky, and in front of it zipped three broomsticks in a straight line, or something very like one. One... two..... three... the boys passed, their shouts of excitement echoing as they chased the snitch, a tiny shimmer reflecting the sunlight.

Far below was another, much smaller broomstick.

It trugged along the ground, hugging close to it like a sluggish choo choo train and occasionally shuttering in protest. This was because said stick was currently being occupied by a very small girl who was tugging upward on the front of it with all her might, trying to coax it into doing what it had been expressly designed NOT to do.

"John, I said wait up!" The tiny girl squealed, giving the broomstick another tug.

Begrudgingly, it drifted upward a foot, and then sank, depositing the troublesome girl safely on the ground. Janey Hurst was not pleased. In a huff, she hopped off the toy safety broom, grabbing it firmly and thrusting it handle first into the turf.

Her brother was such a beast. He NEVER let her play! She folded her arms, seething blue eyes fixing on another figure nearby.  "You!" She barked, much more sharply than she meant to.

"...Do you want to play?"

Karina looked up from the flower crown she had been making. "M-me?" she asked. She was always shy around new people, and the fact that this girl didn't seem too friendly didn't help that. Looking back up, she saw the stand where the public use brooms stood, and the childrens' brooms happened to be in stock.

"Um... sure." Karina replied to the much younger looking girl. The child seemed maybe five or six, seven at the most. Karina remembered when she was as young as the little girl was. Having no siblings, Karina spent most of her days reading or watching her mum do basic chores with magic. She was still bored, however, as she barely talked to other children her own age. Karina felt like one year was too long to wait to go to Hogwarts, considering that she had only just turned ten a few months ago.

Riding around the park, she caught her train of thought back from when she was sitting by the flowers. Hogwarts these days overthrew any other thoughts that could possibly flutter around in her brain. She couldn't help but be amazed by the stories her mother and father had told her about the school. The time couldn't come fast enough for young Kari.

"I think I have to go now," Karina said, trying to make an excuse to leave the park. She felt awkward playing with a girl that was barely old enough to go to any sort of school. She started to walk off, intent on getting out of sight before the young girl could protest.
