Ebba Bramblebury (To be Hogwarts Student)

Biography: (300 words minimum.)

Muggleborn.

The word was almost spat out of the mans lips, for he was utterly disgusted. His son, his pureblood son, had brought home a female tainted with non magical blood and was unworthy to even step inside the doors of his manner. He glared at the girl before him with cold eyes before simply speaking one word.

“Out.”

She did not go back to the house, nor did she see the boy again for he was pure and she was not, she was a disgrace to the wizarding community, a freak in the eyes of some. The gene had infected her and there was nothing she could do about it, perhaps it would have been easier if she had not been born a witch, she could have lived the life of an oblivious muggle without any knowledge of magic and scoffing at the idea. But on her eleventh birthday, she had received the letter from Hogwarts, beaming at the idea that she was a witch, a supernatural creature.

Her parents where beside there selves with pride, puffing out their chest as they accompanied her to Diagon Alley for the first time. It was a miracle that a witch had been born into their family and they considered themselves extremely lucky to be included in the world that had always been hidden to them. Bianca had always been a bright child, but they had never expected her to do such great things as to preform real magic, that they had only know existed in a fairy tale. She was the real deal, without all the moles and warts.

She had been sorted into Hufflepuff and was beside herself with happiness, yellow had always been her favorite color and she was determined to make her new house proud. Her fellow house mates where friendly to her and she discovered that many of them came from families such as hers, simple people who worked an honest job in the muggle community. She was thrilled not to be the only one and settled in wonderfully. She did excellently in her classes and was a favorite to many of the teachers, however some students dislikes that fact about the girl.

She was not popular around the pureblood’s, however managed to make some friends with the non elitist ones. She was well liked by many, and a pleasant girl to be around. She helped out where she could and had a pretty peaceful life throughout school. However, during her last few years, an event took place that she could not understand and her family had vanished. Her memory could not quite grasp what had happened and things changed drastically for her. She was forced to drop out and find a job, as she was nearly eighteen and did not want to be shipped away to a children’s home, in her opinion she could look after herself.

Work was tough, but she managed to find a job as a waitress in a nearby pub, it was not a pleasant job, however she managed to get through it until she could afford herself an apartment in downtown London. She began to study and often took trips to the nearby library, interested in learning what she had missed during her last year. She managed to find another job as a private music teacher and gave lessons to those who paid. She excelled at the piano and earned a decent salary by giving lessons to pureblood children. She planned to open herself a music school, however things weren’t very easy for muggleborn’s. Once the badge system was introduced, finding a job became harder and people was not interested in her lessons once they discovered about her tainted blood statues.

Alone and desperate, she now struggles to pay her rent and is looking for a job in Diagon Alley.

Roleplay Response:
She was job hunting.

Strolling from store to store inquiring about a position that she might be fit to fill, however nobody seemed that interested in a young woman who was muggleborn. She was almost tempted to leave the walls of Diagon Alley and hunt around London in muggle stores. The idea didn’t seem to bad, however she had no job expiriance and no diplo to show them, they’d think she was absolutely bonkers if she showed up with her letter from Hogwarts. She sighed, loudly, and received a glance from a nearby woman smoking a cigarette.

She had finally retired to a nearby coffee shop and dug in her pockets for some change. She could really do with a cup of something hot and caffeine filled. After deciding on something, she ordered a black coffee and waited, sitting by a nearby table. She observed the people that pushed around the alley, it was packed, as one could expect on a Saturday afternoon, but she honestly was in no mood to be fighting for space to walk around there.

She leaned her arm against the table and held her head up, her ginger hair fell down her shoulders in loose curls. She had planned on cutting it, however she never seemed to have the heart to do it. She had always had long hair and the thought of getting rid of it saddened her. Her mother had told her that she had always acted like a lady, she had never left the house without her skirt and high heels and always looked her best. Perhaps that was why the boy seemed to enjoy being around her in Hogwarts.

Things where so much different now, after her family had vanished without even saying good bye, she had been devastated and could not bare to finish school with her grief hanging over her like a shadow. It was difficult and she worried about what she would do with her life now, marriage wasn’t even as solution as nobody seemed interested in a money tight muggleborn. She clenched her teeth before downing her coffe and leaving, putting the change on the table for the waiter.

She wanted to go home, she was exhausted. She did not feel like fighting for space to walk and having people looking down at her. She was so lost in thought that she never noticed the man in front of her until it was to late and she was covered in tinsel. She looked like Christmas and almost laughed until she noticed the man who had tripped, she tilted her head and quickly offered him her hand. He seemed embarrassed enough and she smiled slightly to ease his nerves.

"I am so sorry! This blasted snow!"

She answered quickly, “Oh, its not problem. It’s a miracle that I haven’t fallen yet. Let me help you clean up.”

Miss Chevalier,

Thank you for your application to Hogwarts!

We are very excited to have you here, and everything looks good, except one thing which is your level request. We have a rule that your lowest level can not be less than half your highest. Since you put Charms as 12, your lowest level (Transfiguation), should be at least 6.

If you can please fix this, we will be happy to process your application.
