Name: Rylyn Conner

Year Requested: sixth Year
Reason for Transfer:
Rylyn’s parents where stuck in England when the boarders where closed, His father deiced to move back into his childhood house and meaning Rylyn has to move also. With Salem closing Rylyn has no reason to stay in North Carolina despite his best efforts to say other wise.
Biography:
Rylyn is an only child from a very nomadic but wealthy pureblood family From England. His family is usually stationed in Charlotte, North Carolina where he was born so he developed his morals and of course his charm from the “Southern Gentleman” archetype. His parents were always too busy to bother with him so he became independent at a young age, this lead to him having very strong and deep rooted abandonment issues. He doesn’t like making friends because he’s scared they’ll just up and leave. He’s street-smart, cold, cruel, and calculating but he’s always a gentleman and may have a bit of a hero complex but only for the ladies and maybe some younger children. Having traveled around the world he speaks French, Spanish and German along with English. Rylyn is a very selfish person considering he’s never had to share with anybody, if he sees something he wants he’ll use everything he has to get even if it means going against his morals.
Having fended for himself majority of his childhood he doesn’t like relying on people to get things done. He believes that if you want to change the world you’ll have to go out and change it yourself. Once when he was little he was walking around a village he doesn’t remember where it was just that there were a lot of poverty stricken people. He saw a man obviously very wealthy just waltz in and demand the family in question give him what he desired. All he could remember was crying and begging and the man looking so smug. Ever since than Rylyn has been somewhat cold towards people who flaunt their wealth.
Rylyn is extremely charismatic mostly because he’s been manipulating people for so long. He’s always secretly hoping a fight will break out or a debate or something where he can crush his opponent. His parents while nomadic are very traditional and think he should spend his time at school and traveling during the summer looking for potential brides. Having already thwarted several betrothal attempts Rylyn is at ends with parents…even more so than usual. He feels as if he should be trying to get to the top of ladder by any means necessary whether it’s dirty politics or bribing he has seen all tricks at work.
He doesn’t care for blood purity all though he does take stock into what he thinks the proper women should be. In some ways it differs but only in the damsel in distress he thinks she should be a deadly as he is…However his lack of luck in finding one makes him think his search is pointless and he tends to focus on his master plan finding someone to share the throne will can wait.

His accent is he one of his heaviest weapons, he uses it to manipulate the ones around him whether it’s a male or female. He’s always looking for a fight to strength himself in not only magic but experience. IF you do get a chance to see him for he really is or work your way into his heart than you’ll see him as charming and ambitious but if you’re on his list you’ll see him as ruthless and he doesn’t care he’s more than efficient at watching his back.

He’s 5’9 and growing, athletic and always moving. His hair is long and untamable often tucked behind his ears to give people a clear view of his gorgeous blue eyes. He has a shy smile that is always threatening to turn into a smirk.

Rylyn really didn’t want to be here..at least not with the boy beside him. He had things to do and staying here with some person he didn’t trust as far as he could throw him. The subject was a good one and enjoyed learning about wars so the Civil War wasn’t far from his alley. There was always a political upheaval after a war during the chaos it was always easy to take control. Rylyn continued to listen to the boy sigh as he flipped through pages. Why was partner work so important? Snorting softly to himself “because Rylyn you need to work with people who are being manipulated” he turned his attention to the boy just long enough to hear him say
"How about I write the essay and stuff? You can just put your name on it. Sound good?"
Rylyn looked at him darkly before taking a deep breath trying to center himself. Surely this boy wasn’t implying that he should just mindlessly follow him.
“That would be a negative although if you would like to just put your name on it that would be okay. Or here’s a crazy thought we could actually work together and get it done faster. Just a heads actually reading the book instead of flipping through helps.”
Rylyn said grabbing the copy of Wars: Old and New by Kevin Torvalt. He didn’t wait for the other boy to respond before he began skimming the part on the civil war and taking notes.
