The Warwicks

Yes, everyone’s name begins with “E”

The Warwicks are a halfblood family that lives in a cottage settled in Clifden, Ireland. Not particularly notable, the Warwicks are an average family in all respects. They are not poor, though with five children money can be a bit tight. Everybody shares a bedroom with one other person and hand-me-downs are a necessity. They are close, but tensions can run high with so many people under one roof.

adoptables

Edwin Warwick
57 | Paul Rudd | Hufflepuff | Farmer or Fisherman
OPEN

Edwin is a hard worker with a heart of gold. He is always willing to help someone out, even if it is an inconvenience for him. Whether someone needs a hand or some extra cash, he will go out of his way to make sure the people he cares about are taken care of. He also has a unique sense of humor. He was the one who came up with the idea to name all of his children with “E” names because he thought it was funny that Eileen and he shared the same first initial.

Eileen Warwick
 54 | Julia Stiles | Ravenclaw | Teacher
OPEN

Eileen has always been a strong and outgoing woman. She spent her days at school breezing through classes and chatting in the halls. If you didn’t know her, you certainly knew of her. She is whip-smart, incredibly patient, and motherly to all. She will go the extra mile for her students, ensuring that everyone is on the same page with her lessons. She is strict with both her students and her children, but she truly does want the best for them.

Elizabeth Warwick
29 | Zoey Deutch | Ravenclaw | Ministry Employee (Unspeakable)
TAKEN

Elizabeth is definitely the stereotypical older sister. She keeps an extra eye on her siblings and sticks her nose into their business. She’s the first of the siblings to run to their parents when something goes wrong, much to everyone’s annoyance. Thankfully, that calmed down once she went to school and made friends. Instead, she became quite focused on them, though she naturally still keeps an eye out for her family. She’s been out on her own for nearly five years and it is safe to say she is quite responsible and self-sufficient. She is also an Unspeakable. As far as the family knows, she is a Ministry employee, but none of them really understand what she does.

Eloise Warwick
 26 | Phoebe Bridgers | Hufflepuff | Artist
TAKEN

Eloise is the quietest Warwick sibling. Always with her head in the clouds, imagining up some sort of fantastical place or thing she wants to create. She’s always been the one to sit on the sidelines with her sketchbook. She is in on the action when one of her siblings forces her to be. She has recently started earning enough money as an artist to move out on her own, now living in a tiny flat in London

Ezra Warwick
 22 | Max Barczak | Slytherin | Healer
TAKEN

Confident and driven, it was never a doubt that Ezra was going to succeed in whatever he does. He always strives to be the best and will do what it takes to make that known. He may have a minor case of middle child syndrome, but it works to his favor. He was always making good grades, excelling in his extracurriculars, and socializing with everyone. He recently accepted a position as a junior healer, looking to save lives.

Evangeline Warwick
 15 | Patricia Broka | Ravenclaw | Student
TAKEN

Evangeline is fiery and strong. She claims to be fearless (put her next to a goose and find out just how untrue that is) and will never back down from a dare. She has quite the temper, though it takes quite a lot to push her past her breaking point. She will be friends with nearly anyone no matter what their background is. But, you better watch out if you mess with someone she cares about.

Easton Warwick
 14 | lLucas Lynggaard Tønnesen | Gryffindor | Student
TAKEN

The baby of the family, Easton is probably the most social and charismatic of the bunch. He has always had an easy time making friends and fitting into social situations, even ones where you would expect him to be the odd one out. He has a love for quidditch and hopes to be able to actually play once he gets to Hogwarts, especially because his parents won’t let him near a broom until he is at school.

rules for adoptions

PM me on site or on discord (shapeshifter#0324) if you are interested in playing any of the Warwicks. All face claims and character details are flexible (the only hard rule is that everyone’s first name must begin with an “E”). If you have any questions, please let me know!

Biography: (300 words minimum.)

Eloise Warwick was born minutes before midnight on Christmas Eve. Arriving into the world a month early, she was healthy but quite small. She was the second of five children born to Edwin and Eileen Warwick. With five children, the Warwick household could be rather hectic at times. However, Eloise was anything but. She was usually off in the garden collecting pretty rocks, flowers, and other trinkets. She’d bring these things back to her bedroom and replicate them in some way.

Sketches and paintings were hung haphazardly all over the side of the bedroom she shared with her older sister. She never had many friends, she was too shy to approach other children. Instead, she sat on the edge of the action with her sketchbook and pencil. Only getting involved when her siblings dragged her out to join in on the action.

Once she had gotten to Hogwarts, she was forced to open up a bit more. She didn’t have anyone except her older sister, Elizabeth to rely on. And Elizabeth was far too concerned with her own friends and classwork than to baby her little sister. So, she was on her own for the first time. Forcing herself to be social, she made a handful of friends she would drift between throughout her years at school. She was quite close with her friends and would do anything for them. It wasn’t quite clear to her why she was sorted into Hufflepuff until she finally made those friends.

Academically, Eloise was fairly average. She didn’t fall behind, but she spent a fair amount of time in her lessons daydreaming and doodling in the margins of her notes. She was not a notable student with her quiet nature either. She would not be surprised if her former classmates didn’t recognize her in the street. She kept to her small group and didn’t interact much outside of it. If people were to recognize her, it would likely be by her last name being associated with her much more outgoing siblings.

It was no question what Eloise wanted to do. A traditional career sounded like torture to her. She needed to create. Once she graduated, she focused on building up a portfolio. Drawing and painting were her strong suits, though she did dabble in other mediums. Spending days out in parks and busy streets, Eloise was finally able to start profiting off her work by selling her pieces, prints, and creating interest for commissions. She had finally saved enough to move from her parents’ country home to busy London.

Roleplay:

Option One -

Amelia Nixon was many things, but she was never a pushover reporter that people could just usher away with a busy shuffle past. She was dedicated and eager to cut to the very middle of the current political tensions because she was Amelia Nixon and her articles would most certainly become front page material.

“Sir, please! It’s for the Prophet, how do you feel-“

Another one brushed passed her, the shuffling busy masses making their way through Diagon Alley for the lunchtime rush. This had been the best possible time to get people, but none of them were giving her anything to go with.

Only momentarily discouraged, the short red headed lady took a seat on a nearby bench. Her quill resting in her left hand and her notepad ready in the opposite hand. Amelia pouted, tapping the quill against her leg as she scanned the waves of people for somebody - anybody - who looked like they had something to say.

She had been dreaming of her name in bold print, Amelia Nixon: The Source of Today’s Tomorrow. She had been dreaming of the larger office and the secretaries that would fetch her the morning coffee and fetch her anything she needed. The VIP interviews and the most exclusive press passes. But all Amelia had was a page seventeen piece on the rising number of frogs in London.

Hardened by a day of no success, the reporter stood up and started to trod off down the alley. A loose stone on the cobble path caught her heel, sending the distraught girl toppling down to the ground.

“Merlin’s fog watch, my heel is broken! Help!” she yelled as she tried desperately to recover her shoe frantically in the middle of the Diagon Alley moving crowds.

Roleplay Response:

For someone so introverted, it is quite surprising that Eloise loved the bustling streets of Diagon Alley. She much preferred the crowds than empty streets. It was quite easy to disappear in a crowd. Nobody wanted anything from you, they just wanted to get through the mess of people. She didn’t realize how much social interaction her job would actually entail. She had to get to know her clients and discuss what they were looking for in her art.

In Eloise’s hands was a canvas, wrapped neatly in brown paper. She was delivering a commission to a client. This was her second of the month and she had sold two other pre-made pieces and a couple prints. Finally, she was making enough to not only survive, but to live a bit more comfortably.

She wasn’t looking to become the next Van Gogh or Da Vinci, but she just wanted to do what she loved and not have to worry about eating or paying rent. That was everyone’s dream, she supposed.

It was a blur of action that prompted Eloise to turn away, pulling the canvas close to her chest, in order to protect it from being hit by… a falling person?

Stopped in the center of the action, she looked down at the redhead for a moment before realizing she should do something. Shifting the parcel to one arm, Eloise reached out her hand.

“Do you need some help?” She offered, her voice just loud enough to not be considered a whisper.
