Biography:

Early Life

Marilyn-Rose Wilson was born to the Wilson family, on April 15th, her family already consisted of Carolyn, her older sister- who was four at the time. The Wilson family run a cafe, and second hand bookshop, they make their own pastries and use their own coffee recipe.

During the first few years of her life, Marilyn grew up, sharing a room with her sister. The family had a three-bedroom house, but the third bedroom was a study, and the girls room was big enough to share the two of them. Marilyn and her sister got on famously, Carolyn liked to look after her sister, using Marilyn as her personal doll.

Then, when Marilyn-Rose was six, her younger sister, Dorothy, was born. This changed everything about her life, Marilyn and Carolyn both lost a lot of their freedom, as they looked after their little sister. They also lost a lot of their toys, and their mother became more and more tired. Eventually, the two girls started to work in the café, waitressing, or being baristas. Or, they would babysit Dorothy.

Accidental Magic

The first signs that she was a witch happened before Dorothy was born, when Marilyn was three. The family often visited the seafront, and Marilyn and Carolyn would play together in the surf, not too deep, though, as the sea could be very rough. However, their parents would be happy with the two girls wading in the water. If she really concentrated, Marilyn could make starfish appear at her feet.
At the age of nine, Marilyn was capable of making rare species of crabs and starfish gather around her.

Pre-Hogwarts

After Dorothy’s birth, Marilyn became more and more unnoticed, being the middle child. She didn’t seem to share Dorothy’s angelic looks, or Carolyn’s goddess like appearance. Her accidental magic was the only thing that really stood her out, well, that and her ability to make the most incredible coffee.
Up until she got her Hogwarts letter, Marilyn kept her accidental magic to herself, knowing that nobody would believe her. The Wilson’s were incredibly amazed to find out their daughter was a witch.

Option 2:

That rat of his was in for it now.

The gray little rascal had disappeared from his clutches at breakfast. Again.

Before Hugh even knew what was happening, Merlin had shot across the floor, somehow managing to avoid all the feet walking across the hall and had escaped through the open doors.

Which meant that Hugh was now stomping through rows of flowers and other various flora, searching for the small creature. It was like the rat knew Hugh was allergic to most flowers. Merlin always chose to run to the gardens whenever he got away from Hugh. It was as if the rat did not want to have him for an owner.

Hugh had named his pet Merlin because he had hoped the powerful name would give the rat more incentive to be more than a rat. Not that he expected Merlin to change into a wizard or anything, but rats were just so...useless, for the most part. With a name like Merlin, Hugh thought it might give the rat purpose.

The only purpose Merlin seemed to have was getting away from Hugh as often as possible.

As the fifth year trudged into the second row of flowers, not taking much care to avoid trampling the first row, he felt the first sneeze building up pressure in his nose and behind his eyes.

"You blasted rat! Where are you?"

He pulled apart a section of bright red flowers; he didn't know what they were called because he despised flowers, and ducked his head low to peer into the depths of the flowerbed. It was moving closer in proximity to the flowers that finally did it. Hugh took in three great breaths and then let out an almighty sneeze. It was strong enough to disturb some of the dirt on the ground before him.

Groaning, he stood up again and wiped his nose on his sleeve. It was as he was turning his head, his nose running up and down his arm, that movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention. Normally one who preferred to put his best face forward, Hugh was a bit embarrassed to be caught wiping his runny nose on his robes.

Nevertheless, Hugh put on his best haughty voice. albeit a bit thickly with his plugged nose and said, "Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

How had she ended up in the greenhouse? This school was so huge, and complicated! She wasn’t complaining, though, she liked the greenhouses, they were peaceful, and full of such beautiful flowers!
She frowned as she heard the sound of stomping, but it came from the... flowerbeds?
Marilyn-Rose decided to follow the path of bent flowers, she pulled herself up on the planter, and walked over the bent flowers, as she looked at the person causing the damage- it was a boy, who was clearly older than her. She heard him yell, “You blasted rat! Where are you?”
So, he was looking for his pet, she could help him! The young girl started to look for a small rat, not very well, but hey, at least she was trying!
She watched as the boy pulled over a section of vibrant red flowers, the boy let out a loud sneeze. It was so loud, almost echoed around the greenhouse. She instantly felt worried about the older boy, whether or not he was well. She watched, smiling, as he stood up again, and he wiped his nose on his robe sleeve.
The boy looked surprised to see Marilyn, and looked slightly embarrassed, before he pulled himself up. “Can I help you with something? It is not polite to stare."

Marilyn was sad to be caught watching the boy. “I’m sorry.” She said, quietly, as she blushed. “I was wondering if you needed some help? I’m good with plants, and with animals. You don’t have to push the flowers down like that…” She was waffling on, and she knew it. Her cheeks had turned bright red.
