Biography: (300 words minimum.)

Brandy was a fighter from the start.

After being the reason of a emergency c-section for having an umbilical cord wrapped around herself, right from the start of life had she fought her way through. The bond between herself and her mother was a strong union that was formed the second they were placed together in the hospital room. Her paternal father hadn't shown up until fifteen minutes had passed, time eventually revealing his hidden affairs and  making Brandy's mother demand their daughter carried her maiden name, causing yet another rift between the married couple.

Brandy didn't remember much of her father, only sitting on the steps to their Chicago home as her mother shouted and slammed the last cardboard box into the trunk. A (then) five year old Brandy Thompson could still remember picking at the band aid on her knee from falling out of a tree earlier, asking her mom to draw hearts with sharpie on top as she was loaded into their transportation, divorce papers tossed at her father's face and driving away from that little home in the inner city of Illinois.

The Thompson girls were sent off to reunite with her mother's english side of the family. Brandy wasn't too familiar with magic until they rolled into the beautiful london townhome of her grandparent's estate, a large sheep dog barking to greet them and magic rearranging silverware back into their rightful cupboards. Life from then on was nothing unusual to Brandy as she then knew nothing other than magic with her pureblood grandparents teaching her all she could know until she came of age to go study at Beauxbatons.

Brandy spent her next seven years of education learning from the pristine and proper professors at the beautiful french academy. There had been a debate on whether she should attend Hogwarts or Beauxbatons, following either her mother or her grandmother's steps. But in the end, her grandmother was able to convince Brandy's mother and steered her career towards the french lifestyle.

Her grandmother believed with establishing a well mannered appearance and charming personality, there would be no doubt Brandy's blood legitimacy could be overlooked and perhaps she could slide her granddaughter into the elite lifestyle both herself and her husband lived, having brought up their daughter the same way.

Brandy's mother didn't agree with the mentality and thought too much pressure like the one she had endured at the same age would be something she didn't want her daughter to experience. The two moved out of the lavish townhome into a smaller flat for just the pair to occupy. Brandy switched out piano skills and dinner etiquette for something more important and challenging; law.

The young woman drove into the interest of the Ministry and all it's power, how each branch functioned and where she wanted to make a difference. After graduating from Beauxbatons by acing all her examinations with grace and set off to settle herself within the Ministry.

In many ways, Brandy wanted to make a difference. The passion for helping others and correcting criminal behavior soon turned desperate as her mother found herself diagnosed with a terminal illness, causing Brandy to dive herself into a deep work load at such an early age in order to create a decent income to support both herself and her mother.

Now those habits slowly have formed into a workaholic mentality with the occasional yearn for useless male attention, something she lacked much of her childhood and never seemed to find that "spark" her mother would tell stories during her childhood.

Option Two -
The snow had been falling steadily all morning and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon. Joshua Campbell scrunched his face up in a frown as he lifted his gaze to look to the sky. Snow. It really was quite a bother.

And it certainly didn't make it better that Diagon Alley seemed to be getting more and more crowded. Joshua sighed and pointed his wand at the large box that was currently placed on the doorstep of his shop. He had to get going. He had an order to deliver.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" The elderly man muttered and watched the box hover in the air for a moment. Honestly, did St. Mungo's really need that much tinsel? And with glitter of all things? He sighed again. If it hadn't been for the rather convincing stamp on the order, he would have been likely to believe it had been a prank by one of those orphaned rascals living up there.

Oh well, there was no point in waiting. Joshua deftly stirred the box down the doorstep and out onto the street, carefully levitating it above the heads of the crowd.

"Coming through! Coming through!" His voice sounded over the chatter of the crowd. "Keep out! Move ahead! Go on!" This was going way too slow. People were in the way and walking like they had all day! He huffed. Luckily the road was down hill.

"Coming through! Coming th--- arrrgh!" Joshua let out a loud shout as his feet suddenly slipped in the snow and sent him, the box, and several long strands of tinsel tumbling into the person who had been walking in front of him.

"For Merlin's sake!" Joshua muttered angrily as he hurried to his feet again, red and gold tinsel now decorating his black coat. "I am so sorry! This blasted snow!" He looked apologetic at the person he had crashed into.

Roleplay Response:

Hot mug of a gorgeous dark roast nestled between her hands as Brandy weaved her way through the crowd. She was used to the crowd by now, knowing it was around that popular time that people began to shop and take lunch shifts.

She had timed it perfectly, leaving herself a good twenty minutes before she had to be back and clocked in, making the coffee in her hands and the small paper bag of scones even more enticing to properly sit down and enjoy.

What Brandy hadn't timed was the incoming snow, causing a chilled breeze to brush through her body and make her clench her teeth. As her hand reached up to adjust her dark maroon scarf around her neck, a sudden voice shouting behind her drew closer and closer until her body was shoved forward.

A gasp escaped her lungs as she narrowly dodged falling flat on her chest, using her legs to dart out and create some sort of stability. The coffee in her hand only rocked inside the cup as she turned wide-eyed towards the perpetrator.

"Here let me help-" Instantly she bent down to softly brush off his coat with her hand, free fingers plucking up at the tinsel to place back inside the box.

Her eyebrow raised at the sight of the colors, tilting her head to briefly question.

"Birthday party?"
