Biography:
Adults did a lot of annoying things in his opinion. They asked questions that they should know the answer to. They talked about children like they were not even in the room, and of course what bothered him the most was when they were silent. When they simply looked at him with this pained and hesitant looks. They wanted to say something, but whatever they did say was not what they wanted.

He disliked it when adults did that.

He disliked it even more when his parents did it. What was worse is that they did not even talk to each other about it. It was bad enough that they spoke about him like he was not there sometimes, but now they were having silent conversations that he did not understand. He could make assumptions about what it was about. They always looked at him when he entered a room, his father’s look shifting from something filled with distress to a stern gaze. While his mother looked concerned. It was odd, he did not like it.

They were not acting like themselves.

It had started since he had come home from Hogwarts during his third year. He supposed that was why they were treating him like he was made of glass. He loved them, but he wished they realized that he was not stupid. He understood what death was. He understood what murder was, but his parents seem to think not talking about it would somehow help. It never did help but he supposed adults forgot what logic was as they got older.

Or perhaps they had other reasons, he did not know but he did not care. He was tired of them simply avoiding the subject. Tired of them attempting to keep him sheltered from harm, when that was definitely not how he was raised. His questions were always answered, even if he had to pry. His father and mother allowed him to make his own mistakes, and they were always fair when his mistakes had caused more harm than intended. Yet, this was not fair to him.

It was better that he was no longer in the house with them. He had given them a year to figure out what to do with him, and in the end he would make the decision for them. He had sent in his application for the camp, and they had accepted him. He now only had to leave the house and get moving. The Knight bus would get him to the station at least, and he had enough galleons to pay for that trip. So, all that left was leaving the house without his parents knowing.

Which was slightly a problem considering he had a few incidents over the year that had caused them to be even more cautious. His meeting with the Hexenreich had been reported (both times), that and him unable to properly channel his magic through his wand, and then well…

There were a lot of reasons why they wanted to keep him home and made sure he could not get out without them knowing, but there were ways. Especially since his new caretaker was now a house elf. Dwiv was quite fun to be around with, and was ordered to make sure that Adam stayed inside and was safe. Problem with that, was that the orders were vague enough that Adam could figure out a way to confuse it. He generally was not the sort you’d consider would have a plan on outsmarting people, but he could do it if it was necessary.

And it was necessary that Adam get out of the house, and be back at Hogwarts.

One roundabout conversation with the house elf later that evening, while his parents were working, he now found himself out on the road. Wand raised, and head held high. Shaking off the guilt of tricking Dwiv, and the fact that his parents will be distressed once they realize he was gone.

He would prove them he could handle this.

House Request: Gryffindor?

→ SAMPLE ROLEPLAY.
He was down in the dungeons in an attempt to find Oliver. It was somewhat difficult attempting to get back into the rhythm of going to structured classes again, but he had Oliver. Oliver at least could help him focus slightly, or not get into trouble. Oliver was also there in case he forgot to write down the homework, which he had so now he was attempting to find his friend to know what that homework was.

He supposed he could also ask someone else in the same class, but the first things friends did for each other was to help each other. Still, he had been unsuccessful. Oliver was not there, and he had about two hours to find out what the homework was so he could scrape something together. Then again he could just attempt to put something together anyways, and say he tried his best. As he thought about his options, he was suddenly interrupted by the sound of a small voice, calling out for a name that...

He froze in his steps. Blinking for a moment, before continuing his steps towards the girl. Coming out from around a corner he blinked as he saw the owner of the voice. His brow furrowed before he gave a shake of his head, "You won't find her here..."

Not physically or spiritually to the best of his knowledge. Most ghosts like to haunt the places that they died, because that was their strongest memory. He supposed it was good to look at the Slytherin Dungeons, but he had not heard any rumors that she was here either. If she was, then he would have been the first to talk to her. Still, he'd help if she wanted it. "You'd probably find her in the Transfiguration room if you really want to find her..." He blinked at her with his brown eyes for a moment before giving a smile, "I'm Adam," His hand shot out to take hers in a handshake, "You wouldn't happen to know what the potions homework was?"
