Biography: (300 words minimum.)
Perfect, everything had to be perfect.  Alexander was raised to be perfect, groomed to be the perfect Knightlock.  His family believed they were royalty, and he was the crown prince.  All the responsibility of the family would eventually fall to him.  So Alexander was perfect.  He had gone to Hogwarts, graduating at the top of his class, receiving top marks on his OWLs and NEWTs.  He had even played quidditch, though he had no love for the game.  Young wizards were expected to play quidditch, and perfect Alexander had to meet those expectations.

After graduation, he went on and, at his father's insistence, apprenticed to a healer, devoting himself fully to it, and eventually becoming one himself.  He had never wanted to be a healer, he had always dreamed of being a chef, but Knightlocks, did not serve.  Knightlocks were members of noble professions, and he was a Knightlock.  After becoming a healer Alexander's father wanted him to do some charitable work, that it would be good for the family image of Alexander went out to do good deeds.  Alexander, being the dutiful son, agreed and found a position at a run down hospital in the Soviet Union, providing care to poor Russian Wizards.  It worked well for him, he had an arrange marriage that he had been avoiding, and if he were in the Soviet Union, it would be that much harder to perform the nuptials.

When news of his father's...departure, for lack of a better word, reached Alexander he was not entirely sure how to act.  He had spent his life up to this point practically idolizing the man.  Alexander had followed each of his father's instructions to the letter.  His entire life had been all for the family, as his father's had been, or so he thought.  The shame of it kept him away for months, temporarily adrift in a sea of confusion.  What did this mean for Alexander, was everything he had done up until now for some useless endeavor? If the family meant that little to father, was it all just some cruel joke played on his son?  On everyone.

The family was a kingdom, and Alexander was the crown prince, no, now he was King.  While his father had abdicated his responsibilities to the family, that would be Father's shame, not Alexander's.  He had been raised to be king.  He would not allow someone else to run his kingdom.

It was impossible for Dianne to stay out of trouble. It wasn't that she was looking for trouble, it's just that trouble always managed to find her. Today she wished she could find something equally familiar but more comforting.

The five-year old girl hugged her puffskein closer to her and brushed her face in its soft fur for comfort. She had named him herself and he was always her special pet. No she was certain she had never gone down this side street before. Her anxiety increased every second as darkness fell as she walked down the road. A loud noise came to her left and she buried her face in her pet's fur completely. The scared girl bolted the opposite way slamming the both of them into the wall of the nearest building. Tottering back a few steps she found a door a few feet to her right and ran to open it. What light there was inside spilled out into the darkness and she spilled into the room.

Once in, she was caught between the impulse to curl her cloak up more tightly around her and loosen her grip on it. She wasn't alone anymore but she was now among strangers instead, which was nearly as terrifying. Her puffskein had recovered from the shock of the wall and now was purring contentedly as the girl hugged it, causing a mildly calming effect on the girl. Gathering her courage, she marched up to the nearest person, pulled on the nearest clothing hem and blurted out in a loud voice:

"I'm lost and it's dark and I wanted to know where I am but I'm not scared but I am worried that Sambundeakin is scared because he's little and needs something to eat and wants to go home."

She paused to draw a breath in her nearly never-ending sentence, "He misses my and his mommy."

To explain the scared girl held up the custard-colored puffskein. Sambundeakin the puffskein, however simply purred as if nothing on earth was wrong in the world.

Roleplay Response:
Slience fell over the dark room of men as a little girl burst in, an babbled something about her puffskein being hungry and scared.  Alexander looked around to the assembly, who would have preferred to have not been seen.  There were were ministry members; heads of prominent families, like Alexander himself; and an assortment of others here, all lobbying for some particular purpose or desire.  Each had come to the shadowy backroom of a seedy looking London bar hoping to either give or receive money in exchange for favors, the true currency of power.  Every other member of their group looked ready to bolt at the appearance of the little girl.  Cowards, Alexander thought, and plastered his most compassionate smile on his face.

He knelt down to the girl, trying to look as kind as he could.

"Well, if he is scared and hungry, lets see that he gets home and gets some food." Alexander extended a hand an gently pet the pufskein.

"Darett," Alexander's voice had a sterner, more commanding tone.

With a crack, his personal elf apparated beside him, already in a low bow and awaiting his instruction.

"Take her to the front, see that she is fed, and then see that she gets home.  We wouldn't want her to...remember...such a bad experience."

"Yes master." The elf spoke, then quickly escorted the girl out of the room.

The instruction was clear,  she was not to remember seeing any of them.  Darett would accomplish this task.

"Well gentlemen," Alexander said returning to his seat, "Shall we continue?"

seeing that death, a necessary end,
will come when it will come."
